The ambience of the hotel was apparent as soon as you arrive at the entrance. Friendly courteous staff welcome you and the checking in process was very profesional. We have nothing but praise for all the staff of the Annabelle. Everything lived up to expectation from the hotel to the weather. The only problem was that we only booked one week. Will most certainly return again as soon as possible.

From the moment you arrive outside the hotel through to departure nothing is too much trouble for the staff of the Annabelle. Beautiful clean hotel, fantastic views and great food. The gym is small but adequate if you just want a quick workout and has no windows, the Almyra (Annabelles sister Hotel next door) has a gym which has wonderful views a spa and indoor pool. The facilities can be enjoyed at either hotel by residents. The drinks in the hotel were rather expensive. The Cypriot wines both red and white are palatable and it may be worth considering ordering a bottle rather than glass if you want wine with your meal it works out slightly cheaper and they will put any remaining wine away for the following meal if you haven't finished it all. We have just enjoyed a weeks holiday and although out of season (almost everywhere closed) found plenty to do.

We can only echo the very positive reviews of others. We had a wonderful holiday staying in a great hotel, in a fabulous room, with delicious food and lovely weather. The polite and friendly staff make the dining room experience particularly enjoyable. We loved our stay at the Annabelle!
We can also recommend the Almyra for a different dining experience; gentile and waiter service, again with a smile. The spa etc facilities are excellent too, although the indoor pool is small and very choppy ( 4 people doing gentle breast stroke is enough!), but still a delight to use.
A quality hotel we can thoroughly recommend.

We stayed at the Annabelle 19-24 January 2013 in a garden terrace room with a sea view. The room was neat and very clean, the terrace was a bonus as we were so lucky to have five days of sunshine.
The location is right on the beach front with a couple of minutes walk into the main harbour, shops and historic site.. The view from the hotel room was lovely.
The staff at the hotel were all so nice, helpfull, very courteous and polite which was good.
The food was really good - with so much choice. The chef was around most of the time checking on things.
As you would expect at this time of year, outside of school holidays most guests were of retirement age (I was celebrating my 51 birthday) this added to the holiday as they were all so relaxed and there weren't any stressed out families staying at that time!
To previous comments: Yes the drinks were more than you pay to drink at home - but not as much as UK restaurant prices. Yes this isn't like a 5 star UK hotel - but it didn't cost as much as they charge either.
I have recommended this hotel and the sister hotel "Almyra" to friends and family and as we usually take a winter break hoping to get some sunshine I think we will be back in a year or two.
We didn't use the indoor pool or sauna or the restaurant at the Almyra - if we had been staying longer we probably would have as they looked very good too.

What a great hotel, we could find no fault at all in every department. The staff were friendly and efficient in every
department, the choices of food were varied and of the highest standards. Rooms were spacious, entertainment of a high standard and fellow guests friendly and sociable.

Definetly worth it''s 5 star rating

Our stay was betweet 9th - 30th January 2013. Review typed 5th February 2013.

The Annabelle hotel has many things going for it.

First the STAFF. Without exception every person we came into contact with were delightfully friendly and helpful that as far as my husband and I are concerned they make the hotel a pleasure to stay at. I could name several people but I'm afraid to leave someone out, needless to say they were wonderful and are the hotel's number one assett. Between them they create a warm atmosphere and make you feel you are their favourite guest.

Next the FOOD in the restaurant. Plenty of it (!) and a huge choice at every meal to satisfy the most difficult and particular guest. The chefs and waiting staff, including the hostesses, do everything they possibly can to ensure guests are happy and satisfied. There is a relaxed atmosphere within the restaurant and meals can take as long or as short as the guest wants.

The LOCATION of The Annabelle is perfect, set immediately next to the sea and enables guests to enjoy a leisurely walk in either direction along a promenade which is the perfect start to the day. Amble into town only a few hundred meters away stopping to sit on a bench and take in the morning sun whilst watching the sea. At the end of the harbour is the fort near which are plenty of coffee shops and places of interest. There's a bus stop right outside the front of the hotel which costs next to nothing if you don't want to hire a car to explore the further reaches of the vast city. There's plenty to see.

ROOMS are large and beds too are very big and comfortable. They are cleaned and tidied every day, used towels changed and anything which is required by the guests they ensure they attend to. The hotel FOYER is large, bright and comfortable, with a bar and piano, well used by guests during the day to read, play cards or just relax, the same applies to the evening. A pleasant and friendly atmosphere prevails and is an enjoyable place to socialise with other guests if you want.

Only one very small point which does not detract from the above is that a slight updating of some of the decor will be required in the future but this does not spoil the overal ambience and pleasure of having a wonderful holiday.

Husband enjoys driving on the left and for those contemplating HIRING A CAR .... DO! and get out and about up into the hills and see the beautiful island of Cyprus and its wonderful people. The roads are very good, lots of signs and everywhere you go there are friendly tavernas for refreshment etc.

All being well we will return next year.

Room Tip: I wanted a room facing the setting sun, towards the harbour, however, I'd forgotten to take into...
