The hotel is huge and built like a beautiful small village, although it's facilities are modern. The staff were very friendly and helpfull with anything we asked for and even things we did not have to ask (like a picture of both of us done by the porter seeing we photographed each other...). The rooms are spacious and very clean, with a huge double bed and a nice sitting area.
Breakfest has a huge varitey of different choices, buffet style. It was GREAT!
We ate a (free of charge) dinner in one of the hotels' restaurantes and it was tasty and nice, although not gourmet food as we have expected.
We enjoyed the indoor pool (which was rather full..) and the wet sauna - both free of charge. The hotel has a very big outside pool and gardens and a private beach - which we only visited because of its' beauty, but we didn;t have the chance to enjoy because of the weather. Seems that in summer it's very beautifull.
By the way, we got married in Cyprus so it was a short honeymoon at the Elysiun. The hotel recieved a prior notice so we got an upgrade to a sea view room, Champange, fruits and a bottle of water and the free of charge dinner. So... if you have a special occasion we would advice you to let the hotel know in advance, it's worth it.
All and all, we would reccommend the Elysium to all our friends and would be happy to stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view suite - it's wonderfull!

The Elysium is a relly good hotel. The situation is excellent (very close to the Tombs of the Kings ad to the tourist area by the harbour), the rooms are spacious and well designed, the beds (a particular issue for me) are enormous and the Staff are really friendly. The breakfast (incl in the room rate for us) is really good too.

The only criticism I have is related to internet access. I travel the world and am used to paying for in-room internet access (although I'm never very happy about it) but never before have I been required to pay for in-room access (Euro10 per day since you ask) FOR EACH DEVICE! Internet access in the lobby is free I know but that makes it all the more irritating to be charged for room access for two or more devices - in our case we brought two laptops, a work and personal iPhone and an iPad, so all but one had to be accessed in the lobby. Grrr.

I mentioned my irritation to the desk clerk on departure and that I would be including the matter in my review - it seems I'm not alone in finding this to be an example of the worst type of hotel gouging. Shame on you, Elysium, when the Irish Bar at the end of the road, O'Neills, offers free WiFi. The drinks are much cheaper there, too.

Room Tip: We had a side sea view deluxe double room - I wouldn't be tempted to pay for a full sea view roo...

Superbly appointed hotel set alongside the beach and next door to the Tomb of the Kings. The layout of the hotel, gardens and pool have been attractively designed with the hotel offering a number of different rooms, suites and private villas. There is a real feeling of space and privacy in the overall setting. The decor in the main hotel is elegant with attractive furnishings and paintings and luxurious, comfortable seating areas.
The staff were the best that I have met this side of Asia and all were very welcoming, attentive and always a cheerful smile. Due to us going in February, the outside restaurants were closed, however, there was a variety of 3 interior restaurants with one specialising in a different themed cuisine each evening. The Elysium provided possibly one of the best breakfast buffet bars that I have ever seen ! We went to the Elysium specifically to have a week of spa treatments and we were not disappointed. The Spa staff were very professional and the level of treatments very good. The noise of some of the Russian guests was disappointing as they chose not to respect the quiet environment of the Spa, however, neither the staff nor the other guests could get them to be quiet! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a break early in the season and I would certainly be very happy to make a repeat visit. (My rating of excellent is based on staying at the hotel during February when the occupancy was approx 230 guests -hotel accommodates up to 650 in High Season).

Room Tip: Definitely worth having a room with sea view or at least one overlooking the pool and gardens. Woul...

This has to be the best hotel I have stayed in Cyprus. The warm welcome you receive when you arrive is great, plus the reception staff are more than helpful.
The rooms are furnished well and are very comfortable, light and airy. The spa and pool are clean and maintained to a very high standard, the indoor pool was the pool of choice, it was a bit too cold for the outdoor facilities, although they look amazing.
The breakfast had a vast choice, from homemade omelettes to fresh fruit, you could eat for a week! Again the waiting staff are very attentive.
As a previous reviewer has mentioned the hotel is in a quiet area, if you want to walk along the seafront to Paphos harbour, you can with ease, taking around 20 mins, a good jogging route if you felt inclined! A bus service does run from the top of the road, running avert 10 minutes. There is a fabulous Italian restaurant just a 5 minute walk away, if you don't want to eat in the hotel.
All in all an amazing hotel and I would return again, no arm twisting required :)

Room Tip: Not a ground floor room near the door to the reception area.

Unfortunately, weren't able to stay on their "Special Valentine's Day" so booked for the following
night with my wife. We both needed a short break after having been concentrating on our
business quite intensively for the last few months. Although we were only there for one night and day, it was so relaxing. The staff, and by that I mean literally all of them, are so attentive, and
did all they could to ensure the stay was superb.
Although it may seem a little costly, you get what you pay for - excellence in every way.
Our only regret? Wishing we could have had the time to stay longer! We will be back.

Room Tip: We had an inland facing room, but it was still excellent, and had really good views, so if you are...

This hotel is exactly what it says on the tin.

I'm quite hard to please, if I book 5* then i expect 5* this hotel is very much a 5*.

Everything was just perfect good food, great staff and lovely rooms. Pool was a bit cold so had to use the indoor one. However it was December.

A great time was had by all

Room Tip: don't get a connecting room as noise can be heard through the doors

We had been looking forward to our 4 nights stay at The Elysium for some time and it didn't let us down. In the run up to our trip, Jan 26th to 30th, I had contacted the hotel on a few occasions and they always gave me a prompt, detailed and courteous reply. From the moment you arrive you are transported into sumptuous surroundings with waiting, smiling staff on hand. It's just as it looks on the fantastic website. Five stars it certainly is. We were surprised at how quiet it was with very few guests in January and felt privileged to be staying here. It was lovely just to wander around the hotel complex, indoors and outdoors. Anyone thinking of going to Cyprus - this is the place to stay if you have the budget. It's heaven on earth. If not, take a trip out of season where the room rates are a third of what they are in the summer. You won't be disappointed. A massive thanks to Julia and the guys at Occidental & Atrium and the guys in Bacco - the food was great. Thanks for the memories Elysium. Stuart & Susan, Stonehaven, UK ps.great atmosphere in the Atrium bar on a weekend with live music and looks to be a place where the well-heeled locals head to for their entertainment. Great fun.xx

Room Tip: Cyprian Maisonettes that don't face the Royal Garden are excellent value. We stayed in 1025 - sp...
