We had a weeks all inclusive holiday here at the end of May. From start to finish this hotel was excellent! We recieved complementary drinks, anything from beer to fizzy wine or oj, and some snackes to enjoy during our check in. We were given a sea view room on the 2nd floor, over looking the tennis courts and outdoor bar area. The veiw was lovely and we were happy with the situation of our room, very close to the lifts on that floor.
The room was really nice, spacious, modern and flawlessly clean. The room was fresh, bright and well laid out for the 2 of us. The bathroom was very roomy and the shower had good pressure. Our towels were changed every day, as was the room cleaned and the mini bar replenished with soft drinks. Id advice taking a bottle opener as the fizzy soft drinks come in glass bottles and are all branded. We survived with out a bottle opener by using the teaspoon to open them instead! There is no need for travel adappters as the sockets are all UK standered power points, which was a plesant surprise. There is a big flat screened tv, with limeted channels, and the beds are twins pushed together, which didnt bother us as they were so comfortable, best nights sleep in ages! The air con is easy controlled and very effective. There is also plenty drawer and hanging space. A safe is also available for 21 euros.
The pool side is very spacious and loads of sunbeds, but if you was a poolside spot you have to be up sharp as the good old brits are up at the crack of dawn reserving their loungers!! We chose to stay away from the poolside simply as we prefer the quiet of being away from the comotion and typical noise thats happens there, (yelling kids, music, amimation team games etc). We found a great spot in the gardens in grassy areas beside the beach part. The area was less busy with loungers so you had alot more space, and we were only 30 seconds from the main pool, the beautiful adult only indoor heated pool, or the sea. We had a constant supply of drinks brought to our loungers, the guys are very plesent and always happy to keep you supplied with any kind of drinks from 10am onwards, Nic did a great job of making sure we were always refreshed. The gardens are kept beautifully and there is often a gardener out looking after his pretty flowerbeds. The beach isnt very big as its more rocky than sandy but is a pretty little cove that has a natural part to paddel or have a swim in, and its not very deep, just nice as a change to a dip in the pool. There are water sports available just beside that part but its independant from the hotel. We didnt try them but plenty did. You can get beach towels from the hotel free of charge, you only have to leave a 10 euro returable deposit for them. (Our 20 euro towel deposit paid for the safe hire for the week as you pay for the safe on checkout)
The all inclusive meals very amazing. we really enjoyed all our meals, for breakfast you could have anything, and I mean anything! So much choice, all self service. Lunch was much the same, I enjoyed the pizza, and all the salad items, and there was a reasonable amount of selection in the evening. Most evening there was a roast, they were all delicious and there was a fantastic mix of veg choices too. Deserts were lovely and the selection was good both at lunchtime and evening meals. We read in the broucher before leaving that men were requested to wear long trousers and no flipflops during the evening meal. My partner bought 2 pairs of chinos for the occation, but we were slightly miffed that others and quite a large proportion of gents still wore shorts and flipflops. I think this needs to be either addressed more firmly, or forgoten about completely. At the moment it sends very mixed messages.
One evening we dined in the asian themed resteraunt and it was also amazing, the food was beautiful and very tasty. Well worth a visit. It also was a lovely mid holiday change to our evening routine.
We didnt really watch much of the evening entertainment as its not really our cup of tea generally, but from the little we did see it looked of high quality compaired to other hotels. We choose to sit in the hotel bar in the evening and enjoy the many cocktails on offer, the girls never let your glass run dry and were all extreamly polite and friendly.
The hotel is situated about a 20/25 min walk from the center of pathos, the walk is a lovely gentle walk along the coast, day or night. The airport is only about 20 mins coach transfer.
We would definatly return to this hotel, it was a fantastic holiday where the staff couldnt do enough for you, the overall experience was excellent, and I cant recomend it enough.
