Rather apocryphal story surrounding the pillar, but his is a great part of Paphos to wander round, and the church has some good decoration.
The museumy bit wasn't open at the time but the church and ruins were free and well worthwhile.

Very accessible from the harbour area just behind Debenhams. Viewing platform gives adequate views of the pillar and the ruins of the church. This lead directly to the little church which is used by Catholics Anglicans Maronnites and Phillipinos.A real community place

The owners are exceptionally co-operative and we, as a group hold our pre Christmas lunch there and have always been satisfied. Gill, a retired English S.R.N. and her Cypriot husband, who is the chef Make everyone most welcome. Their Yorkshire puddings are HUGE and delicious.
