As stated in the other reviews, this hotel needs refurbishment but the rooms were clean and the staff friendly. We particularly liked the fact that the sunbeds could be moved from around the pool area and taken to the edge of the grounds which overlooked the sea.

Breakfasts were good - the orange juice and 'bubbly' produced a refreshing Bucks Fizz -and the evening meals were unobjectionable - despite 'theme nights' they were characterised by a certain sameness of dishes and the choice of desserts was limited. However, nothing in previous reviews had prepared us for the gloominess of the dining room with its high ceiling and inadequate lighting. Situated on the floor below reception, it was OK during breakfast when the sliding doors were opened onto the pool area but it was depressing in the evenings when it was dark outside and lit only by a few chandeliers with dim bulbs and an insufficient smattering of small lights recessed into the ceiling. It was almost impossible to read the wine list on some tables in the corners of the room and the Head Waiter was quite abrupt when we asked if we could sit somewhere else.

Recurring daily activities were archery, French boules, bingo and quizzes. On two evenings guests could dance on the small dance floor to pleasant live music provided by a singer and instrumentalist. On the second evening dancing became impossible because the floor was invaded by children who seemed to think this was an extension of their earlier junior disco, and adults were reluctant to dance for fear of colliding with them.

We had a reasonably pleasant holiday but probably won't return.

We stayed at the Imperial for the first 2 weeks of October. The weather was excellent with only a couple of days that there was a sprinkling of rain. The staff at this hotel are fabulous - all very friendly and efficient. The animation team work incredibly hard and are hilarious. (Hi Kristina). Everywhere was clean and the food was really good. The drinks were a bit on the expensive side but not that much more than anywhere else on the island. We made good use of the happy hours with drinks half price. There were some lovely people also staying at the hotel and the hotel gave good vibes to ensure everyone was relaxed and happy. There is a lovely walk from the hotel to Paphos Harbour and local buses only cost one euro to the Harbour, Coral Bay, Paphos Town etc. We hired a car though and visited lots of places on the island. Nicosia and Larnaca were lovely as were Latchi and Polis. The only things that I would change at this hotel for our stay would be to have a king size bed and possibly a few more British channels on the TV in the room for when you are just chilling out - but apart from that, a wonderful holiday with wonderful people. Special thanks to Anton and the rest of the bar waiting staff who were impeccable.

Had a very relaxing two weeks at the Louis Imperial Beach, The staff are great, not a bad thing to say about any of them.
The Hotel may not have been the newest in Paphos but it was kept very clean. The food was a good stranded, for buffet style, always something for all tastes.
The entertainment staff wear very hard working with they ecliptic stage shows, not to all tastes but very good.
All in all a good all round holiday.

ju.st returned from two week holiday at the louis imperial and had a very relaxing enjoyable stay. We are seasoned travellers having been to the caribbean several time, Egypt, most of the greek islands and Cyprus a couple of times. We read the reviews before we booked and noted the remarks about tatty dated decor and how it could spoil a holiday! When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised as the hotel looked clean and modern. Our room was large clean and had fab view of sea and right along to the harbour. It was our first wedding anniversary and there was some fruit and a bottle of wine in our room-nice touch. The dining room is large clean and airy no tatty tables/chairs and could eat outside for breakfast and lunch. Waiter service for drinks was good and were spot on for clearing and tidying tables. Food was good however I personnally found it a little bit repetative. Pleased we were all inclusive as would have cost a fortune to buy drinks and snacks for a fortnight. Although there were only four members of the entertainment team ( Sandro Christina, Sarah and Mick) They put their heart and soul into the activities and nightly entertainment (especially the bingo with Sandro) so congrats to them all. Nice walk along the sea front via new pathway into town centre and took about 20-25 mins, also good bus service with a bus stop round the corner from hotel. All in all we had a lovely holday, courteous staff and very pleasant hotel. We would return to the Imperial again.

We had a very restful week doing exactly what we wanted to do. We enjoyed taking part in the various activities throughout the day. The hotel is situated beautifully for entering the sea from the beach. No complaints about the food, always something to suit. Animation staff were great and worked very hard in the evenings. The grounds and sunbeds were exceptional, very clean very spacious. Would expect the winter season to be very good when the dancing takes place.
