“Best place ever.....”

We have just come back from our 3rd holiday at Kefalos Beach Holiday Village and we are already planning our return trip in October next year. We cannot fault this place. In all the times we have been there we cannot think of a single thing to complain about. The weather has always been really warm each time we have been there, with pure blue skies and temperatures of between 26 -28 degrees every day. Don't believe any negative comments you might read, they are just nit pickers! Kefalos is always spotlessly clean, the grounds and gardens are always meticulous, and all the staff are always so helpful and pleasant, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Rooms are well-equipped with hob, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and even a coffee percolator! The beds have excellent mattresses on them and are so comfy. The food is of a high standard and there is always a good selection of different meals each day. Every evening there was entertainment, from flamenco dancers, fire eaters, Cosack dancers and even karaoke! Kefalos Beach Village is in a dream location set right on the beach with a lush green lawn separating it from the sea and plenty of free sunbeds. It is an excellent venue for weddings, and we have witnessed several happy wedding parties taking place. There is a lovely paved level promenade that runs along the edge of the sea and leads all the way into Paphos, a very pleasant 20-30 minute walk away, and plenty of seats along the way to stop and admire the view. We cannot wait until next October! Thank you Kefalos, we love you! xx

Room Tip: All rooms are good, but obviously rooms with a sea view are the icing on the cake!

Took the decision for a last minute race to the sun in Cyprus in November and for the first time decided on Paphos. Kefalos Beach Village was on offer and although some of the reviews were not great we decided to give it a try. What a great decision and it is almost impossible to believe some of the negative reviews. We had a great, sea view, studio room and as we were half board did not need to take advantage of the kitchen area, which was fully equipped. The room was very clean and well serviced. Bedding was changed twice in the week and towels every other day. It is fair to say that some of fittings in the rooms could have been of a higher standard but overall they were very functional. Our location was great just 30m from the sea, with well kept grass areas in front of the room with plenty of sun beds both on the grass areas and on the beach.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful. One of the best parts of the holiday was the great meals served in the restaurant. At breakfast there was a great selection of cereals, fruit and traditional English favourites. At dinner there always soup, a selection of salads, main courses and a variety of cakes, fruit and ice cream. Just a pity that cheese and biscuits was not also on offer. For the main course there were a great variety of dishes from many different European regions, different each night and all expertly cooked to retain the individual flavours. The staff again were always friendly and very efficient.

So yes we would rate this hotel excellent in every way.

Room Tip: Sea view a must preferably away from the pool area and the accompanying music.

Where do I start, I have been fortunate to travel quite a lot having worked in the Travel Industry a long time. This hotel by fair exceeded our expectations and we are looking at booking this again. Upon arrival we were greeted by reception with a smile, a full explanation was given about the hotel, breakfast times, hotel details, room details, then asked to meet the driver just outside who would take our luggage and us by golf cart down to our apartment. He gave us a brief drive round complex and then stopped at our apartment. I had requested a high floor and quiet room aswell as booking a seaview room. I couldnt believe we had everything we wanted and more. About 50 metres from the beach, looking out to a beautiful view day and night. We had a one bed apt but based on BB. It was the right choice for us. Hotel is well equipped and pool area lovely. Spotless and very well maintained grounds, rooms cleaned daily along with bed linen and towels. Beach is a little shingly but i knew that before booking but there are safe areas for little ones to play. Paphos harbour/town is reached by a 30 min walk(with a little one) along a safe coastal path. Restaurants we recommed are Metaxas (5mins walk from hotel) and one in the harbour called Grazia, exceptional service by both restaurants. For a cheap night Mcdonalds and KFC were just up the road.Great in you get in late and just want a quick snack in room. Mcdonalds Greek Mac is amazing!!!! Same prices as here with most items. In Paphos there is a big supermarket called Papantoniou Supermarket which is great if you want to make a few sandwiches in the day. There is also a Lidl and Debenhams that we saw too. Shops are lovely down by harbour and restaurants are nice too. Fantastic views whereever we went. Would recommend for couples, families and any age as there is something for all. We had room 646 which I would highly recommend.Hairdryers are in the rooms and work really well, same 3 pin plugs as us. For any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Room Tip: 646 is the room to book, sea view, quiet room, first floor.

We spent a week here late October / early November looking for a sunshine break and were certainly not disappointed. The hotel is set in large grounds adjacent to the sea and comprises a number of blocks of apartments, we were in a block of four facing the sea. The weather was terrific, wall to wall sunshine and pleasantly cool in the evenings. The hotel was wonderful, we had chosen a room with a sea view and the extra was worthwhile as the view was great and the sunsets spectacular. The hotel grounds are huge, with plenty of sunbeds, both in the pool area and spread throughout the grounds, there is also an indoor pool and fitness facility, with evening entertainment in the poolside bar which was of a good standard for so late in the season. The hotel lobby is immense and relaxing and offers free wifi, the large size continues in the rooms, this was probably the largest room we have ever stayed in, it was spotless and well equipped with it's own kitchen complete with microwave, oven, hob, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. The beds were comfortable and the bedding and towels changed regularly, while the room was cleaned daily. The food is typical of Mediterranean hotels and there is a good variety which is well presented, there are also a number of bars a few minutes walk away, and a trip to the harbour area is a must, although some of the harbourside restaurants can be expensive but the setting makes it worthwhile.

I really cannot fault this hotel, the transfer to the airport was only around 20 minutes, always a bonus, but it would definitely be worth a longer transfer, taxis are plentiful and the bus service extremely good and reasonable. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Room Tip: If you have little ones, a room away from the pool area may be better as the entertainment goes on u...

The rooms were clean, spacious, properly equipped and well-maintained, the pool was excellent, and all the grounds were kept in an excellent condition, with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. Geoff the porter gave great tips on local shopping, although the half board food was plentiful (avoiding Asian night is advisable) and the staff take excellent care of the place.

Special mentions for Ramona (exercise instructor, dancer and very patient with my creaking knees) Valentinos and Robert at the bar, and a nod for Ricco who gave great performances as a fakir and fire-breather etc. Proper cheesy evening entertainments, bingo, quizzes etc, and lots of laughing/groan-inducing variety acts, but a bit for everyone.

I'd do this again. Not in school holidays, but I'd go back!

Room Tip: You will probably end up looking over another balcony, as the blocks are fairly close together. Don...

Can't fault this hotel. Went on a BandB basis and although the dining room was busy we never had to wait for a seat. There was plenty of choice to choose from but the coffee was not great but the hot chocolate made up for it. The studio room was huge, well equipped and spotless. I was glad that we were away from the pool area as at times it was a bit noisey with music. A easy walk into Paphos along a lovely path (30min), but plenty of restaurants with in a 5min walk- as well as the buses into the town. Being right on the beach was a definate plus so all in all we will be back

The resort is perfect for families or couples. Arrival late in the evening was smooth, with a very friendly, helpful and cheerful Receptionist, Sophie, who explained everything. We were taken to our apartment by Graham (I think) in a type of golf buggy - very welcome after long flight. The resort is run very well - breakfast is well-organised, the pool bar offers reasonable snacks and drinks, evening entertainment is available for those who are interested. The apartments have everything you could need, are cleaned daily with fresh towels and the shower was powerful. The pools are fantastic, but if a quieter life is for you, the beach is just beyond the pool area!! The staff are friendly, efficient and always available to help. A courtesy room is provided free of charge after checkout to change for the journey home - fab!!!

Room Tip: For those wanting a quiet relaxing stay, a room on the corner away from the pool would be best, as n...
