just returned from spending 11 days at The Atlantica Bay, food and room excellent. both flights smooth and trouble free. I agree with previous comment the whole salmon was a real treat.
Was half board and found this to be adequate as breakfast and evening meal was plentiful with lots of variety. had drinks with our evening meal + during the day when around pool or beach.
Staff were helpful and polite (sadly unlike some of the English guests who we heard being rude and impatient with the waiters). we went on two trips and particularly enjoyed the Aqua catamaran .used the local bus to visit Limassol and enjoyed pleasant walks along the seafront and beach, the area was always clean and well lit (including the underpass to beach) entertainment was fine we listened from our balcony. air conditioning brilliant throughout the building really refreshing after a day on the beach. rooms cleaned daily with fresh linen as required. pool area sometimes busy with people reserving sun beds but we always found one ! some children used sun bed area on beach at weekends ? staff members which was ok as rest of week quiet. Finally thank you to all the staff and Thomson rep Amy who was always bright and cheerful. the checkout staff looked after us until we were safely loaded on our coach.

Room Tip: sea view great, not sure would have liked hot tub as could be viewed from people above.

Me & my wife have just returned from a fantastic 10 nights All Inc to the Atlantica Bay Hotel and i have to say it is one of the BEST hotels we have stayed in!.
Check-in was faultless with cold juice & cold flannels inc a porter service as soon as we got there,
The room was perfect well decorated with good quality furniture and a massive queen size bed which was too comfortable!!!,a small fridge & everything was clean!.paired with a awesome sea view inc free Sunset every night!. The hotel itself is spotless & very grand in appearance, then we move onto food a HUGE choice of VERY good quality food served by very well presented & polite staff. All the meals were of a very high quality and everything tasted perfect!
Even at breakfast there is a huge choice with freshly prepared omelettes & a range of cooked foods.
We had our complementary free Ala carte meal which was separate to the main restaurant & was again of a high standard & very well presented.
There is also a option to eat at the Hotels beach restaurant a few nights a week which is well worth it although you have to book in advance but is included in the all inc package, but serves you with a awesome range of BBQ grilled meats & salads in a lovely seafront atmosphere.
The pool Areas are very well kept & clean with waiter service all day (so no need to get off the sunbed!!) . there are two large pools outside one being a pool that can be turned into a indoor sheltered pool if the weather turns.
Our room was cleaned EVERY day and all the areas of the hotel are kept spotless by the staff.
Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff and we found all of them to be very polite & a pleasure to stay with.
There is a good range of All Inc drinks / spirits / cocktails / beers ect bought to you as soon as you need by the bar staff.
All in all We feel this hotel with a couple of tweeks could easily be a 5* hotel!!.

Now for the bad points (very few & not the hotels fault)

1. Guests still feel the need to reserve sunbeds at 6-7am in the morning & most of them don't even bother using them until 10am! we did think about chucking some off the beds just to prove a point but we always managed to find one eventually.

2. The evening entertainment was to be honest quite awful most nights we only enjoyed a few of the cabaret acts & some of the singing was a bit screechy by the in house thomson entertainers,
Alot of this was due to a sound system that could do with a complete overall !
In my view & a view shared by alot of guests we talked to is that they could of had a bit more of a range of acts not just singers in the evening!.
The two laurens although quite funny did start to grate after a few days.

But apart from that i have to say that we will definitely be returning to the Atlantica Bay Hotel & will definitely be recommending it to our friends & family!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view!

Atlantica Bay Hotel – Limassol – Cyprus

Overall a good place to take a break, good quality hotel and staff very good and the price is reasonable, and what makes it better is that was couples only, and apart from a few more noisy individuals it was a nice place to relax.

On the room I would advise to pay the extra for a sea view, as those at the back of the hotel had to look over the car park, however the room’s air con and bathroom could do with being updated. It was clean though and the bed was big and comfortable.

The entertainment was all a bit the same – mostly singers ( not that good) every night…no variety.. the two Laurens were great especially with the comedy side…but it was all the same, and unfortunately found DREEM were ok , but the backing vocals of the male singer were pretty poor.

The Pool as per, most places was subject to sunbed snatching ….and why we had to have Tea, and coffee in very small paper cups ……yet we could have beer in glass so it made no real sence.

There was a great variety of food, and as a picky vegetarian there was always something to eat and of good quality. On the down side the tables were very close, and there was no real privacy, your conversation was the next tables.

The Terrace area was a lovely area to relax, especially at night try the coffee which comes with nice little biscuits, no paper cups in sight. There was a great waitress called Andreea who worked hard on the terrace and was always helpful.

The only real problem with the hotel was the walk to the beach, through an underpass, and the bar itself is nice but there are problems with the locals using the facilities and taking the best sun beds, and also the fact that you went on a couple’s holiday to be surrounded at the weekend with families and children is not ideal, especially when all the extended family arrive as well.

Found the staff a little less amiable at the beach bar in comparison to other parts of the hotel, and they seemed to turn on the charm for the locals, maybe because of the chance of a tip? The Food was basic but good, and well-priced.

I know you can’t move the beach closer but could make the walk down the side of the hotel better if the walkway, allowed more than one person to pass, due to the trees, and also the width of the path, which means you have to walk into the service road, and avoid any car, or service van.

For the Beach – get the footwear, to protect your feet rather than do that dance over the first 10 – 15 feet of sharp gravel and stone, before your onto lovely sand, and If you want to get a better breeze stay up on the grass.

If down by the beach take a short walk to the – Blue Cherry bar…. Only a few hundred yards to the right from the Sands is the most wonderful bar, high spec, and great food, a little bit dearer than the Sands but is quality…..and well worth that short walk.

Also if you fancy something different go on the Famagusta coach trip, great food, and an interesting thought provoking topics of conversation about the split of the island.

Overall with a few tweaks, and updates at the hotel, it would be outstanding, Hotel was 4 star weather was 5 star.

Room Tip: Get a sea view...worth the extra

This is a fine hotel, in beautiful location, overlooking the Mediterranean sea with a fine restaurant. What really made this hotel fort me was the staff. A multi-national, young g team all apparently happy to be there all wanting to do their best to keep their guests happy.

The holiday we were on was a ‘no kids’ holiday which changes the atmosphere completely...and for the better

My husband and I have spent 11 nights at this wonderful hotel. On arrival we were met by Eddie who took care of our cases and happily showed us to our room. Katia was the lady who allocated our room on arrival, nothing was too much trouble for her, she was truly amazing throughout our stay. We had a Superior room overlooking the pool and the sea, it was roomy, there was a kettle, tea, coffee etc hairdryer, fridge, t.v. table and chairs and a safe, if you required one at a small fee. We originally book half board but for 55 euros a day we upgraded to AI, it was well worth it.

The food was excellent, as we are very plain eaters, we were a little concerned but there was no need as there was so much choice, the soup was gorgeous with lovely fresh bread and rolls, everyday the menu varied, WOW the fresh Salmon was mouth watering, we were able to take however much we wanted off the large fish. The deserts and ice cream were delicious and the staff were so obliging and happy, we looked forward to seeing them every day.

The entertainment was something else. THE TWO LAURENS were amazing. There was LUSH LAUREN the short Welsh one and LEGS LAUREN the slim one. Aqua aerobics was fun, bouncing about in the pool to some fantastic music. Throughout the day we were invited to join in different games also making jewellery, Sample cheese and wine, making different cocktails etc............. THE TWO LAUREN'S had magnificent voices, they sang a variety of songs and blended so well together they were a credit to Thomsons and the guests really enjoyed them singing. Poor Marcel one of the favourite waiters had a fun time with Lush Lauren, she would sing to him and chase him to try to get him on stage and pretend to be in love with him, the whole audience were in uproar and found this very amusing.

The resident duo Dreem were good and sang varied songs throughout our stay. Every night there was different entertainment the one's that stood out for us were THE LAURENS, RACHAEL KING who played 5 different instruments, CRAIG ANTHONY a brilliant comedian, STEVIE DEAN a wonderfully funny singer etc.

At the end of 11 days, we were not ready to return home and wished we had booked for at least 2 weeks. It's the best holiday we have ever had and wouldn't hesitate returning.

Room Tip: We had room 347 overlooking the pool and sea, the sun came around to the balcony mid afternoon, whic...

Just returned last week from this hotel, I was there with my husband and we both felt it was a great hotel and good value for money. We were all inclusive and the choice of food and drinks was very good. We had upgraded to a superior room which was worth it just for the view. Bed was super king size and was very comfy, our room was beside lift which did worry me initially but I didn't hear it at all. Entertainment was good, the two Lauren's (woop woop chicken soup) did a great job and considering the location of the hotel it was good to have entertainment provided. The hotel is on the outskirts of Limassol so there was not many bars or clubs in the vicinity. Pool and sun beds were ok, the sunbeds could have been a bit cleaner but I'm being a bit picky here. Waiters were great and always made sure your drinks were topped up. Overall a really nice hotel and a lovely relaxing holiday.
