We've recently returned form the Aliathon after a seven night stay. The resort is spotless as are the rooms and the eating areas, pools. We have a 2 year old who thoroughly enjoyed the creche facilities every morning from 10 until 1. A little confusion here as when we booked on-line with First choice we took the option to book 6 sessions up front which is ok but a session is 2 hours, not the 3 our son was in every morning so we had to rebook whilst there which cost a little more but was well worth it, he loved it and the staff where great with him. It would have been more useful to be able to get this information as well as opening times from First choice prior to our visit at the time of booking but no-one could give this upfront. This would certainly not put us off rebooking, the resort is lovely, the staff very friendly and the food was great too.

We have just arrived home from the Aliathon after a 11nt stay. I can honestly say we all loved our stay there. After reading trip advisor constantly for a mth before going I thought I would write something too. We stayed in a kids den room (rm 1157) requested a pool view = wow our room was opposite the lighthouse and we were really lucky as the terrace has the sun all day (some don't). Some people have mentioned the food not being that great, the food was warm, plates were heated also, the variety of food was acceptable in my opinion and kids menu was good (fish fingers, chicken nuggets, spag bol) snack pool was good and kids loved the fact that they could an for ice cream all day long:). All the staff were amazing Chris, Brad, Amy, Brett & Rich being my kids favourite!! They really do a great job and are all very friendly! Unfortunately the entertainment complex is poor (cow shed) feels unloved which makes the evening lack atmosphere. ( compared to majorca holiday village)It didn't stop us being in there every night for I 5 live & bingo ( which we won 3x) the entertainment team work so hard to make it work but they really deserve a better room to do their jobs! Would I go back? Like a shot!!!! Ps they have 3 pin plugs out there so travel plugs are not needed. Enjoy your visit.

Room Tip: Room 1157 kids den, stay in fishing village

Visited with partner and Children (then aged 2 and 1) in April 2011

Excellent hotel and pools. We stayed in fishing village. Rooms were fantastic, kids den with HUGE terrace which was perfect to relax and eat lunch at or chill out whilst the kids were napping. Staff lovely.

Restaurants. Difficult to get booked onto a la carte but not really worth it (Mexican). Food good but hard to construct a meal. Often no rice to match a meat/sauce diner etc. Quality excellent though. Kids stuff available but mine kids ate whatever we were having.

Entertainment. Excellent, often reps round by the pool doing the dances at lunch time that my kids loved. Evening entertainment was in the outdoor hanger type area which was cold when we were in there in April, but expect when warmer this was perfect location.

Beach - across the road not great - in fact no where really along there a decent beach. One a bus ride away.

Recommend walking into paphos. About 20mins (it seems all holiday villages are set way out of it).

People. Excellent. Lovely,

Kids club there, but mine hardly visted (used creche occasionally) but well organised with events into the evening if wanted.

Would recommend and revisit.

Room Tip: Fishing village - have large terraces.

We booked the junior suite, and have to say it was a lot of money for what it was! It is more like a studio with a room for the kids! The play station doesn't come with games-you can hire them from reception though we were told! We booked the room as most people seemed to say stay in the Fishing Village as the Agean area was tired. However, the older area was nice, clean and tidy, so can't see how it seemed so bad!
Beware-our friends were sold a room that was supposed to have inter connecting doors as a family were staying there. When we arrived we were told they don't have these and they were allocated separate rooms nearby! We were told a lot of families put the kids in one room, and adults in the other???not an option for our friends!however, the holiday village did try and help and found a 2bed appartment!
We were sold evening crèche sessions, but when we arrived to booked it, we're told our children at 3 and 5 were too old! Not sure why first choice called to sell them to us when they have all your details?!
The resort is good though, spotless, and the staff friendly! The pools were all lovely and clean, and one pool has a lifeguard, although be careful as in the old section, the pools are very deep and have no lifeguard.
We stayed for a week and you can happily stay on resort and not have added expense!
The kids club for 3-5 year olds seemed good! Our kids enjoyed it! It is free apart from a few session which had a small cost, but still worth it!
Overall, we are looking at going back as the kids loved it! A good holiday!

Just arrived back and all 8 of us (4 adults & 4 kids) have had a fabulous week and all gutted that we hadn't booked for longer. We booked a Delux room which is totally worth paying the extra for as its in the Fishing Village side which is beautiful and closer to the activies.
Food was lovely even if you have fussy eaters with plenty choice, pool snack bar is better than most all inclusive places, main restaurant buffet with plenty choices and we also tried the a la carte - Greek & Mexican both excellent.
First Choice Team worked very hard to make everyone have a great time and kids clubs and the family activities were great...... Thank you to you all!!!!!
Pools gorgeous and clean.
We found it impossible to pick any faults here and we are very regular holiday maker, if I had to think of one thing it would be lack of beach as the ones closest are private and we tried our luck at one and got asked to leave as we wasnt residents of that perticular hotel.
Will definatley go back asap!!!!

I have never writen a review before but after returning home yesterday from Aliathon I just feel I have to. We visited this hotel for the exact same 10 nights this time last year. We came home having enjoyed it so much we immediately re-booked. We had requested the same room for this year...and got it...along with a lovely card welcoming us back. My son aged 5 had loved the kids club last year, we found his confidence grew so much in his time with the fantastic Kids Club guys. This year it was all new faces but I would say it was even better (if that was possible). I must say a HUGE thank you to (magician) Josh, Rex, Miles, Brad, Chris, Georgie,Jovaltine, Amy and AmandaPanda who our son adored. These guys worked SO hard in making our holiday amazing. Staff at the hotel/bar staff, who remembered us from last year welcomed us back, genuinely pleased to see us, Velcho, George, Stavros and a lovely man who didnt have a name badge who we privately called Big Man, they worked so hard and always with a smile.
Last year the evening entertainment room was very dull and echoey. This year they had livened it up with big pictures and improved the acoustics, so much better. The evening entertainment was much more organised and for the earlier part of the evening for the kids it was just spot on. A bit repetative for the adults but just what the kids love, if they are happy...Im happy!!
The food was amazing, lots of choice and variety. You cant go wrong with finding something you will like, ranging from nuggets to shark, or spaghetti bolognaise to curry!! Every lunch/evening there is a kids corner where you can fined fish fingers, spag bol, pizza, pastas, veg, wraps etc. Or the kids can help themselves to the adults section. There are chefs cooking infront of you 3 times a day and they will cook things how you ask. I think even the fussiest of eaters would eat like kings!
The hotel, rooms, toilets, poolside, restaurants are kept immaculately clean, with cleaners around constantly working.
I cannot fault this hotel/holiday in anyway...if you want a fantastic holiday for your family this is the place to go!!! We have stayed in the Fishing Village end of the hotel which is definitely the nicest part, but the Agean is also pleasant, and the two are a minuets walk apart. Really missing this place already!
