“Very small, visit if youare really into museums”
Reviewed August 5, 2011

It a really small museum, which was founded by a few members of the society of Cypriot Studies in 1937. It was nice to see how people used to live in Cyprus, but we finished the whole museum within 20 minutes. We paid for this 20 minutes 2€, which was quite a lot, taking into consideration that there was no air condition and no toilets either. But it was cosy and with atmosphere, maybe they will improve their facilities in the future, because they opened the museum some time ago.

Thank you for your review. Iwould like to inform you that this Museum was created by the effort of volunteers in 1936 and still works from their efforts. We put a small ticket of 2 euro from adults ans 1 euro for children, students, and special discounts for groups, in order to cover our expensives that are many. But I trully believe that this price is not expensive to have the chance to see a bulding of 15th century, that had been an old monastery and also the old archbishopic palace.

Many tourists stay inside the museum for over an hou, asking questions about the exhibitions and giving us also great info about their country.

This period we have 2 extra exhibitions on the first floor about Gold crowns of Macedonia (Thesaloniki) and also 800 hundred years relations between Cyprus Germany,

Concerning the toilets. We have toilets next to our building and of course not inside the ancient monastery.

thank you for your time
