“Amazing Traditional Village”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

Visiting Omodos is not only a trip to discover traditional lifestyle in Cypriot villages, its more like a human cure. Being there can eliminate stress, and fill your souls with joy and happiness.
Wine production is a cultural thing in this village. I advice all of you readers to come and visit.

“Quaint old village”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

Omodos village is a quaint old village where time stood still. It has its own personality - cobblestone walks, taverns serving local food, old ladies making lace outside their homes, home industry of wine-making and not forgetting the Monastery of the Holy Cross in the centre of the village. The monastery is a must visit and must try the food in the village. We had a meze lunch in a tavern which was course after course and delicious!

Lots of souvenir shops selling their local intricate lace.

“I am a Cypriot and there much more to see...”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

Well, when I saw all these reviews I wondered why... There are so much better villages and hot spots to visit. In any case, buy local wine (excellent price and very good quality), the village is known for this. Moreover, friendly people all around.

“picturesque cypriot village”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

liked the monastery and general village which is very pretty .here is plenty of free parking. Avoid the big open plan restaurant near the free parking place as you walk into the village, it's a bit overpriced and the owner never smiles. Good bakery 'Georges' sells lovely cypriot sweets.

“Quiet and beautiful village”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

From Kakopetria we went to Omodos which is a village with marvelous landscapes. We ate here at one of the tavern, a very tasty Cyprus food and felt good there, talking and laughing with people from our group. After that we visited few wine houses where they make and sell "zivania" (a brandy) and the wine named Komandaria, a very good wine. We visited also the church from the village and wandering on the small and scenic streets of the village. Finally we went back to Limassol.
