We were at the Elysium for the last week of September with our young family - a four year old and a 12 week old. Major plusses for families:
kids club - our little girl enjoyed going for about an hour a day, painting, making things, running around a very pleasant room with a couple of other children. Great when its too hot to go outside. I think they'd be bored if they had to go for much more than an hour though.

children's pool - there's a lovely little pool perfect for those who can't quite swim yet. Our little girl could stand up in it and pootle around without armbands on. Beds around it and umbrellas and the hangout for parents with very young chidren and babies - perfect spot to get chatting to other mums and no-one minds if there's the odd melt down. Nice and quiet for those first baby swims too, and both ends of the pool are shaded. Good pool snacks served. Milkshakes and sandwiches went down very well.

slide and splash pool - there's a good water slide which lands in a separate splash pool. An absolute hit with our little girl.

The beach is really child friendly with wonderful cabanas where you can relax in total shade. Bags these early at busy times, and check yours has four walls and a ceiling if you want total shade!

In the evenings there are brilliant buffet meals but no separate section for the children so unless they are good at trying some wonderful new foods they will be a bit stuck. Our little girl enjoyed bread, cheese and olives, smoked salmon one night, calamari one night and when we were a bit stuck a member of staff approached us and offered to make a spag bol especially, which was generous and brilliant. Puddings always a hit. The breakfast buffets are fantastic for everyone.

The only downside for children is that there is absolutely no evening entertainment for them. I would have loved to go to a mini disco or magic show before dinner and have a drink while watching the children enjoy themselves. The only magic show that week was in the main bar at half past nine. Not a winner for small children who have been exhausting themselves in the pool all day.

The staff are all wonderful with the children, they just seem to genuinely really like them, a wonderful Cypriot character trait. Enjoy your holiday - we will definately be going back.

Love Hotel abit away from the harbour area but all day bus for 3 euros or there and back just two. its the small touches that count the welcome drink the bellboys the fuss free check in and the so friendly staff that made it. All pools are nice both indoor and outdoor beach clean raked daily - lovely beds to sleep on men on hand to sort umbrellas out - can swab beach towels daily - lots of showers and changing areas. Food great but not the place for a diet!
service outstanding - no time for sites ans spa so will need to check them out next year

Room Tip: we chose an inland view to save money but it was pleasant enough - if you wont to see the sunset fro...

Was recommended by a friend to go to this hotel after she visited it last year. So we booked as a group of four..... myself, my husband, our daughter & her fiance.
Well WOW! What a fantastic week we had. The hotel know how to look after their guests. The pace of life in the hotel was peaceful yet very efficient. The staff were very attentive but never in your face. The food was to die for with a different themed night for food & we always found something to eat. The rooms were spotless & well looked after during the stay. The whole complex was wonderful, with a choice of pools or to go into the sea.
If you can afford it one must go...it's a fantastic 5* hotel that we will be going back again as you are really looked after throughout your stay however short or long.
Great place to get married in too as we saw a few weddings whilst we stayed for our weeks holiday & the weather was 29 degrees the whole week we were there!

Room Tip: Ask for a room over looking the pools....you will see some fantastic sunsets!!

The location is superb and the whole holiday was idyllic. We have never experienced such amazing service - nothing was too much trouble and all done without fuss is a very friendly way. There was not one member of staff with whom one could find fault, the whole ethos is to please and the staff have obviously been trained to greet you even if they just pass you in a corridor. We had a standard inland view room, which was perfect as the balcony was shady if we needed to escape from the heat of the day for an hour. Everything is immaculately clean, bright and modern. We were on half board, which entitled us to the Epicurean buffet restaurant for dinner, where the standard and choice of food was excellent. We also tried the Bacco and Medditerraneo restaurants, which were absolutely lovely. Each day started in the Lemonia restaurant with the most extensive buffet breakfast ever - with added entertainment by the energetic Marios, the egg chef!! The most enduring memory to take us through an English winter will always be the view from the sunset terrace, where we enjoyed our nightly apéritif. We would love to go back some time soon!!

Room Tip: We were perfectly happy with our inland facing room (4155), which was a good size and had everythin...

In our personal opinion it is the only real 5 star hotel in cyprus among with other 2. We wish the price of rooms to were somewhat more attractive to make us stay longer than 4 days! Overall it is a spacious luxurious hotel with nice swimming pools and restaurants!

September 2012
Just returned home after second visit to the Elysium Paphos. We were at the hotel last September
2011 we have travelled on both occasions with the William Wilson Holiday Club.
We have had a fantastic holiday on both occasions from the moment we arrived until the moment we sadly had to leave.
Hotel facilities faultless/fantastic.
STAFF AMAZING
You should all be proud of the service that you deliver throughout your hotel.
Food fantastic dinning experience through out the hotel wherever we ate food/service second to none a special thank you to the young woman on the reservation table for managing to get myself and my husband into the Italian for our last night !
My husband and I are celebrating our silver wedding anniversary and my husbands 50th next April and are already planning to celebrate back at the Elysium.
Thank you all again for the best holidays and I can't wait until I come back in April 2013.

Room Tip: All rooms excellent however we have had a sea view on both visits

Just back from a week at the Elysium, I doubt if there is a better hotel in Cyprus. Had a pool/sea view room which was great. Staff are amazing, everything is clean, pool area/grass area fantastic for sunbathing and never had a problem with sun beds. Very romantic and would definitely recommend this hotel. Special mention for Fundas who rushed to meet us from the taxi to collect 0our backs and amazingly remembered our names for the rest of the holiday. His welcome comment was welcome to Paradise which it certainly was.
