Elias is very good in every sense: tasty and wholesome food, friendly and helpful staff, convenient location, large and comfy rooms, ambiance, sandy beach, attractive design, entertainment is excellent, both for kids as for adults.

Just got back from a weeks holiday in the elias and had a fantastic time, the animation team was amazing, they worked really hard, always had a smile and did some fantastic shows, Sam, Emily and Paris were outstanding. The Japanese restraunt was fabulous. The hotel was very clean and staff very friendly. The only downside for me was no tea and coffee facilities in the room and it was far out from the town.

Room Tip: Inland view rooms quite noisy.

I was let down by this hotel it is no more than a three star. Rooms are basic food nothing great. Some members of staff are pleasant managed to get moved to another hotel thank god we did as a fortnight in this hotel would have ruined our holiday

Just returned from a three week holiday and loved the two new restaurants. The Japanese has an amazing food quality cooked by a highly rated Japanese chef and I really never tasted anything like it before. I "pinched" form the others to taste the pork and chicken which were so delicious (see pictures). The second restaurant is the Greek Taverna, by the sea, serving authentic Greek food and absolutely delicious too. You need to book for both restaurants and if you are half board all inclusive is of course free. The hotel is spotless everywhere and the staff, as always, very helpful. We had a sea view room and the view was superb (see pictures). Once they upgrade the TVs next year it will complete the whole package. For us it's very simple: you can try another hotel and risk what you are getting or go to a place where you know exactly what you are getting. By the way this hotel was chosen by us all those years ago by simply visiting the gardens and seen how many trees there were giving "thick" shade in a burning summer sun. In fact we have "our favourite" tree !!!! This time we also saw staff "bonding" together at a beach party organised by the management. Brilliant idea and it was fun to watch some of the managers makings fools of themselves!! ( they were pretending really...sorry Chris, Costas, Efgenia,George,Jack) !! Oh dear I am in trouble now !!!
Would I recommend it? Without question!!

Room Tip: We have always booked a sea view which is so much better for the difference in price. Of course it depends when you are going.

Just returned and I would echo what most other reviewers have said on here about this hotel, apart from the last review which quite frankly they must have been staying at a different hotel from everyone else, but hey all personal taste I guess.

We have stayed at many 4 and indeed 5 star all inclusive hotels in Europe and the Caribbean and can honestly say this is the best we have stayed in Europe for the food and entertainment which were no excellent.

So here is a run down of the key points. Both positive and negative but 90% positive.

Arrival: on arrival we had a great welcome both at reception and from Evgenia the guest services manager and then the porter Adrian who showed us to our room and explained how the safe worked which by the way is free along with some free bottles of water and coke in the fridge.

Food: well this was excellent for a European AI which often is not great but every night and lunch the was plenty of choice and of a high quality and as I have said we have stayed in many 4 star AI hotels and this was better than most with a choice for everyone and for those narrow minded Brits they had their chips and kids corner food to eat. When tired of the buffet there was a choice of a Japanese and Cypriot meze restaurants you could go to once a week so twice in a week where the food was excellent. The only thing I would say about the meal times is prod seemed to eat early for some reason so by 9pm it was very quiet and the staff started to pack up even though the buffet is open to 9.45. When you arrive at the restaurants you are met and helped to find a suitable table of your choice where possible, we cannot remember the name of the lady in the flavours restaurant but she was wonderful and got to know us and remembered the drinks we wanted etc each time.

Pool and grounds: very nice pools, there was a main pool and a toddlers pool then a 2 metre deep pool for adults although plenty of kids were in there. The pool attendants were fine apart from 1 who we think was Russian who was quite miserable and never saw him smile once and seem to get pleasure in trying to stamp out any sign of fun. As for sun beds then yes the usual early risers (or more likely the night before) laying claim to sun beds with their towels then not returning until late morning but that is the same everywhere so to be expected. The pool bar wasn't the best in terms of ambience and closed at 6pm on the dot but the staff were great and worked very hard in very hot conditions with loads of choice of drinks on AI especially the strong cocktails and the Keo local beer was fine, if like me though you don't want to drink pints during the day then be sure to ask for a small beer otherwise they give you a pint as standard.

Beach: really nice sandy beach although dark sand it is nice and the sea is lovely and very shallow so great for kids as our 7 year old daughter was very safe as you could wade out a good 100 yards with it only starting to get deep beyond the jetty. The only tip I would give though is take a dip it he morning as although the water is colder then it tended to get quite choppy in the afternoons when the wind got up which it seem to at around 12ish every day like clockwork then last until the evening and die away completely around 9pm. Weddings are held on the jetty which makes for great viewing and is nice to see and there were 3 in the 2 weeks we were there.

Entertainment: the kanika all star girls were absolutely fantastic an easily the best we have seen anywhere as they sang all the songs and danced and put on great shows not just the usual miming along to inane show tunes. They were great in the day also and our daughter especially loved the arrival of Gigi the giraffe at the poolside each day around 12. These girls deserve all the praise they receive here and work very hard so well done to Paris, Sam, Rachel, Emily and Milena and apologies if I have missed anyone.

Location: yes the hotel is about 5 miles or so outside of Limasoll but I would count is as a good thing as we took a bus into Limasoll one evening and were not impressed, it looks like they are spending some money to do up the dock area but it all seemed very run down and shabby so we didn't stay long. To be honest it seems to be an industrial city and working dock with very busy shipping and the town reflects this. If you want to get a ca and explore which we did for a couple of days then you couldn't be better placed as the is direct access to the motorway but you don't get the noise so don't worry. Would recommend going out and about as it is a lovely and very interesting island, we went up the mountains to troodos and pano platres and then omodos which was great and very different from the coastal region. Would recommended you get a good car thou as the ford focus we had really struggled to get up the mountain roads. We also went to Latchi on the north cost which was a nice fishing village but the beach was very stony and the sea is very deep and not great for kids but still nice. My wife and her mother went on a day trip to famagusta which they found fascinating and quite sad to we it all abandoned as they said was a beautiful part of the island with lovely beaches. One day my daughter and me went to the fasouri water park which is about 10 miles away and we took the bus directly outside the hotel at a cost of 4 euros which is great value but we had to get a cab back at 25 euros as the bus left early but we didn't care as we had a fantastic day, I had not been to a water park before and we both loved it it was very clean and safe and the tube slides are great as is the lazy river which goes on forever, not cheap though at 29 euros for adults and 16 for children but a great full day out.

So in summary a lovely hotel with great food, staff, entertainment and beach but would perhaps not return but only because of wants to stay in a different part of the island and nothing to do with the hotel. Just one last thing the air con is absolutely fine and in fact got quite cold at night in the room so would turn it down.
