“Long journey”
Reviewed January 29, 2012

Picked up a flyer about this and then saw a sign post to the baths. Signs to the location were very vague and ended up on a completely unmade road for several miles which got narrower and narrower. Almost gave up but eventually got there as it was getting dark. They then wanted €9 each to get in, just to have a look, so decided to set off on the journey back!

Out of season it's going to be too cold, and when it's warm enough, no idea how people get there once the road gets busy!

“couldn't get there as road too rough and narrow, need a 4x4”
Reviewed January 21, 2012

Drove up to find it but couldn't get there as we had a hire car and didn't want to damage the car.The road sign said suitable for all cars but when we saw the single track rough road for 3 kms we decided not to risk it as our insurance didn't cover us for off road driving

“Beautiful...but a bit chilly!!!”
Reviewed January 21, 2012

We went to the Water Falls while on Georges Fun Bus and it is such a beautiful area to go visit but it aint for the faint-hearted.
Firstly the Baths is up in the mountains so there is quite a few twisty turny roads to reach the Baths and lots of roads with big drops on one side. But if you are driving about the mountains anyway this is a good place to visit.
If you are with small children, people with difficulty walking or the elderly than i would warn you that the walk down to the baths from the enterance can be a bit slippy and can be quite step in places. So might not be a place to visit if they have difficulty getting down to the baths.
Once down it is a beautiful area that has a large area to swim in and a beautiful waterfall. When i was there in october 2011 i was the only one brave enough to go for a dip and it was quite cold...ok it was blinking freezing!! But once you get used to it is a very refreshing swim (esp in the summer months!) There is a few pebbles about while in the baths but it isnt very deep near to the shore but does get quite deep further out.

“This place is a must. Just for the atmosphere”
Reviewed January 7, 2012

The gardens around this area are now very good and a lot off work has gone into it. But,you doneed to be reasonably fit for the walk to the bath. It is easier on the way back.. a piece of Greek mythology.
