We stayed at the Aliathon Holiday Village from 24th April - 4th May.

Check in was very quick and we were in our rooms within 5 minutes of arriving. On the last day you need to check out by midday. There is a luggage room in reception and a shower and towels next to the Aegean pool so that you can freshen up later if you have a late flight. In the luggage room there is a 'Swap Box' where people leave things they don't want to take home so it's worth having a look in there before you buy balls, lilos, beach toys to see if there is anything in there that would be useful to you.

We had a one bedroomed apartment in the Aegean side of the complex. The apartment was spacious, clean and well presented and looked out over well kept gardens. The apartment comprised a sitting/dining room with kitchen units at one end and a balcony at the other. There was a good sized bedroom and a well designed bathroom. There was ample storage and a good air conditioning system in each room.

The Aegean side of the complex has two swimming pools with bars and ample sun beds. These pools and those in the 'Fishing Village' were clean and well maintained.

We were on an 'All inclusive' package and ate all but two of our meals in the main restaurant. We found the food at every meal to be varied, of an excellent quality and beautifully presented - the best we have ever had in an all inclusive restaurant. Wine, beer and soft drinks are on tap in the restaurant for you to help yourself. The dining room was well set out and staff frequently changed and replenished dishes. There are inside and outside areas for eating and staff work hard to clear tables efficiently and keep all areas clean. There is a microwave if you find the food is not as hot as you would like and they will blend food for young children. You are given tokens to eat at the Mexican and Greek a la carte restaurants as part of the package and these are well worth trying as both served excellent food.

We used the local buses to get around. These cost 1 Euro per trip or 3 Euros for a day ticket. The walk into Paphos along the promenade takes about half an hour. The Paphos Archaeological Park and The Tombs of the Kings are well worth a visit and only cost 1.70 Euros per person.

We think the Aliathon offers something for everyone in that there are lots of activities on offer for children and a great Splash Pool but there is also an adult only pool and quieter pools on the Aegean side of the complex. Children are allowed in the main bar but after 8 p.m there is an adult only bar in the Fishing Village. The hotel is in a quiet area of Paphos but has easy access to Paphos town if you want bars/clubs. The beach is few minutes walk from the hotel. it is clean and sandy.

We had a great time and would recommend the Aliathon to families and couples.

We stayed in the fishing village in a deluxe 1 bed apartment. Although it is nicer than the older part I was slightly disappointed as was expecting better. Although the hotel is all inclusive - the rooms do come with some kitchen facilities. However, the kettle is tiny, there is no draining board where to put your washing up, we couldn't work out how to use the grill when our son wanted toast, & below the oven there are two drawers at toddler height with cutlery in & a sharp knife! Not a good idea!! The rooms are cleaned almost everyday, but the surfaces don't get cleaned & the floor only gets sweeped not mopped. There are four pools, but stayed mostly around the splash pool as our two year old loved it. A few down sides to it were there was not enough sunbeds/umbrellas around the splash pool & some days couldn't even get one hence people reserving them with towels in morning. The other down side to it is there is no bar nearby - you have to go to the one by the lighthouse which on some days had to queue for 10/15 mins as only 1 member of staff serving. All other pools each have bar available! The majority of the staff are friendly, but found that the bar staff could do with some customer service training!! On a good note the first choice reps are brilliant. They are always around to speak to or ask advice. We did not pre-book a kids club, but found we could do it when there which was good as wasn't sure our son would go, but they settled him in well. The food was okay - lots of choice, but never hot enough. We ate out a fair bit, but is expensive so be warned!

Room Tip: Rooms in fishing village are better located & more modern

Dear CafcWoking,

We thank you for choosing to stay at our Holiday Village Aliathon for your vacation this year and for taking the time to write this review on our trip advisor page.

We are pleased that your child loved to play in the splash pool and that the first choice representative were brilliant during your stay with us.

Regarding the rooms facilities, it is unfortunate that you felt there was not enough space in your kitchenette however please kindly note we offer this as an added extra for our all-inclusive guests. Thank you for your feedback and be assured it will be discussed at the next management meeting.

Concerning not having a bar at the splash pool, you will be pleased to know that after listening to our guest’s feedback we have built a pool bar which is now running at the splash pool very well.

We hope that overall you had an enjoyable stay with us at the Aliathon Holiday Village and we hope to welcome you back in the future for a better holiday experience!

Went to the Aliathon Holiday Village for Easter 2013 and have to say it was fantastic. The weather could have been a bit better but I will let them off on that one :)

For this holiday there were 7 of us (including the in-laws). The check in was speedy and the staff were all friendly and extremely helpful.

The cases were taken to our rooms and we were shown to them by another friendly staff member.

This is the only bad thing about the holiday. One of the rooms stunk of smoke. The staff were extremely apologetic and moved both parties to other rooms.

We had a lovely place next to the Aegeon pool. The room was perfectly sized for four and very clean.

The cleaners were excellent for the whole stay.

Alex at the pool bar was absolutely amazing and a credit to the company.

The food has to be the best food I have ever experienced on holiday. Although we were all inclusive I would happily have paid for it and gone back again. The waiters / waitresses were very helpful and polite.

The kids club, ran by first choice, was great and catered for all 3 of our girls (ranging from 4 - 9). The kids loved the various activities offered, especially the chocolate party. There was also entertainment on by the main pool throughout the day and it was fun to join in.

The evening entertainment was first class and aimed at the kids until 9:30 ish and then the adults after that.

Once again the bar staff were friendly and great at their jobs.

At the bar upstairs we were served by what can be only described as the best barman in the world. Vlad is amazing and made every visit fun and enjoyable.

As said earlier we couldn't fault the hotel and it seems as though they couldn't do enough to help.

The hotel is a good 30 minute plus walk down to the harbour by following the coast. For the lazier ones among us a bus stops outside the hotel and it costs a Euro per trip per adult. Kids go free and if you plan on multiple journeys a day pass is only 3 Euros.

The holiday was so good and we were so please we are going back for Half Term. Can't be a better recommendation than that! :)

Room Tip: Fishing Village is the busier end and the Aegeon Village is quieter

First of all, very friendly staff!
Not very happy with the rooms. We payed extra for a two room appartment, but it was big, cold and hardly no furniture. The toilet hardly worked. We asked for another room, studio this time, and got a much better one, but still in the ageon village (the older one) Should never have spent the extra money in the first place.

The kids travelling with us had a blast. Lots of fun for them in the pool area in fishing village. Would have preferred to live in this area.

All in all the aliaton is a nice hotell for families.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the Fishing Village

Regarding your room, we are sorry to read that the two bedroom apartment did not meet your expectations as we usually receive very good feedback about our two bedroom apartments in the Aegean Village. However, we understand that the needs and expectations of each guest are different therefore we try and provide enough variety and standards to meet all of our guest’s expectations. We are pleased that once moved you were happy with your accommodation and that you enjoyed the rest of your holiday.

We hope to welcome you back to our Holiday Village Aliathon in the future for an excellent holiday experience!

I stayed with my family in an apartment in the holiday village and I honestly can't say one bad thing about it! The hotel staff were great, rooms were great, food was very tasty, lots of variety! We stepped out of our room and literally stepped into the pool! We had our own bar, the barman, Alex Vaska was amazing! Couldn't of asked for a better one! He was very polite and was very impressive with his cocktail skills! I would definitely go back to this hotel, it was amazing! Don't hesitate to book, do it! You won't be disappointed!!
