We found the room (inland view) clean and tidy. The hotel staff were very polite and the poolside bar staff worked hard at all times. The fully inclusive is a good deal, but you could struggle at times if you prefer plain food. The outside lagoon pool was lovely and clean at all times. We had no problems getting a sun lounger at the time of year we went (September 11th). We would recommend this hotel and would go back in the future.

Just got back from a weeks stay at the Kissos. My friend and I arrived in the early hours to be given the key to a truly terrible room but we were very tired and and decided that the next day we would have to change.

The room which we were initially given was awful, very small with a musty dank smell, very worn bedding and curtains which were hanging off. It was a joke, was so disappointed. Have never seen a worse room in my life. In the morning we went to reception and asked to be upgraded.

We were given the key to a superior room to take a look and this was a massive improvement. The room was much more spacious with a balcony and no nasty smell. It cost us an extra 115 euros but I don't feel like we had any choice as the original room was so dire that it would have had to much of a negative impact on our holiday.

I know that people say you don't spend much time in your room on holiday but I think it's important to at least feel comfortable in there and that it is clean. So, not the best start at all but felt much better once we moved into the new room.

The main eating area where you have your evening meal is very dated looking and could really do with a revamp. The food was not too bad. Have had worse on all-in holidays but have had better also. We didn't go hungry though - there was something that we both liked on offer every night. The red wine on offer is not very nice, tastes like vinegar so had to stick to white.

The rest of the hotel is quite nice, pool area nice and clean, plenty of sunbeds around. Pool bar area is nice and they have entertainment on almost every night.

Didn't really like the way that snacks were only offered between 11am - 12pm and then 4pm - 5.30pm. Every other all-in holiday I've had has always had snacks available all day. The all-in bar finishes at 11.30 (and not a min later) but this was ok as there are bars around the local area to visit anyway.

The staff in the hotel were lovely and very helpful. The bar staff at the pool bar worked really hard and were always very nice.

We booked a lazy day boat trip through the hotel for 35 euros each which was great but make sure you bring something to cover you up. We were out all day and it was 37 degrees so some high factor cream is needed for that one.

So all in all, a bad start but once the room situation was sorted then things improved. It's a shame that it had to cost extra to be put into the standard of room you would expect on holiday. It's not that the superior room was absolutely amazing but in comparison to the first room, it was like Buckingham Palace.

We stayed at the Paphos Kissos Hotel for a week in September. On the plus side the hotel is well laid out, lots of lounges, large dining room, pools, facilities etc. Staff very courteous and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Bedrooms - ours faced inland, but we hadn't paid an extra premium for a sea view. The bedroom was fine, airy and excellent air conditioning, which we needed as temperatures in the day were up to 37 C and warm at night. Food was buffet breakfast and dinner, good choices for a 3 star hotel. One Greek evening was near the pool, lovely food and a great effort by the staff. Away from the pool and evening entertainment the hotel was quiet, despite a large number of guests. Lots of local bars and restaurants just minutes away.

On the down side you had to pay extra to use the room fridge and tea/coffee making facilities which were pricey. Bathroom towels could have been better. The hotel was a bit out of town, but good bus services 1.50 euro or 6 euro taxi fare. Some of the evening dinner choices could have been better, but for 3 star we managed fine.

All in all we had a great holiday at the Kissos and would go back.

stayed here 4/9-11/9. we asked for a pool view but were told by reception that hotel was full and if we wanted a pool view it would cost 49 euro for the 2 of us per week so we declined out of principle. we were in room 108 with no sunshine all day and a lovely car park view lol. if you have an even number room your pretty much guaranteed no pool and no sunshine on your tiny balcony. we went half board but only ate breakfast as we like to eat out when away. half board was offered at same price as bandb when we booked. breakfast was good and always full English offered every day as well as usual offerings when abroad. we didn't buy anything in any way at hotel as we felt they tried to rip us off when we wanted a pool view. we didn't gripe about it and didn't dwell on it we just didn't want them to have any of our money. hotel is spotless, room large enough for the two of us and cleaned every day. we paid 35 euro for fridge and safe combined which we always feel is a must. nice little shop around the corner to get your water and beers to keep cold in fridge. plug sockets are same as in Britain. bathroom a decent size but could really do with an upgrade. this is an older persons type of hotel which is lovely and peaceful and very relaxing. if you turn left out of hotel there is a rocky beach just down the road and not very nice so we followed the coastal path to the harbour instead, took us nearly an hour but a lovely walk. if you turn right out of hotel shops, bars and restaurants are right there. good food in irish bar across the road and bus stop close by to go to harbour for 1.5 euro. went to harbour most nights as some great restaurants there and very reasonable prices. camares was our favourite and brilliant prices. we went to the bar next to hotel at the end of every evening called the kings road. if you walk down kings road about 250 meters and turn right there is a lovely bar called the queen vic pub, great staff and by far the cheapest strongbow in paphos, 2.90 euro. brilliant. we went to the coral bay beach most days, catch the bus by kfc just around the corner from hotel, 1.5 euro. we chose to use their sunbeds and umbrella at a cost of 7.5 euro for both of us although you can put a towel down for free if you wish. beach is gorgeous, lovely and clean and water warm and crystal clear. we visited the tomb of the kings just up the road past kfc which cost 1.7 euro each, vey cheap and well worth a visit although its a large area and no shade anywhere so a bottle of water is advised to take with you. we went to different places to check on exchange rates and they vary every where except by the indoor market near the captains bistro in the harbour. we got 115.9 euro to the pound. hotel were offering 102 and places around hotel were offering 111. not worth it when you consider the bus is 1.5 euro to the harbour. we bought cigs and alcohol in a small shop opposite the bus station at the harbour which is the last stop for you to get off the bus. cheapest we could find anywhere so we filled our boots as it were. we had a lovely week here and will certainly come back without hesitation. any holiday is what you make it and if any of what I wrote helps you in any way its gotta be good. happy holidays.

Room Tip: odd number rooms overlook the pool and have sunshine but be prepared to pay extra

Spent 2 weeks here 23/08/13 - 07/09/13. In room 245, great sized room , clean and good size bathroom with strong shower...staff were all honest and friendly...left an expensive item in room at check out and maid handed it in to reception..very grateful for that...only gripe I would have is five euro per day to hire fridge and no kettle...would definitely revisit hotel..first time in Cyprus and loved every minute

Just returned from 11 days at this hotel. Not altogether a bad experience but..
The towels smell fusty (not aired properly).
The pricing policy is confusing and its difficult to work out if All Inclusive is better, very expensive if not in the All Inclusive deal (a small soft drink is 2.5 Euro) also the times that All Inclusive is available 11am to 11.30 pm should be all day (ice creams and snacks 11am to 12am then 4pm to 5pm ONLY, no good for children) the staff were very particular in keeping to these exact times.
Dress code for the dining room is clearly seen on posters but people were not challenged on entering the room barefoot and in swimwear (off putting).
Also on notice boards was about the use of hotel towels not allowed by the pool, this was also ignored. The emphasis is clearly on taking your money rather than up holding the standards that they themselves set out.
Entertainment was poor, the animation guy Mark a very nice and friendly and good with the kids but the activities need to be upgraded and more fun for them.
Rooms are small and balcony is practically non existent.
Some of the sunbeds were unsafe and the astro turf around the pool need replacing.
Although not an expensive holiday expected a little better standards and value for my money if staying around in the hotel. I have been told there is to be a dual carriageway running directly past the end of the road this will mean the bars/restaurants will loose their frontages some have already closed, this will mean the Kissoss Hotel management must improve things to get returning customers...

Room Tip: Upgrade to superior is recommended.
