Not sure this is Barnsely themed pub as other reviewers claim, I thought the accents were more Liverpudlian? Anyway, they certainly made us more than welcome and accommodated our peculiar requests re food. Yes, it was basic, but was clean good and wholesome. Drinks at reasonable prices too, unlike some places further along the high street. The entertainment was OK, but a bit 'old hat' perhaps with the usual Elvis impersonator - we left when the country singer came on.
There is a more authentic Cypriot restaurant almost next door which may be more to some people's taste (not ours!) - they cook chickens on a spit outside on the pavement!
