The romantic atmosphere (right on top of the waves, oil lamps were the only lighting) was well worth the money we spent at Ouzeri. However, the hot dishes we had were very disappointing, considering this was a 5-star hotel restaurant. Cold dishes were very good though, which is why we were disappointed when the hot dishes arrived. Service was impeccable too, but we would probably not go back for the atmosphere alone.

Ouzeri is the Almyra tavern facing the harbourfront. It sits right on the water and is a delightful spot to sit and have a drink or take a late lunch. The mousakka is excellent, and they do a nice small Greek salad to accompany it. A glass of wine is a bit more expensive than other spots nearby (about 6 euro), but you are paying for the ambience and the setting, which is worth it! So worth it we were back innumerable times.

We stayed in the Almyra and decided to eat one night in Ouzeri which is on the waterfront but also open to non-residents. The mezze were authentic and delicious, and the view over to Paphos Harbour at night was magical. We found the service efficient and courteous. This was one of the best meals that we had during our trip, highly recommended.

Whilst visiting Paphos we thought we would visit Ouzeri restaurant for dinner on Saturday evening. We were seated quickly and our drinks order taken, 10 minutes later our food order was taken.

The cold plates turned up quickly but we still waited for our drinks. Eventually we managed to get our waiters attention to point out we had no drinks. Our cold plates were cleared and hot plates arrived followed eventually by our drinks!

Regrettably one of our hot plates was incorrect, when this was pointed out our waiter responded with "we will get you a new one, it will be here once you have finished your plates". We it did eventually did turn up, we had long since finished our other dishes!

Getting our waiters attention took another 30 mins to pay the bill so ended up paying at the counter!
