At 3.40 Euros, puts the prices in our country to shame. Excellent mosaics, you can even walk on some of mosaics on the paths. Well worth a visit.

If Roman archaeology is your thing then Kato Pafos Archaeological Park (World Heritage Site) should be high on your priorities when visiting Cyprus. There's plenty to see here with excavations still on-going. The mosaics are absolutely stunning with the best ones protected by purpose built structures (also handy to shelter from the sun on a hot day). You should allow yourself at least a good half day to wander round here and get the most from your visit. Consider taking a picnic with you. You can buy cold drinks near the House of Dionysos from a despensing machine, but that's it. The €3.40 admission charge seems very reasonable give the quality of archaeological remains.

A cynical teenager found himself enjoying this despite himself. Amazing mosaics and better facilities than I had expected.

For anyone who likes classical history, these are some of the best mosaics you are likely to see. The House of Dionysus has various stories from the life of the god, including the story of the first wine drinkers. This part of the site is under cover, probably to protect the mosaics. I particularly liked the Room of the Four Seasons, with various heads, personifying the seasons. At one edge of this mosaic is the inscription "rejoice" in Greek and on the opposite side (also in Greek) is "you too".

I liked the site so much I went back three times!
