“Great location, great rooms and great night team and day team.”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

Stayed for 2 weeks with my partner and son Ryan and baby Jessi. Rooms were spacious, great service from the night team (scottish man and wife) also day team Nicholas. Free high chair for use(also cots available free) baby floats for pool use. very friendly, cats are well looked after by the hotel and guests. (And my partner) Very clean, good location bus ride from coral bay beach, or harbour or can walk to harbour. Walk up road to the king of tombs. Loads of restaurants and walk from supermarket. Local bus routes just on main road. Would highly recommend staying as everything is just on door step, we had 1 bedroom apartment, inc living room with 2 beds(sofas) dining table and kitchen. Great for cooking in for kids. Free pool and table tennis tables and pool snack bar, gym, tennis court, indoor pool etc. By stef

Arrived quite late and was met by Ted the night ported. What a great guy he is and very helpful throughout the visit. The room was large and quite clean but like the rest of the hotel appeared to be a bit tired. The outsides of the buildings looked they had been recently painted but the insides could also do with some attention. We had a self catering apartment and although we had everything we needed it all seemed quite dated. We had a balcony which was good but the view was terrible. With a little thought the outside aspects of the hotel could be greatly improved. At the moment it's just bear earth with a few plants, whereas is grass or decorative stones were laid it would look so much better. The pool area was quite good but again the sun loungers were tired, but there was plenty of them.
The gym was very poor, the air conditioning unit had no controller, I asked for one but when I went back down the controller wasn't working so I gave it up as a bad job. The young lady behind the bar was very good, keeping the bar area very clean.
The hotel is located very close to the 'Tombs of the Kings Road', which has good bus links to the Paphos Harbour and Carol Bay. There's plenty of restaurants and bars and car hire places nearby. The beach is 5-10 walk.
We checked this hotel on tripadvisor when considering our visit and were a little disappointed with the hotel. We feel this is a good hotel to use as a base if your intention is to explore the area. But if you want to stay in the hotel and just use their facilities then I'd advise a different accommodation.

We stayed at the Kef from 19th June 2013 until 26th, we had room 402 on the bottom floor, nice big rooms with air conditioning, rooms very clean with fresh towels every day except Sunday, the owner Nicos was very pleasant along with the ever so helpful Ted the night porter and his lovely wife Helen who works in the bar. We will definitely go back, our son loved the pool area and also playing pool in the evenings! Thank you staff at the Kef! Xx

For a base we found the Kefalonitis Apartments to be of average standard. Not impressed when first arrived due to lack of welcome from the owner, dumped at bottom of apartment steps to make our own way up without any general guidance as to what to expect - ie how to get electrics and air conditioning working, when breakfast is served and process for room cleaning. Both towel rails were hanging off the walls and toaster was cracked. On 3 occasions we returned to our apartment to find that the balcony door had been left unlocked by the cleaners. Having read some of the reviews before booking we were under the impression that the apartments had been updated.
Location is off main drag of restaurants, bars and local shops, with a bus route available. Spent most of our evenings walking down to the harbour and having an evening meal, would recommend The Pelican restaurant.
As for the gym, don't waste your time looking for it - down stairs that look like they go nowhere and with old equipment which appears to be chucked in.
On the positive side we could not fault Anna who served breakfast, the evening bar staff and porter. The pool was a nice area to relax around when we wanted to unwind after a day out.
Would recommend a hire car and going to other areas of the island, in particular Pissouri, Polis and Latchi.
This was our first visit to Cyprus and if we go again we would not stay at these apartments.

Had a week at this hotel from 8th June to 15th June 2013 and have to say it was lovely. Our flight was delayed so we arrived a coupla hours late but thanks to Ted managed a beer before bedtime at 2 in the morning! Always had a lounger as was not crowded and the pool was lovely our 7 yr old daughter spent most days in there. You are near to lots of things which are all within walking distance and worth a visit. Will deffo consider returning to these apartments as they provide everything you need for a good holiday.

Room Tip: we had room 922 view wasnt spectacular but the sun was!

Once again this year another great holiday. Nicos and Ted again very helpful and always smiling. The E.U problem has not affected the Kefalonitis at all. Still as clean and a great service, prices about the same as last year. the food at the in house restaurant still as good Anna and the chef doing a good job. A lot of families enjoying their holiday. Free WiFi to keep up with your E-Mails. so it shows it is a great place to stay. New eatery just across the main road from Kefalonitis called Cocco's only be open a couple of months. The menu is from many countries very clean good food and service at a reasonable price.Hired a car from Tom and Despo (Koursaros car rentel) just across the road from the Kef at very good price. Do not hire from the Airport you tend to get ripped off.Koursaros car rentels will get a car to the airport for you at a good price. Started to book for next year.

Room Tip: The room around the pool are good but the one behind are quieter.
