We went to the Colosseum on the last night of our holiday and wished we'd gone there before. We opted for the set menu at €12.99 for a 3 course meal with a glass of wine. There were about 5 choices for each course. The food was delicious and hot dishes were piping hot. The starters we chose of chicken liver pate and lasagne were lovely. The highlight of my meal was the main course of calves liver. It was cooked to perfection - soft and pink on the inside served with a delicious sauce and veg. My husband had the herb crusted pork which he thoroughly enjoyed. We both chose panna cotta with berries for dessert, which was very light and with just the right wobble!! The service was good with a reasonable time between courses. The wine was OK. One of the better house red wines we had during our 2 week stay. We ordered a bottle, on top of the glasses served as part of the meal, the price was a fairly reasonable €15. We then had liqueurs at the end of our meal, which were very large measures. At the end of the evening, even though we were the last 2 customers left in the restaurant, we didn't feel under pressure to finish up and leave. If we ever go back to Paphos we will definitely head straight back to this restaurant. All in all probably
one of the best, if not the best meal we had in our 2 weeks in Paphos, and great value for money.
