I have visited Aliathon Village twice on business trips. The rooms where more than adequate with a spacious bathroom, a fully furnished kitchen and a nice bedroom. The whole “village” is pleasant for the guests. Keep in mind though that Aliathon Village is situated quite a long distance by foot from Paphos.

My husband and I had an amazing honeymoon here at the Aliathon. We stayed all inclusive for one week (2nd-9th October). We received a fruit basket and bottle of champagne on our arrival and were treated excellently throughout our stay.
We both also celebrated our birthdays during our week (6th and 8th October) and both received a card, balloons and a cake for our special days which was a lovely touch.
We simply cannot fault this hotel. Staff were so polite and friendly, the food was out of this world with plenty of selection also! We also literally had our pick of sunbeds each day which is always an added bonus!!
We enjoyed nights out in the Italian, Greek and Mexican restaurants where the hotel provided you with vouchers, again a nice touch.
My husband and I had a fantastic holiday and will return to the Aliathon again in the future!

We were at the Aliathon from the 6th to 13th November and what an excellent time we had. The hotel staff were great and extremely helpful, even before we arrived as they upgraded our room to a junior suite as we had been mislead by the travel agent on booking (we paid the €70 upgrade cost on arrival).

Upon arrival the reps and reception staff were very helpful and efficient and first impressions were good too. What a great idea aswell to transport guests to their apartments on golf buggies to save them having to hump and lump all their luggage. This was a great help to us with there being 2 adults and a 2 year old in our party with 3 cases 2 bags and a buggy.

Our apartment was very clean and ideally placed next to the splash pool with a short walk to the main pool and snack bar. The rooms were spacious and even had a playstation and flat screen tv in our daughters room.

The restaurant was again immaculately clean. The food was delicious and always had a great choice of dishes so you could always find something. There was also a set of dishes dedicated to children which was generally sandwiches, chips, pizza or spaghetti bolognese. Once again the staff were exceptional. Always polite, kind , curteous and would do whatever they could to help. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Our little one became ill while we were away and i cannot speak highly enough of all the staff whether they were first choice reps or staff from the Aliathon. They helped us find chemists to start with to get medicine but then sorted us taxis to and from the hospital when she did not improve and also for the morning we travelled home to make sure she was fit to fly. I know that sounds standard customer service but it was also how all the staff took time to ask how our daughter was whenever they saw us walking round the hotel once they knew she was ill.

We also had a problem with the travelcard we got from first choice when exchanging our money to euros and after numerous phone calls to the customer services number with no avail we went to our reps (Rach and Jen) and explained our situation. Once again the reps were brilliant and spoke with their manager to discuss what we could do and they tried our card in one of their handheld machines and it worked. Again this little gesture had saved us a good 10min walk and given us peace of mind while in the hotel instead of us worrying in the middle of the resort.

Overall i would recommend this hotel to anybody i know. Already in process of booking for next year and taking more members of our family. Can't wait to go back.

I had my wedding at this hotel I May this year. I had some problems with First Choice which is a separate issue and nothing to do with the hotel. The manager of the hotel was very helpful regarding my issues with First Choice and could not be more accomodating, so thank you.
In total there was 17 adults and 5 children, lots for the children to do, we didnt use the kids club but they were entertained for the whole 2 weeks and loved the kids water park.
We all really enjoyed the food, loved how things were cooked fresh to order, staff were really friendly and helpful, especially Valad the bar tender we had many of laughs with him.
Our wedding pics look great as there are so many great spots to take pics on aliathon site.
We walked down to the Paphos habour some evenings along the beach front which was lovely and a nice stroll took about 30 to 40 mins.
We have booked to go back next year for our anniversary, my son who was 3 when we went always talks about this cyprus holiday and asks when we are going back.
Price wise it does seem pricey but well worth it, I loved how clean it was and the pride taken on the gardens, I never saw one fag nub even though people obviously smoked and rooms cleaned daily was faultless.
See you next may from the Fishers x

Stayed here between 6-13th Nov - this was the last week of the season. The last time I visited Paphos was a few years ago in the September time - the weather at that time was very hot so I wasnt sure what to expect in the month of November. I have to say we were extremely lucky and the weather (in the day) was very warm - it gets dark at 5.00 pm so by 3.30 to 4.00pm you can feel it getting colder. Some nights it was chilly and you needed a cardigan. One night we did have a thunder storm.
The hotel has 2 swimming pools in the Aegian complex and one horseshape pool in the fishing village - all cater for the children.
Due to it being the last week, the hotel became very quiet as more quests left and although we did not starve you could see that the food choices and portions started to become less (at one point is was a case of "when its gone its gone")
The staff were very friendly and Marina who worked in the Adult pool bar was excellent.
In some respects it was nice to go at this time of year as the hotel was quieter and no queues.
We had a deluxe room and as we were a party of 2 couples we had rooms/balconies next to each other.
The hotel advertised that it did not want guests taking food or drink back to the room - the room also had a kitchenette so we bought milk and wine from the supermarket and stored these in the fridge. Each of the rooms in the fishing village are only a stones throw away from the pool bar in any case.
There were plenty of sunbeds on offer but this was probably due to the time of year and the decreasing number of guests - however each room had a table and chairs on the balcony and most also had 2 sunbeds so I would assume in peak season everyone would be accommodated.
we did use the spa and had some spa treatments - the girls there were lovely and the prices were reasonable (neck.back shoulder massage 25.00 euro)
the 611, 612 and 631 buses pass by the hotel - all travel to and from the Harbour - the 631 is the one to catch if you want to go to Aphrodite's rock. Please be aware that it takes about 45-50 mins to travel by bus (which is normally only half hour away) if you catch the 10.40 you will arrive at approx 11.25, the next bus back is at 11.35 (its the same bus) the next one back after this time is 15.05 - which is fine if you intend to swim in the waters and sunbathe but if you are only looking for a short stop then avoid the 10.40.
The single trip tickets are now 1.50 euro and the daily ticket is 5.00 euro - so if you want to go to the market for instance it is cheaper to pay 5.00 euro for the daily ticket as you need to catch a bus from the hotel to the harbour and from the harbour to the market and vice versa.
I would definately recommend this hotel for families and for couples in the late season.

just spent the last week of the season at Aliathon Village and found the whole experience wonderful! Staff friendly, first choice reps helpful, friendly and professional right up to the last day.We especially enjoyed the quiz at the poolside. The november weather was warm and sunny and wouldnt hesitate to go out of season again, not too many children just a few toddlers, ensuring that the resort in nice and quiet at night. Food in main restaurants excellent and didnt feel the need to visit the Greek or Italian restaurants,Our room was in the fishing village that the manager upgraded us to after i sent an email explaining the confusion we had regarding first choice booking agents in the UK.It was a misunderstanding and we had a room overlooking the pool with was wonderful!!! Only a 30 min walk to paphos harbour from the Aliathon but beware!! A coffee in a harbourside restaurant could cost you 4 euros each, so we never drank coffee down there again just walked further into paphos centre for one. The adults bar at the Aliathon was the only aspect of the village that i would change, the cosy tables for 2 and waitress service was quite irritating, it did not encourage couples like ourselves to sit and chat with other people, it was so quiet out on the balcony that when anyone spoke everyone else could hear you! It needs music to give it atmosphere and other couples we spoke to could not agree more, we saw a few of the guests down the road at the crocodile pub and pegasus pub because that is the only thing lacking at the Aliathon "a pub". To sum up, we had a fantastic time at the Aliathon village, met another really nice couple, Di and Ian. and are looking forward to visiting again next winter.

Room Tip: rooms overlooking the pool in the fishing village on 1st floor very nice

Firstly, must state that we stayed in a one bed superior apartment in the Aegan Village through First Choice on 6th to 13th November, which was First Choice's last week here before shutdown. As such, the Holiday Village was only about one-tenth full, and choice of food was limited, as was the number of drinks machines in the restaurant.
The village is very well laid out, and the apartment was clean, roomy and well laid out. Although al-inclusive, the room had a fully fitted kitchen area, with microwave, kettle, toaster, two rings and really clean utensils. There were two TVs, only News and Skysports news in English though, and also stereo unit and dvd player. The bedroom had a lovely canopied bed with double mattress, (asked for), which was unfortunately rather too firm.
The lounge had an iron bed/settee which was very uncomfortable for sitting on, and a small pull out single chair/bed. Plenty of storage space, and a safe which was only 3E per day.
The restaurant was a lovely area, inside or out, with super staff, specially Georgia. As we were there late in the season there were none of the themed nights offered, and drinks machines were down to the bare minimum, and if empty we had to wait a while for renewing. The meals were good enough but got a bit less choice as the week went on.
The pools were obviously quite cold as it was November, but the indoor pool and Jacuzzi were ok.
The village is towards the end of the resort, and the beach was a short rough walk away. The beaches were private to the other hotels. Therefore if you fancy a promenade stroll in the evening there really isn't anywhere to go.
Buses were frequent, every 15 minutes, to Paphos Harbour about ten minutes away. This is a lovely area with bars, restaurants and things to see. The Sightseeing buses, as in London, was a good way to see the local area with recorded commentary.
As this was our first visit here, we are not sure what the Holiday Village and area would be like in the busier summer months, but found the Aliathon to be a nice quiet late holiday. The weather in November was gorgeous, just right.
