My boyfriend and I have just returned from Limassol and stayed at the Navarria. It was my first time visiting Cyprus. The staff are very nice especially the afternoon/evenings ones. The lady in the gym was also very helpful and found me a good hairdresser (as we were out there for a wedding). The hotel is basic but clean. Our room overlooked the sea with a little balcony which was nice but you can hear everything your neighbours say and do. We only stayed on a B & B basis so can only comment on the breakfast which was again basic but adequate. The hotel is a 40 minute walk away from the tourist area. We often walked or caught a bus rather than a taxi but you have to wait about 15-20 minutes for the bus.

Limassol however really is not that great. It is very expensive and personally not really that nice. Do not eat in the tourist area as the restaurants charge so much. We would advise you take a bus (1.50 Euros per journey) to the Old Town and eat there (buses run to approx 10:00pm). There are plenty of nice restaurants at a fraction of the price or even try out what the hotel offer.

The beaches are ok. The water is clear but there is a lot of rubbish which spoils it.

Overall I would say the hotel was fine but Limassol was a bit of a let down and not worth the four hour plane flight.

My partner and I have just recently returned following a week's stay at the Navarria. The hotel and the staff were lovely especially Maria who works on reception. The rooms ideally could do with updating but this didn't bother us as it's only a place to sleep. We stayed on a half board basis and the food was wonderful, something for everyone. The location of the hotel isn't in a very exciting part of Cyprus however it was great that the beach was only a 5 minute walk away and although it was black sand, it was clean and the water was so warm and clear that you could see fishes swimming around, definitely worth buying a cheap snorkling set! but if you don't like swimming in the sea then the hotel pool is lovely & warm and cleaned every day. I would suggest hiring a car and visiting the ancient ruins like Kourion and also going to Aphrodites Rock, Pafos was also a lovely town to visit for the day, we hired a self drive speed boat which was great fun. We will definitely come back to this hotel for another holiday.

Generally a pretty good hotel, but located in a rather unimpressive and interesting part of Cyprus

Well to start off ignore most of the bad reviews on this site, the Professional Complainers do not know what they are talking about. As we have said in the past we do not believe that Expieda would continue using bad hotels as a company.
We Arrieved at the hotal on 31 May 2009 check in was Ok we were directed to the lifts and told where our room was. The room was basic very clean, the bathroom was clean with a nice shower over the bath. What more do you want on holiday except a clean room to sleep in and somewhere to wash and change. Nice balcony overlooking the sea but the main road was a little noisey with Motor Bikes driven by the local youth a foriegn country so you have to accept what they do.
The food was good well stocked buffet, food was hot at all times with different themes each night. The only downside to the restaurant was the Greek grey haired Wine Waiter or order taker as you wish to call him, no assett to the hotel just a hindrance, He was slow caused problems with the waiting staff and got orders wrong, when he was working you could wait 20 minutes for your drink or wine to come. No Idea of Customer service and did not like you to complain. There is a new Food and Beverage Manager who is excellent at Customer Service and Customer Relations, When he was working in the restaurant there were no problems and service was good.
There are a lot of functions at this hotel, Greek Weddings with a very large number of guests attending, it did not put a strain on the restaurant as earliuer reviews have suggested everything ran like clockwork. How they got everything back for the next day is another question, the pool area was always back for use the next morning.
Talking about the pool it was cleaned and skimmed every morning the bottom often being scrubbed from the side with long brushes, I think the black on the grouting in the tiles is probably age, it nothing to come off with the work they put into it. The maids sweep and wash the area first thing every morning and lay the area out for use.
We would stay at this hotel again if ever we did decide to go back to Cyprus but it is unlikely as there is not enough culture or history on this part of the island, it is to modern. We did venture into Northern Cyprus and if we return this is where we would go much more unspoilt.
As for Georges Bar just down from the hotel, it was good with reasonable prices and good food. George himself is cheerful as his two sons are that work in the business and the young lady from Asia. We spent most evenings there as other people from the hotel did, very popular with the local residents and ex pats.

its a well run budget hotel. Rooms are small but are kept very clean by very helpfull maids. Found all staff reception/ restaurant pleasant and helpful. plenty of sunbeds and pool kept clean. Local no 30 bus into Limassol E1.50 frequent. We were 1/2 board and found the meals good value ( for what we had paid) well cooked, chef made himself visible and talked to us. entertainment depends what you want, we found Stop the resident group enjoyable you could have a conversation without having your ears blown off. Lovely beach walk either to limassol or marina cafes/bars enroute. Georges bar pleasant helpful staff and reasonable prices for area. would we go again. YES but with Mercury next time as they offer 2 weeks with 3rd week free.
