“Monastery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2012

I really like this monastery. It is a very relaxing place. not over done. It feels old and not too touristy. very good wine. Try the Ayios Elias.

“Quiet small monastery”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

Saw quite a few monasteries in Cyprus and this is a small one. But quiet and peaceful so we lit a candle. There is a great 10km nature walk from here. Take water!

“Small Monastery with a view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2012

I heard the wine is great, but was during dinner time, so no chance to buy one. The place is just next to the road, on a cliff with a nice view. The monastery itself is nicely managed, has a nice patio and a few spots where one can relax. A very good stay for a coffee when travelling around Paphos.

“Excessive religious wealth”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2012

Beautiful buildings and art work. Whatever your religious beliefs, the display of excessive gold was a bit nauseating to my taste. Whatever happened to "give to the poor" ?
It is worth the visit to see the mozaics on the walls on their own though

“View is fanatstic”

Subtle, quiet, beautiful and such a good place to just sit and stare at the view. Worth a visit. Walk around and just see it all.
