“Beautiful small central hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2012

stayed here for 2 nights Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, bed and continental breakfast
arrived late evening and greeted by owner first impressions of the hotel very good and clean
no lift so if you are elderly beware. Room quite spacious, clean, tv on wall, small bathroom good powerful shower, small balcony, beds comfy, as was winter, central heating kept chill off room, ac units on wall but think in summer you have to pay for it, large wardrobe.
Breakfast - continental as much juice and coffee as you want, along with selection of cold meats, salad and toast jam and marmalade etc
Overall very enjoyable 2 night break very central within 5 mins walk to harbour. would recommend and definately stay again

I stayed in this hotel as a stop over after landing in Paphos. The hotel was quiet as it was late in the season, its a short walk down the hill into the main stretch by the sea front/ marina. So close for shops, cash points, bars and restaurants.
I got a bargin price for the twin room, with a small corner balcony looking in land and a shower room.
There are no drink making facilities but you do get a television. There is a cafe/ bar downstairs which is modern in design and the staff are friendly.
My view was limited to offices but also some ruins by a church which would have been nice to explore.
For the more livelier strip with the fun bars its a short walk - 10 mins max :-)
The bus network is pretty good and there is a sub station where you can catch the bus to a central station to travel further afield.
We caught a bus to Nicosia for 5 euros (single) which was amazing, the last one ran about 2pm in the afternoon.
I would definately stay here again- the room was basic but all you needed really.

Room Tip: Seaviews available if you rquest them (not direct views though)

Unbelievable as it may sound but on this lovely island you can hardly find any locals in the catering sector. The official language which is greek does not help us greeks. Neither on restaurant menus not even on buses as if greek tourists are unwanted. What a disgrace for us greeks who face this kind of an insult. Ignorant if not impolite foreigners ( easterners, asians ,arabs etc) employed everywhere who are less than helpful .Shame. It' s like an englishman visiting Britain and must speak pakistani or indian or bulgarian or arabic.
The room was ok, breakfast very basic but acceptable, a very helpful hungarian girl at the reception (lack of greek language though) , but the towels look and feel disgraceful , overtired, overused and should have been thrown away. Don't touch them, they feel so bad. TV with just 3 channels out of 50 and could not be programmed. Location right in the centre is the best you can find.
In general , a very pleasant, clean, tidy city but keep away from the harbour where all kinds of foreigners 'callmen' annoying you, calling you into the restaurants, come in , we have this and that. Don't miss a drive up to the forested high mountains.

Room Tip: room 305 was nice and quiet. Bring your own towels !!!!

We stayed just one night in the hotel to attend a wedding. The staff were very efficient and friendly and the location of the hotel is ideal for anyone wanting to walk out around the town. The rooms although basic and quite small are very clean and the shower powerful and hot.The breakfast is a cold buffet style with plenty of toast and coffee. We paid £27.00 for bed and breakfast for 2 so this is really good value for money.( booked online through Monarch ) Would definately use again.

Room Tip: If you have any walking difficulties ask for the ground floor room as there is no lift.

For a two star hotel it is excellent value for money. The hotel was spotlessly clean the staff were all very helpful and friendly and the rooms were adequate and all had air conditioning.. Breakfast is a buffett breakfast with plenty on offer including coffee, tea, toast etc. We stayed there as a family booking three seperate rooms for two nights before heading of to a villa in Polis and were very pleased with our stay there. The Hotel is situated for us in a ideal location about 5 minutes walk from the main harbour and two minutes walk in the opposite direction to where there is plenty of night life. There are also many many resteraunts within a 5 minute walk in any direction. The bar of the Hotel is a open bar situated at the front of the hotel directly adjoining the road where passers by can also join for a drink. The barman during our visit was Mario (probably spelt it wrong) a very nice person who we found to be very helpful and friendly. Please remember when booking this hotel it is only a two star but from our experiance there a very good one and I would certainly stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night before moving on to our accommodation in Latchi. We paid £50 for each twin room through Bookings.com but this included air conditioning. Probably overpriced for the facilities but possibly would be cheaper if we were staying longer.

The marble entrance to the hotel is quite smart. The young man who checked us in was not Cypriot (very few in any establishment appeared to be, much like at home) but was really friendly and jovial. Over the course of the day we saw about 4 staff but there was no sign of any management whatsoever.

We had two very clean twin bedrooms. Personally I like twin rooms in a hot country but to make a double we have in the past pushed the two together. The air conditioning was good but as a previous reviewer stated the shower room was in need of attention. The shower door would not close properly and the cabinet was not a very generous size. It was fine for us as we are not large people but some may struggle to fit in. There wasn't much storage space if you were staying for any great length of time. We had a very small balcony with no view but it was far too hot to sit out on it, as the air-conditioning extractor unit was there. There is no swimming pool but I got the impression that most of the guests were using the hotel for exactly the same reason we were - a short stay before moving on elsewhere in Cyprus so for us it was the perfect location.

We had a few drinks in the evening and I liked the bar and seating area facing onto the street. A bit like a pavement cafe. I think the area would probably get quite noisy later in the early hours (not the hotel bar) but we didn't hear anything during the night.

The lounge area was set immediately behind the bar and the breakfast buffet was laid out here and could be eaten in the lounge or the bar area. Breakfast was quite basic. No cereal or eggs but plenty fruit juice, tea, coffee, cold meat, cheese, tomato, bread, jam etc.

It was just minutes to the seafront where there was a large choice of places to eat and a nice buzz about the place. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again even for two or three nights.

Room Tip: Make the effort to email the hotel a week before arrival and ask them to consider any requests you m...
