We booked this hotel as a base for one night so as to attend a wedding nearby. The location was perfect for us as we could walk to the reception. We knew this was a budget hotel due to the
price we paid but a few things could be implemented to improve things slightly. Firstly an electric kettle in the kitchen area would be a great bonus as it took about 15/20 minutes to boil water to make coffee. This would create a saving on the electric bill as the electric rings are so slow.
No toiletries are provided apart from two little soap bars, we expected this and took our own plus our own hairdryer. The room we had was a fair size but unfortunately the heavy outdated furniture made it very cluttered. The hotel is a bit dated and could benefit with some renovation.
We paid an extra supplement for breakfast but this was very basic. We were asked if we wanted tea or coffee which was brought to the table promptly (small pot of tea and a cup of coffee). Rapidly followed by a pink drink, not sure what juice it was and the young girl serving didn't know either plus a small bowl of fruit salad. This was tinned fruit salad with a few bits of fresh apple chopped in to give the impression of fresh. Next came a plate each of 1 slice processed cheese, 1 slice salami cut in half and 1 slice processed ham cut in two. 3 semi circles of sliced tomato and 3 slices of cucumber plus on a side plate a fried egg. Maybe a little variety would be welcome. Some cereal would have been nice. We asked for an extra cup of tea and coffee and were presented with a bill for an additional 4 euros (not an official till receipt but written on a slip of pink paper) We didn't mind paying but maybe a notice should be put up advising guests that any extra tea or coffee would be charged.
Although there is a sign in reception asking guests not to feed the cats this was ignored and there was quite a few cats walking around the breakfast/pool area which the staff didn't attempt to shoo away. Not everybody likes cats and in fact some people could be allergic or have phobias.
In all fairness as we were there only one night we can't really judge the hotel, this is offered as constructive criticism and not to be taken as a complaint. Overall the hotel was fine for our purposes but not sure if we could have stayed there longer than a day or two.
