“Small monastery, famous for its wines”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2013

Chrissorogiatissa Monastery is situated close to Pano Panayia (the Birthplace of Makarios III), on the road to Paphos and is a must stop for those who want to see the Troodos Mountains. The monastery is relatively small, nothing really impressive, the only thing to mention are the wines that are sold there.

It was up in the mountains as part of a larger tour and stopped here last, everyone bought wine and the views were stunning.

“Small and serene”

Set beautifully in the mountains near Statos this small but peaceful monastery is a beautiful place to visit especially if you are on a day trip. Remember to dress appropriately it is a working monastery.

“worth a visit on a bus tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

This was worth a stop off on a coach tour but I would not go out of your way to visit, a pretty place & wine to buy but not too much there.
