Best to be visited during the cooler weather - if not, take water in with you. At first, you think you are just going to see a couple of caves but then the site opens up to the most amazing underground town. Well worth the visit.

Very interesting ! Must go back to explore some more after reading the booklet. Not many signs around to guide you around the tombs.

Glad we visited the tombs as I was fascinated by the structure and mystic feeling of such tombs, although completely clueless about the history so will have to read up on it. Worth passing through but would probably not go there specifically unless you had a tour guide. We took our 4 month old baby, at this time of year it was not too hot but agree with lack of shade. Clean toilets but no baby changing facilities like most public spaces! The tracks to go to the tombs are rather bumpy dusty tracks so not ideal for disabled or buggys. The tombs involve climbing down uneven steps

I visited the Tomb of the Kings toward the end of the day and the light in the late afternoon over the water and the tombs was quite lovely! I wish I would have paid the 4 Euros for a guidebook since I really didn't know what exactly I was looking at and since I was wandering around without a map, I missed a few of the tombs. (I did my homework online after I returned home.) The site is every easily accessible by bus, but street sign was blocked by construction so just ask the bus driver where to get off. Worth a visit and the 2.50 Euro entrance fee.

Ok, if you are passionate about archeology and that s all.Cheap fee, 2,50 euros by November 2013. You have to be strong to walk a lot, take good shoes and good provision of water. If you have mobility problems or babies in pushchairs you better reconsider your option, as there are not any facilities for disabled, no place to hide from the sun. There are toilets by the entrance, very clean and nice mantained. No coffee shop, but if you go out of the site you will find something in the vicinity. Bus stop right in front on the entrance.Lack of information about the history of the place, tombs and rocks everywhere...
