Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds with great service!
Great value afternoon tea and bar food is good value. Breakfast was wonderful.
There is a great board walk along the coast to the harbour. Takes about 30 minutes though.

Room Tip: Get a sea view room if you can afford it.

We stayed here for 3 nights the weekend before Easter.
We stayed in a Deluxe double room with sea view.
This was on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool and had a partial view of the sea.
The rooms were smaller than expected for 5* but clean and pleasant.
They were stuffy and the AC was loud and poor quality.
We had to have the windows open to get any kind of sleep.
The rooms on this floor had tiled floors - nice on the feet but made for noisy nights - especially with neighbours with high heels clomping around.
The walls are thin and you can hear in the rooms above, below and adjacent.
Not what I'd expect from a luxury hotel - you get disturbed and you have to worry about disturbing others.
We had issues with a party who had several rooms on our floor and would make a lot of noise.
Security promptly dealt with it at 1am the first night. More of the same the next night and we were moved on the third to a quieter spot - carpetted floors but with an adjoining door - even noisier - but thankfully the people next door were quieter.
The views were great. The staff were friendly - the restaurants a little like a canteen - we ate out and for a small fee - worth it - we had breakfast delivered to our room and ate on the balcony.
The draught Keo was not looked after - tasted sour.
The location is good, though, but expensive for what it actually was.
The facilities and space in the room were similar to most resort places.
We won't be going back.

Stayed at the Elysium from 13th -20th April with family.
One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Beautifully decorated and lots of space and relaxing rooms.
Food very nice with different themed nights every night, staff very friendly and helpful but it is obvious they are told to try and sell as many drinks and snacks as possible.
Pools very cold but that due to time of year I visited.
The beach is not very nice. If you want a nice beach within a 15 min stroll turn right along the sea front and walk past the rear of the tomb of the kings and you will find a very nice beach at the bottom of the venus beach hotel.

I am a twelve year old girl who thinks that people might benefit from a review written by a child.

I stayed at the Elysium hotel in Paphos, Cyprus for 6 days in April and I thought it was FABULOUS.
Firstly the staff will go out of their way to do whatever you ask them to, for example we asked them to remove one of the beds in our room as it was not being used and within 10 minutes it had disappeared. They are also VERY friendly and not money minded, in one instance my younger brother, who was 5, dropped a whole plate of food on the floor and the waitress immediately told the chef to make another AND they didn't charge us for the wasted food. One member of the staff, named Michael who works by the pool and upstairs near the bar was extremely helpful in recommending what to eat or drink from the menu and even places outside the hotel to eat and drink at.
It was also my uncles birthday during our stay (he turned 40) and during that day he got a free beer from the bar, a chocolate/vanilla sponge at breakfast (along with some very loud singing from the chef), and a bottle of wine from a restaurant we went to. Also on Easter, the hotel gave EVERY SINGLE ROOM an Easter egg, and not a small one for one person, a GIANT one that could feed 5.
Lastly, if you are thinking about coming to Paphos with a family or young kids I would highly recommend it as Paphos is a very child friendly area in comparison to other parts of Cyprus as there are still a few bars and places to drink at but the place is very child friendly. We told this hotel that we were all family so they gave us interconnecting rooms which was brilliant as my brother loves being able to run back and forth between rooms.
So if you are thinking of coming to Paphos for whatever reason I would highly recommend that you stay at the Elysium hotel.

Just returned from Elysium and although we enjoyed many aspects of the hotel there were some things I did not think were as good as they could be and I am not usually critical. Firstly we had to change room as first room had 2 single beds and although we booked a sea view we could hardly see it as it was blocked by buildings. We arrived late at night and we were not greeted by any kind of refreshment at reception although we had been travelling for 8 hours and were thirsty and tired. There was a cold plate in our room but I have been in hotels where you can get a late supper in the restaurant. The pools are cold and hardly anyone went in them. The service was very good and the food in the restaurants delicious. The spa treatment I had was good but expensive and they tried very hard to sell me products . I have read other reviews which are mostly positive and I wish it had been more so for us.
