Description: It should be noticed that the establishment is a very traditional one, in more ways than appearance. It is an old building of stone and wood. The two dining rooms are decorated with antiques and items from the old household of rural Cyprus. The garden is very pleasant with flowers and herbs growing all around it. The food is traditional and seasonal. We cook everything that can grow in Cyprus, basing a lot of our food on traditional dishes, and wild vegetables, picked by ourselves. We serve Meze, which traditionally means delicate taste, and in Cyprus it is used to mean a variety of delicacies. A typical meze at the 7 St Georges will start with salad and between 6-10 appetizers, this will differ every night but may include, homegrown olives, cured meats, dips and pickles. The meze will continue with a variety of traditional and some times contemporary meat and vegetable dishes. We use only the best meats to provide mouthwatering roasts and succulent casseroles, you can expect to enjoy our now well known Kleftico (lamb or beef on the bone cooked in sealed ovens, succulent) and a vegetarians delight of vegetable dishes, depending on the season they will include, rice stuffed marrow flowers, bumyas (ochra) cooked in a tomato and mint sauce, black eyed beans with home grown marrow, tomato fritters, cheese and vegetable pies. The meze will be about 20 dishes, depending how much one can eat, expect to be surprised and delighted at the array of dishes that will be brought to you over the meal (expect to be eating for about 2 hours), at the 7 St Georges we serve quality food in an informal and comfortable setting, take your time and enjoy the experience.

We visited 7 St George's on the recommendation of a work colleague who's brother lives in the area. We are seasoned Cyprus visitors ourselves (two years spent living there with the RAF, now back on holiday) but I can say it was possibly the best meal we have had in Cyprus if not ever! We made it through the wonderful Meze and had a selection of brilliant puddings too! The wine flowed maybe a little too well but no hangover as promised. Amazing food, service, wine a total winner!

Tried this on friends recommendation , not disappointed, very traditional.
No menu just massive Meze all fresh local food, very nicely presented, small portions but plenty of them, be sure to pace yourself. Dips and oils made on site and delicious.
Try the home made date cake, a bigger portion would have been appreciated, it was superb.
A little pricey but worth visit

This restaurant was recommended to us by a Cypriot colleague before we went in holiday to Cyprus. If you're looking for traditional food with a cultural atmosphere this is perfect! No menu, they just bring out dishes of fresh organic produce they have that day until you tell them to stop! Chilled organic red wine is a must! It's gorgeous and as its homemade and organic there's no hangover!!

We were advised to go to visit this restaurant by both Lonely Planet and the owner of the Villa we were staying in. Dining here was a wonderful experience - one of the highlights of our holiday. The setting is relaxed and intimate with great service. As the menu is exclusively Meze, the only decision to make is Red or White wine (we had 1.5L of the Red which was delicious), and then you are in the extremely capable hands of the hosts. We were served a wonderful selection of different courses, every one individually delicious, but for us the pork was the highlight. Do not leave Paphos without visiting this place!
