“Wonderful hotel in a great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

We had a weeks all inclusive holiday here at the end of May. From start to finish this hotel was excellent! We recieved complementary drinks, anything from beer to fizzy wine or oj, and some snackes to enjoy during our check in. We were given a sea view room on the 2nd floor, over looking the tennis courts and outdoor bar area. The veiw was lovely and we were happy with the situation of our room, very close to the lifts on that floor.

The room was really nice, spacious, modern and flawlessly clean. The room was fresh, bright and well laid out for the 2 of us. The bathroom was very roomy and the shower had good pressure. Our towels were changed every day, as was the room cleaned and the mini bar replenished with soft drinks. Id advice taking a bottle opener as the fizzy soft drinks come in glass bottles and are all branded. We survived with out a bottle opener by using the teaspoon to open them instead! There is no need for travel adappters as the sockets are all UK standered power points, which was a plesant surprise. There is a big flat screened tv, with limeted channels, and the beds are twins pushed together, which didnt bother us as they were so comfortable, best nights sleep in ages! The air con is easy controlled and very effective. There is also plenty drawer and hanging space. A safe is also available for 21 euros.

The pool side is very spacious and loads of sunbeds, but if you was a poolside spot you have to be up sharp as the good old brits are up at the crack of dawn reserving their loungers!! We chose to stay away from the poolside simply as we prefer the quiet of being away from the comotion and typical noise thats happens there, (yelling kids, music, amimation team games etc). We found a great spot in the gardens in grassy areas beside the beach part. The area was less busy with loungers so you had alot more space, and we were only 30 seconds from the main pool, the beautiful adult only indoor heated pool, or the sea. We had a constant supply of drinks brought to our loungers, the guys are very plesent and always happy to keep you supplied with any kind of drinks from 10am onwards, Nic did a great job of making sure we were always refreshed. The gardens are kept beautifully and there is often a gardener out looking after his pretty flowerbeds. The beach isnt very big as its more rocky than sandy but is a pretty little cove that has a natural part to paddel or have a swim in, and its not very deep, just nice as a change to a dip in the pool. There are water sports available just beside that part but its independant from the hotel. We didnt try them but plenty did. You can get beach towels from the hotel free of charge, you only have to leave a 10 euro returable deposit for them. (Our 20 euro towel deposit paid for the safe hire for the week as you pay for the safe on checkout)

The all inclusive meals very amazing. we really enjoyed all our meals, for breakfast you could have anything, and I mean anything! So much choice, all self service. Lunch was much the same, I enjoyed the pizza, and all the salad items, and there was a reasonable amount of selection in the evening. Most evening there was a roast, they were all delicious and there was a fantastic mix of veg choices too. Deserts were lovely and the selection was good both at lunchtime and evening meals. We read in the broucher before leaving that men were requested to wear long trousers and no flipflops during the evening meal. My partner bought 2 pairs of chinos for the occation, but we were slightly miffed that others and quite a large proportion of gents still wore shorts and flipflops. I think this needs to be either addressed more firmly, or forgoten about completely. At the moment it sends very mixed messages.

One evening we dined in the asian themed resteraunt and it was also amazing, the food was beautiful and very tasty. Well worth a visit. It also was a lovely mid holiday change to our evening routine.

We didnt really watch much of the evening entertainment as its not really our cup of tea generally, but from the little we did see it looked of high quality compaired to other hotels. We choose to sit in the hotel bar in the evening and enjoy the many cocktails on offer, the girls never let your glass run dry and were all extreamly polite and friendly.

The hotel is situated about a 20/25 min walk from the center of pathos, the walk is a lovely gentle walk along the coast, day or night. The airport is only about 20 mins coach transfer.

We would definatly return to this hotel, it was a fantastic holiday where the staff couldnt do enough for you, the overall experience was excellent, and I cant recomend it enough.

Room Tip: Pay the bit extra for a sea view, as the non sea veiws dont look out onto anything other than some b...

We have just returned from our may school half term break. Myself, my husband and 11 year old son had such a fantastic time. The hotel has recently been refurbished. We stayed in a family double and must say this had the best bed I have ever stayed in abroad, just wish the one at home was as comfy. The service was excellent right throughout the hotel from cleaners to waiting on staff and the drinks guys who deliver to your sun lounger. The new MURA restaurant served delicious food and is worth a visit , just book the day before. The food in the main restaurant changed daily so there was always somthing to please everyone. The animation team made our holiday that extra special. Faye and Brendan are a credit to the animation team, making us feel so welcome on our first night. The entertainment team were very good with plenty going on if you wanted to take part and unlike other hotels if you didn't want to take part then they left you in peace with no pestering. Our family will return to this hotel again in the next few years. Just one thing Please sort the lifts out as they went a bit mad for a few days before we left.

Room Tip: Ask for a harbour sea view

Just got back from a fantastic holiday at the imperial beach hotel, alll the staff were really friendly, food was delicious and there was always something yummy to eat. We tried the Mura restaurant the food was out of this world by far the best on site restaurant I have been to on a holiday it was yummy! We travelled as a group and really enjoyed the evening entertainment by the animation team. My little girl loved the mini disco and attended some bits of the kids club. We generally get up late so quite often missed out on sun beds directly around the pool but the maintenance man outside was always soooo helpful and found space for the 7 of us to all sunbathe together getting us parasols etc and the outside waiters were brilliant at bringing us drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. The hotel manager invited us to a cocktail evening and took time to chat to us all it was great and when my daughter managed to leave her spoon from home in the restaurant which was silver the same colour as the normal cutlery someone managed to find it and return it to our room for us it's that kind of care and attention which I found brilliant I will definitely be going back next year xx

We have just returned from a two week holiday at the Louis Imperial and one word to describe our experience is AMAZING! We are a family of 4 with two children of 1 and 5. My husband and I got married at the hotel and from start to finish all the staff couldn't do enough to help us. A special thanks goes to Andreas who was fantastic and went out of his way to make our day the best day of our lives which it was. All the staff are brilliant, very friendly and always have a smile on their face. The animation team are superb and my 5 year old son felt at ease and joined in the mini disco, which he has never felt the confidence to do before. He particularly loved Fay and Jodie and was very upset to be going home. The animation team are not pushy but will ask if you want to join in but if you say no, they will leave it at that. The pool side bar staff were always very attentive and again very friendly. The food was of great variety and good flavour as were the drinks. Our room was a good size and if I could have taken the bed home, I would have! Something I have never said about hotel beds before!! Im truly gutted to be home and would like to think we can save to go to this wonderful hotel again next year for our 1st anniversary. Thank you Louis Imperial, the two weeks were the best of my life! x

We stayed at this hotel in May 2013 just after it had been refurbished. We booked the honeymoon room and weren't disappointed! The sea views are amazing and the rooms very spacious. We had the whirlpool/ jacuzzi bath in our room but there are no instructions on how to use it so after one very wet failed attempt we gave up. No instructions are given as to where anything is in the hotel which is annoying but luckily all the other guests were very friendly and helpful. Waiting for the lifts was very annoying as the only stairs were hidden away and only to be used as a fire escape. The pool area is nice but watch out for people reserving sunbeds they start at 6:30am putting down their towels.
The staff in the bar and dining area were all very friendly and helpful. It was so nice to be waited on and have drinks brought to us on our sun loungers!
The only real issue we had was when we arrived at the hotel we were reminded that all men MUST wear trousers to the evening meal and the receptionist told us unless trousers were worn guests could not enter the dining room. My partner had forgotten to pack his so the receptionist told us we must buy some if we wished to eat in the dining room that evening. We rushed out to buy a pair straight away as it was already late and hurried back. Upon entering the dining room we noticed a very high percentage of men were in fact wearing shorts and flip flops with no comment being passed. This did really irritate us especially as the dining room had no atmosphere and was very depressing. The food overall was average- a mixture of different dishes but lunch the next day was just the evening meal re heated and served slightly differently. For most of the week we ate out at night in the harbour which was lovely. We made full use of the bus stop outside the hotel travelling all over the island. It was €3 a day or €13 for the week and the buses are every 10 minutes.

Room Tip: Go for a sea view! The other rooms have a boring view of a car park.

Dear guest,

Our "thank you" for your decision to spend your holiday at the Louis Imperial Beach.

We are delighted that our honeymoon room suited you and you enjoyed wonderful views from your balcony. It is a joy that you found our pool area nice, and note our attentive bar staff at the pool with their thoughtful service. We are sorry that we could not satisfy you fully and for this we want to apologize. We regret to hear that due to lack of information you could not use your Jacuzzi, and will follow up your comment immediately. As for general information about the hotel, there is a Directory of Useful Information in the room folders, as well as a Welcome Leaflet provided to every guest upon arrival. We are surprised to hear about our food, as we mainly receive only positive feedback, please be informed that all our food is cooked freshly and in no way do we regenerate meals from the previous day. If this was the case we would not to be having different themed dinners every night. Nevertheless we respect your opinion, and will certainly inform our chefs accordingly. Regarding the dress code issue, we are happy that you confirm the extensive efforts made by our staff in order to ensure a more formal ambiance to our dinners. Unfortunately our advice is sadly not followed by everybody, causing unrest to persons like yourselves.

We hope that despite some negatives you had a relaxing holiday , and we hope to get a second chance and welcome you again to the Louis Imperial.

Sincerely yours,

The Management.

Stayed at this hotel from 15th May to 29th May 2013. As we had previously stayed at the hotel we asked for a room in a particular area. When we arrived we were allocated the room we had asked for which was a nice touch.
The hotel has recently had a major refurbishment and this was noticeable. It had only reopened on the 1st of May and the staff could not have been more helpful. The bar staff in the Fontana bar were particularly friendly and you never had to go looking for a drink as they were always going round the tables ready to take another order. We were on an All Inclusive package and there were no armbands to wear as once the staff new you they took the order with no hesitation or identity checks.
The bedrooms are comfortable and clean with a fridge which is stocked daily with water and soft drinks. The air conditioning is quiet and effective as it gets very warm in Cyprus.
The food in the restaurant was excellent and plentiful with lots of choice and wine or drinks on demand at both lunchtime and dinner. Again the staff here were most helpful. The addition of the Mura Asian restaurant is also a bonus and we dined here twice, again enjoying a great meal and service.
The hotel position is very good with a large garden area leading to the beach and plenty of sunbeds ( although to get the best positions you had to be up early).
All in this was a wonderfull stay and we would recommend the hotel for both couple and families.
One small issue is the habit of some guests wearing shorts for dinner when the instructions in the room clearly state that gentlemen should wear long trousers. The restaurant staff should enforce this as they would only need to tell them once and they would learn.
Overall this stay was most enjoyable and we will return for a further stay.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are worth the extra cost
