As you head up into the hills behind Limassol you'll come across Manolas Tavern It was Christmas Eve so it was unusually quiet but the reception was warm and friendly, the wood burner made it cozy on a cold winters night The friendly owner suggested a selection of mezzo dips, haloumi cheese and tender grilled lamb shank with fresh salad ...all delicious...washed down with a caraf of local wine. The delightful owner and local diners chatted with is about the history of the place which made for a special evening. Summers are busy so you'll need to book but there are more tables available outside outside on the terrace ...this was for us a real Cypriot experience in a lovely location and very memorable.
