This museum is neatly laid out. It has a good range of interesting exhibits spanning thousands of years of history from the Paphos area.

“Worth the visit”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

The Paphos District Museum is located in Ktima (the upper part of Paphos), close to the City Hall. There are some interresting ancient artifacts inside (like a rare sculpture of Goddess Aphrodite, holding a sword), beautiful organised.

“Small but Interesting!”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

If you've visited the the Archaeological Park at Kato Paphos and the Tombs of the Kings, spare some time to visit this small museum situated in Ktima (Upper Paphos) as many of the exhibits have come from these sites and the Paphos district.
It is quite a walk from the centre of the Upper Town and you do begin to wonder if you've missed it! It is a small unremarkable building surrounded by a nice garden displaying some architectural exhibits. The entrance fee of €1.70 (May/June 2013) is very reasonable and includes a small leaflet in English to guide you around the museum. There is a good collection of ancient glassware and urns and vases, not to mention some superb statuary - 2 statues of Aphrodite are beautiful. There is also some exquisite gold jewelry - the inhabitants of Nea Pafos.don't seem to have been short of money! There is also a unique exhibit of terracotta hot water bottles designed to be placed on various parts of the body and they are moulded to fit that part of the body.
Outside at the side of the museum building, there is a large collection of sarcophagi, tombstones, architectural mouldings , capitals, fountain heads, friezes, etc. and some things I haven't a clue what they were! - but all worth a look.
Unfortunately, there is no cafe in the museum but there are several within a short distance on the road back into the town centre.
