“Rip off”

Adonis Baths Water Falls

This was one of the scariest road journey's ever! The road is narrow, uneven rubble with a sheer cliff drop, I was near to tears. You want to experience something wow after enduring that but what a rip off, they know you will be forced into paying the price as you need to recover from the road trip. The place is small so becomes overcrowded with nowhere to sit or relax if a dozen or more tourist there. Nice pool of water but that's it and I don't believe it's natural so don't be fooled - take advice and don't go!

The road isnt as bad as others have made out, it adds to the adventure getting there!! But wasnt a problem in a hire car if you are careful :) Was pretty quiet when we were there, the only ones at some points. Good fun jumping off the waterfalls into the deep pools and got some great photos! The water is very cold, but refreshing and much needed in the heat!! Make sure you either bring food or stop before you get there as there are no food facilities there at all - we stopped Kamares resort (which you have to drive through to get there from one direction) clubhouse and had an amazing lunch there looking out over Pathos. Spent an afternoon here and would recommend it to anyone - thought the price was ok for an afternoon out! :)

Surprised that other people were disappointed. Yes road there is a bit hairy, wouldn't want to do it every day. Perhaps we were lucky only a few of us there. Take your swimsuit, be prepared for icy cold water, then jump in if you dare, or else just walk in at the bottom. It is approx. 30 foot to jump from, haven't tried it, but some were and really enjoying it. My grandson loved it.

The road journey is an adventure in itself - make sure you have good insurance on your hire car! Once you have got over the bumpy (and hair-raising) trip, you will arrive at a slightly quirky building including an old restored Cypriot house, a cafe, a small shop and an entrance booth. They then assume that having spent a significant amount of time and nervous energy getting here, you will gladly pay them 9 Euros each to enter. If you can afford this, and decide not to turn back at their audacity, the actual Water Falls are wonderful. The pools are cool and picturesque and the braver fools can climb trees or ropes and jump in the pools from increasingly dare-devil heights. There are trails for those not already worn out by the drive and some lovely scenery.
Overall, if you have an hour to spend on the trip up from Paphos (or slightly less from Coral Bay) and a couple of hours where you want to splash around in a mountain pool photographing waterfalls then this is a worthwhile half-day out. But I really am not sure we got 9 Euros worth of enjoyment.

Very dissatisfied. Paid 9 euros to enter to a dirty lake with a few statues. Exploitation of the owner of the area that you need to pass to see Adonis baths.
