This is a very good local Italian restaurant, but not a destination restaurant. You could happily travel from Paphos to Vatouthkia for a Sunday lunch, but someone in the group would need to be a Tala local to make the trip for Casa Luna. Put that the other way round and it sounds much better. If you do have Tala connections, you would only drive down to Paphos for an Italian restaurant which was right on top of its game.
This is the best located restaurant in Tala, very central, on a corner on the main road through, good views, very easy parking. The greeting and overall level of pampering of regular customers from the husband and wife team who own and run the operation is as good as any on the island.
The menu is the right length. Not so short that a regular will get bored, but not so long that a cynic would doubt the freshness! The choice is also a little bit more imaginative than most Paphos alternatives. Both the Osso Bucco and the choice of risottos are well worth trying for example. The reason this gets 4 stars and not 5 is that the quality can vary. There are days when it is extremely good and days when it is only a bit better than average.
