We booked into the Kefalos Beach Tourist Village on the recommendation of friends who were getting married in Cyprus. We weren't disappointed!
The service from check in to departure was excellent. We stayed half board and the variety and quality of the food was always very good. The restaurant staff are extremely good. The apartments are spotlessly clean and pretty spacious. There was plenty of room in our one bedroom apartment to fit a cot in addition to the double bed. The entertainment team were good fun and there was always an activity on if you felt inclined. This is definitely a excellent family resort.

Room Tip: There is entertainment in the pool bar most evenings until late so choose an apartment away from the...

All staff were friendly and welcoming. both my husband and i are in our late 60,s and we enjoyed every minute of our holiday at the Kefalos Beach, We only went for B&B as we like to go to other places to dine, But the Breakfast was very good, there was enough to choose from. and it was nice and hot. we had some food in pool bar and could not fault it,we stayed in a studio that was very clean beds changed twice weekly and clean towels every other day, or as needed. there was micro wave mini oven kettle toaster, and fridge in room, and beds were comfy. entertainment was also good, Ricco and Bobby the hotel antertainment team were very good and friendly with everyone. we loved to watch them with the childrens disco. it was very entertaining watching the children dancing, then we had a game of bingo also very entertaining.
to get about paphos there is a bus stop 5 minutes down the road and it is one euro werever you want to go, or 3 euros for a day rider, so you can hop from bus to bus,we did not find fat mamas resterant was value for the amount we paid for our meal, the food was good but found the portion was poor for what we paid, so would not advise a visit there. will go back to the kefalos again, But mabye in may june or october, april was a little on the chilli side. july Auguste very hot.

Room Tip: sea view is a must and worth every penny.

i got burnt to a crisp and looked like half salmon half reptile for half of the holiday but this was not the hotels fault. the hotel offers a great breakfast with a variety of english and cypriot amenities such as halloumi cheese and carob oil and sausages. the location is perfect as you are minutes from delightful restaurants but you are away from the strip which i imagine could be ferociously noisy especially in the summer. The staff are all fantastic and all go out of there way to help you from the second you arrive. we even received Schaeffer delivery to our apartment which was a truly fantastic touch. if you are looking to stay in the area I would definitely recommend this hotel and I think its is perfect for families and couples. The harbour is around a 30 minute walk and is worth checking out but there is plenty of restaurants to keep you occupied within a 5 minute radius of the hotel. The week was absolute joy and I cannot wait to return although maybe with better company next time but again this is no fault of the hotel so definately 5 stars

Room Tip: pool view has great views of the sea also so you get to see the delightful sunsets

The staff here work very hard to maintain high standards, especially the cleaners, the waiters and Bobo the pool attendant. We went half board but B&B would have saved us money since we went out in search of more traditional Cypriot food some evenings. There are also good self catering facilities at Kefalos Beach. Should you wish you can opt in to the half board for three or four nights a week on arrival and eat out for the remainder of the week. We found a lovely Cypriot place not far from the hotel called Dias Zeus on Tomb of the Kings Road which serves excellent food.
The Kefalos Beach is ideal for people with mobility problems - I hired a scooter from a local company and could go all the way to the harbour and back with it.
I would consider returning to Kefalos Beach if the outdoor pool was heated out of season, it was too cold for me in early April.

Lets start off by saying we shouldn't have been staying here. We had booked its sister Hotel, the Damon, after we had read all the reviews and checked on various sites for its position. We needed to be near to the town as my wife has walking difficulties and we avoid places with playgrounds and kids clubs! unfortunately after getting dropped off by our taxi we found a note on the door saying it was closed and were now at the Kefalos-fortunately my wife had done some research and she had a good idea where it was. After a 500 metre trek we got there tired and annoyed to be confronted by noisy kids running amok so our first impressions were not great! the staff on reception were very helpful however at no point were we offered an explanation of why the Damon was closed. personally we felt it could be that both hotels were not full so it made economical sense to only have 1open. we had specifically requested 2upstairs apts -interestingly enough my wife had emailed the hotel the week before and they said they would do everything they could to meet our needs-but at no point did they tell us the Damon was closed -very odd!!! we were told that Low Cost Holidays should have emailed us about the change (They Didn't ) to be fair to the staff they did everything they could to meet our requests and we moved to a first floor apt the following day. However -once settled in we did enjoy our stay and didnt see large groups of children after that -maybe they were congregated that night as they were on their last night. anyway -about the Keflos- Apartment large and airy ours was a one bedroomed nice shutters on the windows so kept noise and light out Balcony small and overlooked in may directions this where its lost a point. staff at reception very good but didn't offer us any compo for our trouble not even a free drink or breakfast! I know to them it must have felt we got a better deal but not to us as this wasn't what we booked! Drinks at Hotel were expensive with beer 3.50 euro a pint compared to 2.20 in lots of bars which is another reason for points deduction. We had chosen other hotel because we were 2 couples with no kids so were not happy about large groups of families but saying that if I was with grand kids they would have loved it as it is family orientated hotel . Hotel immaculately clean everywhere and layout on the beach brilliant although not good for youngsters to swim in. Food was really good at the on site taverna and we spent time at the harbour and in local bars/ restaurants. Overall we had a good holiday -bit too early in the season though as there were lots of places closed and although the weather was good most days it was very windy and quite cold at night. If you are a family with young children I am sure you will love it.
Paul and Anne.

Literally had the most amazing time on this holiday. When we got the hotel at about 2pm we checked in and then Jeff took us literally less than 30 seconds on his golf cart to our apartment so we didn't have to carry our bags. Our apartment was up a flight of stairs and Jeff (even though he's elderly) offered to carry out bags. When we got into our room we had swans made out of towels on each bed. Me and my family went half board and we were surprised to find a kitchenette in our room with a microwave, kettle, toaster, mini oven, cutlery and plates and all the other essentials for cooking. As an 18 year old I had my laptop with me and wanted to stay in contact with friends at home. To get free wifi we had to sit in the lobby which is very large and has comfortable sofas. I barely ended up using my laptop in the end because I made some fantastic friends out there who were similar to my age. The entertainment in the pool side bar is suitable for all ages. For the older people they have bingo in the early evening then after that they'll either have Karaoke (which I was made to do by the entertainer Bobby), Fire Breathing, Cypriate night there was even a Michael Jackson Tribute. The entertainers are lovely they'll always say hello and always encourage you in whatever you partake in. To make the most of cheap drinks make sure you are at the bars in time for happy hour! In the lobby bar it's between 8:30 and 9:30 and in the pool side bar its 10:30- 11:30. Those that like the clubbing scene, there is a night club literally about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. I didn't go but I heard from those that went it was a wicked night. Going back to the rooms the showers are amazing!! They are so powerful and the bathroom we had was large as well. The views from the swimming pool are phenomenal especially when the sun sets. If you like relaxing like myself then there are always sun loungers available. The poolside bar is open throughout the day so you can get some cocktails or whatever and they'll often play music poolside. They also do games for the kids in the pool. Activities such as football is on a few times a week. At the front of the hotel there is a ping pong table, pool table, which are very entertaining. You can take a walk a long the coast to get to Paphos Harbour which is worth seeing. The boat cruises from Paphos Harbour wasn't brilliant.... the best thing about it was the unlimited drinks you could get including alcohol, I may not have enjoyed it though because I felt sea sick haha.
I could not fault the hotel itself at all. It is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at, everything is so clean and the atmosphere is amazing, I felt safe walking around the hotel complex at night. The food in the restaurant is brilliant. You've got the choice of either a fry up, yoghurt and fruit or a continental breakfast, I had the fry up every day which definitely added a few pounds whilst away haha. There is a theme night every day for the evening meals some of which I didn't like, but thats just me being picky. There is so much variety in food.
I WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK!!!

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We booked half board and were very pleased with both the accommodation and the food. The rooms are clean and in good repair however they could do with some modernisation. The TV in the room was old and reception was poor. There was only one english channel which was National Geographic.

Food was plentiful and varied with different theme nights. Entertainment was provided each night although this started late 2130hrs. (Not late i hear you say, but it is after a full day out and about :) )

Excellent location and plenty of facilities, large well equipped gym, sauna (we never saw this working) and an indoor heated pool to compliment the outdoor pool.

Onsite entertainment team who were friendly and helpful

Although the hotel was busy it was still quiet around the apartments.

We will be revisiting on our next trip to Cyprus
