We only managed to spend a couple of hours wandering around the site and would definitely come back. A fantastic array of mosaics.

The cheap entrance price to the Pafos Archaeological site completely undervalues the wonderfully rich collection of ancient remains to be found inside. These are chiefly in the form of mosaics, many of which have easily identifiable stories. Pictures of Scylla, Narcissus, Pyramus and Thisbe, Ganymede and many others are easily identified. Much care has been taken to restore and protect these treasures. The grounds themselves are a pleasure to walk around with views out over the Mediterranean as well as over Pafos. You can find the semi-circular odeon quite easily and sit there with a cool drink while you try to work out what all the ruins might once have been. If you did not bring anything to drink there are vending machines tastefully housed in the middle of the site. Give yourself plenty of time and if you can go in spring before it is too hot.

We were here in October 2012 for the first time, 10 minutes walk from large car park in Paphos harbour.

Venue is not too large but still seast roughly two hundred but easy to view and hear plays from any angle in the outdoor amphitheatre

amazing how well this site has lasted, however if visiting on a hot day make sure you take lots of water as the site is very large and there is no shaded areas

Very interesting site and saw some fascinating mosaics. Can I apologise to all of the attendants who seemed to be having arguments with each other and were totally disinterested in us.
