We stayed a week here and tried to spend as much time as possible away from this place. I'll start on a positive though - I enjoyed the breakfasts, although my wife wasn't terribly keen on them. Pool fine, not great, not bad and room service staff courteous.
My problems however started when checking in... we booked this place as it was cheap, however on checkin we found out AC was extra... d'oh! The cost of this pretty much made it a similar price as quite a few full service apartments. The temperature in Cyprus is HOT! AC should be as mandatory as a heater in Siberia. Checkin staff rude and didn't want to listen to my side of the story that it didn't say anywhere in the reservation that AC was extra. Hot and exhausted, we moved on in and as soon as I opened the door my nose got smacked around by a pungent damp smell - like a towel that never dried properly... except it was the whole room :( Apparently last room - I doubt it - but that's what the same checkin girl said so that's us for the week! Beds came from the 80s along with pretty much all other furniture and the whole ensemble was tired - several of my bed springs had reached the point of no return. Internet didn't reach room - although I guess that gave me a good excuse to get out of it. Location-wise its not bad, but is a while out of town but not far from Tombs of the Kings. There is a fairly nice walkway that follows the coastline and you can just cut in to get back to the hotel. There's a few restaurants around as well. I chuckled whenever I saw the banks of computers around the lobby as they were installed (I would say) at turn of 2000s when online betting was the next best thing. Why you wouldn't do this from your own PC and have to go to a specific hotel to do this is beyond me. You can now use these to surf the net - although at least half didn't work when we were there.
This really is just a motel. If you're staying more than a few days - do yourself a favour and pay an extra fiver to get an apartment - you won't regret it.
