Staying at the Thalassa Boutique hotel was a great experience. It is situated in a great location and in our case we had a room on the top floor at the southern end of the building with a view of some wonderful sunsets. Stavros, the Cypriot with an English accent, was always attentive and anxious to please. The room was clean and bright and there was a good sized balcony. I have a couple of complaints though - there were no cushions on the wooden chairs on the balcony for our room and secondly there was a musty smell in the room emanating from the bathroom, probably from mildew. The location was close to Coral Bay village where there were a number of good value restaurants. Unfortunately I cannot recommend eating in the hotel restaurant. We did this one night and found it expensive and the food mediocre. We had a car but there was a good bus service from close to the hotel with good access to Paphos town and the habour at Kato Paphos. Geerally we were very pleased with our experience.

We booked this hotel for the last week of our honeymoon having toured around Europe and stayed in some fabulous hotels for the first two weeks. The hotel staff were all lovely and keen to make our stay enjoyable unfortunately the location was poor. The beach is dirty and crowded and the party boats are not conducive with a honeymoon! If you like good food local food you will be disappointed. We walked to the local restaurants described as 'the strip' there was nothing local about them! Plenty of neon and karaoke if you’re into that kind of thing and unfortunately there is nowhere else to eat except the hotel restaurant. The spa facilities were very nice but not really adequate to warrant the description of 'spa hotel' we were told that they could not fit us in for a massage for four days!

This is at its best a 3 star hotel. I thought of starting legal procedures against the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, for misleading people in thinking this is a luxury property. The word luxury should not be associated with this hotel. The accomodation is cheaply done and the service is three stars. The girls are rude, all untrained polish girls who know little about hotels or service. The prices of the food are the only thing that are five star and above...for no reason. I will definitely try to get some compensation from the association of small luxury hotels who seem to be selling nothing special or a lot of money.

We have just returned from the Thalassa hotel where we spent seven of the most relaxing days ever! The staff were just marvellous. They tended to our every need. The pool attendant, as described by others, was simply the best. He was always there to help you move your sunbed or to move your sun umbrella so that you could stay out of the sun with very little effort. So much more relaxing without children too. Drinks were served at regualr intervals and the restaurant staff were very well trained. Altogether an unforgettable experience for all the right reasons. Thank you Thalassa!

We hired a car from Lefkosia, and drove around Cyprus hoping
to get lost,we ended up in Paphos with nowhere to stay.
We ended up in front of this hotel by taking a wrong turn, but god
was it a fantastic find.
From the minute i walked in the front door, the lady at the desk was ever so helpfull.
Being our honeymoon she instantly upgraded us into a two bedroom suite. Normally priced at $600-$700 euros, we got
it for $200 euros. Absoulte bargain!!!! eventhough it was not
peak season being the end of May, we still found the hotel full of guests and coral beach pretty full with people.
Any body looking for somewhere to stay minus little screaming kids..highly recommend this hotel, we travelled for 6 weeks all over europe and stayed in over one dozen hotels and this by far is the nicest hotel we stayed in.
