We really enjoyed our stay at Damin Hotel. Our apartment was huge with very well equipped kitchen should u wish to use it.
The hotel is not far from a choice of bars and restaurants on Tomb of the Kings Road, and about 20minutes walk to paphos harbour and bar strip.
The pool area is clean with a nice atmosphere, although we preferred to sunbathe down at the Kefalos Beach Hotel (which is free for Damon guests) where you can get a bit more space aroun your sun loungers.
We found it very handy to have a mini supermarket on site.
All staff very friendly. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

This was our second visit and it was as good as the first visit. Staff are fantastic especially Linda and the bar staff not forgetting the cleaners who kept us in clean towels. All amenities were close at hand.Nothing was too much trouble. We are going back next year for a third time.

This hotel should take pride in its staff members. Pino (entertainer) was enthusiastic and amusing. He encouraged people to enjoy the daily entertainment programme and learnt participants names quickly. Reception, bar, waiting, cleaning, maintenance staff all tried their utmost to make each individual guest have the best holiday possible.

We went half board for 10 days. Breakfast is the same every day with plenty of choice. Each evening the main meal was buffet style down at the Kefalos Beach (Damon's sister hotel). Kefalos provided a very decent evening meal (Damon provided vouchers which you had to take with you each evening) and looked like it had excellent facilities. There was no personal touch like you felt you received at the Damon but the hotel is of a superior standard.

The room was spacious consisting of a lounge/kitchenette (a double and one single sofa bed was available in here), a bedroom (2 x single beds) and a bathroom. Balcony with a table, 2 chairs and an airer for drying your clothes. Nice powerful shower, plenty of hot water and clean towels. Air conditioning units in bedroom and lounge (free!!!) worked well and the rooms were kept cool. Our room was in C block and it overlooked the main pool. No complaints about the room, it was basic but very clean. The cleaner came in most days and made our beds, emptied our bins and gave us clean towels periodically.

The main swimming pool with adjacent toddler pool, was cleaned each day. There is also a second skinny pool round the back which is quieter, cooler in temperature. Sun loungers are plenty and it really does make a change not to get up in the morning and see every available sun lounger with a towel on it and no body in sight. The pool bar serves drinks, ice creams, cocktails and a food menu. The first week we were there I would say the hotel was made up of 90% British.

Evening entertainment was mostly Pino doing a quiz and bingo. All entertainment stopped at midnight so if you wanted an early night you were guaranteed all noise ceased by then. Thursday evening was BBQ night. 15 euros for food and entertainment (singer, fire eater) - we were 1/2 board so did not have to pay. Another evening there was a themed night with belly dancing, singers and food provided.

Out and about. The harbour is thriving and busy. There is a lot to see and do there. It is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel, longer if you take the scenic beach path. We also went on 2 of the red bus sightseeing trips which cost 42 euro per trip for a family of 5. Sitting on top of that bus, watching the world go by with near gale force wind blowing through your hair was excellent. We went on a 6 hour sea cruise (booked at the harbour), again no complaints with what we received and through a little bartering got the adults at 35 euros each and only paid 15 euros for one of the teenagers (the other 2 were free).

Location wise the Damon is pretty well sited with easy access (via a bus that costs 1.50 euros for a single trip, 5 euros for a 24 hour hop on hop off bus) to Coral Bay, Water Park, Zoo, Tombs of the Kings (this was 1.70 euros entry fee and in my opinion is excellent - it is a 15 minute walk or quick bus ride). I know this is not reviewing the actual hotel but nice to get some ideas on things to do.

In summary I would say this is a quiet hotel with nothing to complain about. It has a very personal touch but without the wow factor. Would we recommend ? ...... yes.

Room Tip: Request ground floor if you find steps difficult.

Having just returned from this holiday 10/07/13 We are a couple in our late 60s. I've got to rate it excellent value for money.
When booking we had mixed feelings due to some conflict of previous reviews on Trip Advisor. However, we were pleasantly suprised with the one bedroom aprt . Very spacious , clean , well equipped & more than adequate for our needs.
Staff where more than helpful, friendly & the entertainment excellent both day & night, _Pino the entertainment Manager is rated excellent.
On a more down note, we did note ONE cockroach in the corridor on the day we were leaving, others in other blocks did say they had them in their rooms, which I did observe.
Furthermore, there was a lack of general info on subjects such as: who makes the beds , who cleans the aprt. which taps to use for drinking water has there is 3 taps in all. Small point however, a general info sheet would not go amiss.
Finally dont let the later deter you from this accommodation , overall very enjoyable & a good time by all.

Room Tip: When booking ensure that you book a room with a pool room, its extra but worth it . other rooms over...

Cannot say enough about all the great staff! Daughter has multiple allergies and they had organised the room to suit her needs and arranged for a suitable meal even though our plane was delayed. Manager Andreas was very attentive, helpful and thorough. Restaurant Manager Yiassis was more than careful about was suitable, checking back on us almost daily and Receptionist Sophia ensured everything went well. It's the best attention regarding the allergies we have ever received over many years. Well done!
Overall the hotel room facilities are excellent, great air conditioning, clean room and surroundings with plenty of loungers and really good all round entertainment without being too noisy!

Great facilities in sister hotel a short walk away. Definitely worth a visit!
