“Good value, friendly and comfortable”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

I stayed at the Elias Beach on a short 5 day break in early October.

On arrival, check in was fast and friendly - mealtimes, facilities and the all-inclusive system were quickly and clearly explained. The room itself was relatively plain and simply decorated, not much grandeur or luxury..but had a great view over the gardens down to the sea.

The choice of restaurants and bars included in the all-inclusive package was more than adequate and quality and choice in each was good. The additional cost for all inclusive was definitely value for money when you consider the running cost of drinks and snacks through the day plus meals - even if you do end up eating outside of the hotel once or twice through your holiday.

Most impressive for me at the Elias Beach was the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff - drinks and food orders taken quickly and efficiently without being pushy. There was no sign of the all-inclusive boredom which some hotels show once they have taken your money.

All in all, a well run and friendly hotel, good value for money.

Room Tip: Spend the extra for a sea view!

We have just returned from a truly magical holiday! The hotel is spotless, the rooms are basic but had nice big comfy beds, we were upgraded to a sea view which was fantastic!

The food was lovely, lots of choice with the salads and deserts, it did get slightly boring towards the end of the holiday but there was always something to fill your plate! I was dissapointed with the selection for kids ( reading previous reviews hot food was brought out to the pool area at lunch time ) this was not the case as apparently we were now ' out of season'.
There are 2 big restaurants one where you can sit outside, both using the same buffet, there was always somewhere to sit and the queues were only 3/4 people long - which wasnt very often.
Out of restaurant hours cold snacks were available at the pool bar, they didnt do 'toasties' or 'burgers' just salads or sandwiches. The 2 A La cartes ( greek meze and japanese ) were amazing! Fantastic choice and quality of food and excellent service in all 3 restaurants! You can visit the 2 a la cartes once a week and you book them at the reception.

Great choice of drinks and cocktails available all day until 11pm, the mokka bar was lovely to sit at sunset and relax in big comfy sofas, the havana bar had great shows on a couple of times a week and all of the girls work so hard day and night to showcase thier great dancing and singing skills! There were activites all day by the pool including volley ball, aqua aerobics , water polo, archery the list goes on and loads of people got involved!

Yes there were a lot of big groups with young children( us included!!) but so what everyone goes on holiday to enjoy themselves - if you dont like kids dont go to a family hotel go to an adults only!!!!!

The pool are is lovely - 1 kids pool, 1 adults pool ( which is really really deep! ) and another pool for everyone, we never had a problem with sunbeds even after lunchtime, the beach is literally 30 seconds walk through the lovely some shaded garden area, the sea is really clean, warm and shallow.

A few of us used the spa and had a treatment - the massages were brill and the staff so lovely and friendly.

Now onto the best part...OUR AMAZING WEDDING!!!!!!!

Our Thomas Cook wedding co-ordinater CATHERINE was amazing! She was there day or night to answer any of our last minute questions, we had a meeting with her the day after we arrived and she was really friendly and enthusiastic with the whole wedding, she recommended flowers and table decorations etc.

We got married on the pier which is such a beautiful and romantic setting, it really was the best day of our lives, everything from start to finish went smoothly, we were treated like royalty, we had the reception in the blue paradise restaurant which is outside, we had the cyprus meze which was a continuos flow of food, wine was served and the bar was all inclusive. we also had the thomas cook dj who played all our favourite songs. we had 44 guests ranging from 1 to 65 and everyone had a fab time....just wish we could do it all again

We have just returned from an amazing 10 day stay at the outstanding Elias Beach. We got married during the middle of our stay on the sunset pier. This was the most magical day of our lives everything was absolutely flawless. The food outstanding, venue, location weather everything. I booked our Wedding directly with the hotel and also all of of our guests rooms, this was easy and I had no issues communicated by email or phone with the reservations manager Nelly and our fantastic Wedding Coordinator Viki. During our stay the hotel staff across all areas were fantastic, a special thank you to Niki and Georgia on Receiption, the Porters, Tony in the Restaurant and the pool bar staff. The Entertainment team Paris, Sam and Rachel did a great job all throughout the day and the evening entertainment and shows were great. The food was plentiful with lots on offer to suit all tastes always fresh, hot and delicious. Cyprus Meze restaurant outstanding also.
I'm so glad we found this diamond hotel and our party will be returning next year for another visit. Thank you to all that made our stay so magical. See you next year Emma and Robert Foster

Room Tip: 2nd or 3rd floor Sea View

We arrived at Elias Beach for our fourth visit on 10 September for what we hoped was to be a relaxing four weeks, how wrong could you be? The staff, a lot of whom have become friends were as fantastic as ever, however, the same could not be said about the standard of the other guests. The first 7/10 days we had to endure a wedding group from hell - there were kids (who should have been in school), screaming babies and toddlers, buggies all over the place blocking aisles to the restaurants and the bars. Foul language and drunken behaviour from virtually morning to night, The children were allowed to run riot all day and most of the evening until 11pm. A sigh of relief could be heard throughout the hotel could be heard on their departure. The hotel was grossly overbooked guests being put into The Grand Resort next door to sleep and coming back for meals etc. Consequently the restaurants and bars were so overcrowded, the staff could not cope and give their normally marvellous service. They all looked exhausted. There were many, many complaints to the hotel staff and management and I am sure many letter and emails will follow. We feel ordinary guests have been sacrificed in favour of wedding parties, some of the weddings were lovely, some just tacky

As always the rooms and the hotel was spotlessly clean, the buffet fairly predictable but plenty of choice. The Japanese restaurant a welcome addition and the Meze at Blue Paradise very good when it could be scheduled - this was only done when there were no wedding which was not often. We did eat out quite a lot and thank goodness we had friends who live on the island with whom we spent peaceful nights

If people want a holiday as we have described why do they not go to Agia Napa - the party place of Cyprus.

On a more positive note - the staff, as always were friendly, attentive and could not do enough for you. The hotel grounds were as immaculately kept as ever and there were plenty of sun beds.- we would like to return but are at present undecided

My wife and I use the Kanika hotel group in Cyprus of which the Elias Beach is one of them. We stayed there for 5 nights. The hotel is situated at the far end of Limassol well away from the main town centre and harbour. It is in really nice grounds and has excellent swimming pools. It has a beach too and you can walk along the seafront all the way to Limassol which is about 10km. This is the first time we have gone all inclusive and it will be our last. It simply was too much. We prefer bed and breakfast plus evening meal. The hotel had a lot of people with young children unlike any other Kanika hotel we have stayed at. The room was fine, clean and tidy. The food was good with plenty of choice but felt a bit like school dinners. The staff were not as friendly as the other hotels we've stayed at. It may well be that the fully inclusive option is to suit famlys on knowing how much they are going to spend on food and accomodation. If you do not like being around young children then maybe this should not be your choice of hotel. You can get into town by catching the number 30 bus right outside of the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed out stay here. I would not say it is a 4 star hotel but it was still good. I doubt if we would go back to Limassol as we now prefer Paphos and Protaras.

My daughter, partner, friend and myself have recently spent a week at the Elias Beach Hotel. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Food was varied, presented beautifully and tasted great. Japanese restaurant was superb. Hotel rooms were kept spotless. Gardens were lovely and there was always a sun bed spare. We would all go back to this hotel for another holiday( carn't wait).

My husband & i have just returned home from our nieces wedding at this fantastic hotel. There is nothing we could fault at the elias beach, from the very warm welcome when we first arrived, nothing was too much trouble for all the brilliant friendly & happy staff. The rooms are spotlessly clean & very comfortable. We only ate in the buffet restaurant as the food was delicious with lots of choice & variety (particularly the salads & the sweets) so we didn't feel the need to book into either of the 2 restaurants. The swimming pools were warm with plenty of sunbeds around them, we were always able to get one there or on the lovely grassed area overlooking the sea or on the beach. What a talented entertainment team, they work very hard & obviously enjoy the job they do. I can only describe the wedding as MAGICAL the setting is absolutely stunning, it was all very well organised & the weather made it a perfect day.
