We visited this hotel in early October primarily for a relaxing time to take a break in the sunshine before the English winter sets in. We were not disappointed . The hotel has lovely grounds , restaurants and pools (although they were a bit cold!).

We stayed in one of the Garden Villas and these were very good with lots of space (we had number 1414 which was great for the sun and so try and get one on this side). This gives you access to the "royal pool" - adults only and only for the royal villas. In the morning the staff brought you a free smoothy and in the afternoon a plate of fruit for free which was very nice.

We also used the Spa on 2 occasions and found the treatments very good

We hardly ventured out of the Hotel and to be fair there is not a lot worth going out for in this area - but if you are looking for peace and quiet and some good food and to relax then I would recommend this

Room Tip: Chose one facing the sea for the best amount of sun and also the sun sets

The first time we visited Elysium a couple of years ago for celebrating our wedding anniversary. This September we decided to celebrate it again in Cyprus, but following advice of our friends went on vacation to Mediterranean Beach hotel in Limassol. And it was a pleasant surprise when Guest relationship officer Alexandra Mutagarova offered to switch hotels and go to Elysium, where we celebrated our anniversary.
We did enjoy our stay a lot. Having been to many hotels around the world, we believe that Elysium is the best one, and we celebrate all our future anniversaries here.

This is our 5th visit to the Hotel. We spent 12 nights there recently in our favourite Royal Villa Suite with Sea View.
Nothing has really changed over the years. The room was spotless, the service faultless and Mario ("Le Chef") is as entertaining as ever. We ate half board, breakfast was fabulous and if anything this year the evening buffet was better than previously. This remains a really top notch hotel and one of our undoubted favourites.
If I have a minor gripe, then perhaps someone from either management or client relations could have checked we were satisfied with things at some point during our stay, after all we are regular visitors and were there for 12 days; might perhaps have been a nice touch at some point?
Anyway, we will return again next year and no doubt will be satisfied customers once again.

Overall lovely hotel that we would recommend to friends and family. We didn't take the advice of the other reviewers to upgrade our room to a sea view as it would have cost an extra £250 which we thought was a lot. The view we had was of wasteland which was very ugly. We were expecting it to be gardens or over looking another hotel. Other wise we would have given it a 5 star rating. Get the upgrade it makes a difference.

The breakfast had a super selection and was replenished continuously so even if you arrive later in the serving there its lots of everything and no rush, the staff were excellent and couldn't help enough. The spa was lovely and the pool area and gardens were very well maintained.

The adjacent area of shops and restaurants were a bit run down and quiet but the bus network is so frequent that taking the bus from the end of the road is easy to many other areas of Paphos which we did most evenings.

We really relaxed at this hotel, could have stayed longer than a week. Well done Elysium for such excellent service and a highly maintained hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room with a sea view

We've stayed at many 5* hotels around the world, but the Elysium ranks as one of the best, if not the very best, that we have ever had the pleasure of staying in.

We stayed in the royal studio with plunge pool which was fantastic. The extra touches when by the royal pool - morning fruit drink, cold towels and fruit platter brought to you, were truly exceptional.

The hotel grounds are stunning, impeccably kept.
There are many good facilities at the hotel if just lazing by the pools gets to be too relaxing - free of charge fitness classes, tennis courts, and well equipped gym. We also had massages in the spa which were blissful.

The breakfast is wonderful, it had every item you could want and more. We ate at the hotel every night, which is rare for us, but the food was just too tempting. The food is slightly pricey but delicious and so in our mind, worth it.

The staff are a true testament to the hotel, every member we encountered was friendly and eager to help.

We genuinely cannot think of any negatives of the Elysium and we will be back at our earliest opportunity. Thank you to everyone at the Elysium for a perfect holiday.
