Did the previous reviewers stay in the same hotel? Yes this has all the usual amenities of a 5 star hotel, coffee making, bathrobes, laundry service etc but the ambience is not there. What other 5 star hotel tells its guests how to dress in the evening! Bed sheets were changed only once during our stay, and the table and chairs by the lifts can't have been cleaned for weeks. Breakfast had a huge choice but was tasteless, bacon burnt round the edges and eggs still raw and goodness knows what passed as the hash browns, the toast machine took 10 minutes to colour the bread. In the Tycoons bar after a very long wait a plain chicken burger came covered in mayonaise and the chips were stone cold. One day we were made to feel very uncomfortable when men in suits attending a conference came wandering round the pool and the same afternoon around 4.30pm the sunbeds were gradually shifted and tables put in their places ready for an al fresco meal to be enjoyed by the conference goers. Picture added. This is at best a good 3 star hotel. I would not recommend a stay here and if unfortunately you have already booked may I suggest you eat out at Terra Mere where the food it top quality.

Room Tip: Our room 238 overlooked some good restaurants. There was a lot of traffic noise from the three roads...

This hotel is situated quite a distance from Limassol A bus outside the hotel takes you into the city for Euro 1-( but the buses stop running at 10.00pm, whilst a taxi will cost between Euro 15 - 20. There is not much available in the way of entertainment in the immediate area outside the resort, other than a few restaurants and bars along with a few supermarkets.

The public rooms and grounds are amazing and well cared for. The hotel provides an excellent buffet breakfast. Staff are friendly and helpful. The public areas are kept spotless..

Bedrooms are spacious and well furnished. Bedrooms that do not have a sea view are noisy and the balconys with these rooms face inland and there are two busy main roads outside the hotel entrance.

Our particular room was in need of an upgrade - stains on the bedroom walls and the grouting on the tiles around the bath tub were particulary in poor condition. The room itself was clean and comfortable.

We found the price of food and drink in the resort to be fairly expensive - 12.5 Euro for a gin and tonic.

Whilst officially classed as a five star property - it in no way compares to five star properties in the UK, USA or other major European Cities.

In all, because of the "isolated" location - we were glad of the facilities available but on any future trip would choose a property nearer to the town of Limassol.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a sea-view room.

Every time I of go to Cyprus I stay only in Grand Resort. It is a great place to spend your holiday. It is big hotel with a very beautiful territory!
Rooms in the hotel are big and very comfortable and if you will take the sea view, every morning you will wake up and see all the beauty of Cyprus. In those rooms you will find everything what you need and even more. Well cleaned twice per day and fresh fruits when you arrive.
About the food. In the hotel there is a main restaurant, with a big variety of different dishes. Every evening there is something new, I even remember days of Russian food, which was really nice.
Also in the hotel there are few restaurants where you can always go if you would like something new. One of them is the restaurant of Asian food where they make fantastic sushi and many other delicious dishes. In the hotel there are 2 bars, one of them is a lounge bar with live music and the huge cocktail card. The bartender of this bar is a woman who is one of the top 10 bartenders in the world. So nice long drinks are provided. The second bar you will find in the pool area. After the dinner the stuff of the hotel is organizing a mini-disco for children and entertaining program for adults which includes dancers, fire-show and amazing magician. Also, every Tuesday the hotel is organizing a management cocktail party with free food and champagne.
Furthermore, in the Grand you will find an amazing SPA with real professionals working there! I really liked it!
About the stuff. I travel a lot and have been to many places, but to be honest I never saw such a great stuff team. All of them are very kind and friendly and are always ready to help with everything and they will never be rude to you. All the managers and even the owner of the hotel with pleasure will sit down with you and will chat if you have any questions. And if you stayed in the hotel more than once you will have some sort of privileges. The Grand resort is really taking care about their clients.

To conclude I can tell only one thing, this is a really good place for every kind of a holiday. No matter if you came with your family and children or with your friends. You will never get bored in this place and I guarantee that u will be satisfied with you holiday.

Room Tip: Sea side room

We stayed here for two and a half weeks in September this year. The hotel was extremely comfortable, clean and very welcoming. We had a superior sea view room which was large and bright with a surrounding balcony overlooking the pool and sea. Lovely to enjoy the wonderful sunsets sitting there with a glass of wine at the end of the day. My only criticism of the facilities in the room was the the large cumbersome TV set but as we didn't go on holiday to watch TV it was't too much of a problem, a more modern set would just have made the room look a bit more exclusive. The decor in the room was also somewhat worn and there wasn't enough three pin power sockets. However this was resolved very quickly and efficiently by one of the management staff when mentioned in passing. A 4 gang extension adapter was in our room when we returned from a day out that evening solved our problem!

The strength of this hotel are the young and professional staff, from the management down. Everyone was welcoming, charming and very eager to please. Special mention of Angelo and his breakfast dining room staff here.
The pool and beach facilities were excellent. Much cooler to sit in the garden above the beach than by the pool as a welcoming breeze wafted in usually by mid morning. There are plenty of good quality sun beds and sun shades with free beach towels provided each day. The area was well maintained and clean.
We used the gym daily to keep the excess baggage down! We also enjoyed walking the board walk towards Limassol in the evenings from directly in front of the hotel along the seashore in a further attempt to stay fit!
There is a choice of bars from the busy beach bar to the quiet atmospheric Ethnic Bar, our favourite place for a cocktail before dinner.

Our only criticism of the location of this lovely hotel it's proximity to the Elias Beach Hotel next door, whose excessively loud music, played both at times during the day and well into the night on many evenings, was extremely intrusive to the ambience of the Grand Resort. The booming base vibrating through our room at night till past midnight when there was a function on next door was often an extremely annoying end to a lovely day. In discussion with the management about this we were informed that they were well aware of this and are currently involved in measures to address the issues. I do hope they succeed

On the whole we had a wonderful holiday at this hotel and will definitely return with our cushnshades, Haris, just in case you have not managed to source them! ! Many congratulations to you and your staff.

Room Tip: Superior seaview room, has two large picture windows both opening onto the outside balcony with love...

I stayed at the Grand Resort as part of a company paid for Elite package. On arrival, we were served drinks and canapes in the Aloha bar and the service and food were definitely top notch.
The hotel lived up to it's 5-star rating in my opinion. The hotel staff were friendly, the pool area and beach were clean and inviting and the spa was outstanding (I had a velvet nights massage). Breakfast each day was a particular highlight as you could eat outside under canopies or inside and there was a wide range of food to choose from.
The hotel is well situated and has shops and bars just opposite for anything you can't get in the hotel. It's also not far from the centre of town.
My only gripe would be the rooms. For a 5 star hotel, the room left me less than impressed and as a previous reviewer stated, more akin to what I would expect in a 3-star hotel. The furniture and room looked dated and my double bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together so I could feel the ridge in the mattress down the middle.

Room Tip: I would book rooms higher up the hotel if given the option as there are some spectacular views of th...

I've visited many excellent hotels but I can say that Grand Resort is the top of all hotels I've ever been to. It's perfect in all ways. The hotel is situated in a calmer part of Limassol and I think it is a big advantage. There is a wide selection of delicious food. I can recommend especially sweets, which look and taste great. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and furnished as 5 star hotel rooms should be. Staff is very kind, friendly and helpfull, service in restaurants and bars is fast. Waiters are always smiling. The most lovely place for me was Kyma poolside restaurant with a beautiful sea view. And of course I can't forget to mention that there's a lovely spa as well. There's a very good atmosphere throughout the hotel.
I was very satisfied with this hotel and I can say that I spent the best summer there.

Lovely hotel, very comfortable with excellent restaurants. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained with some nice touches, although the beds could be more comfortable. The staff are very courteous and friendly. Good choice at breakfast. The Kyma poolside restaurant is also a lovely outside setting and the food is generally of a high standard. Sunbeds are free and at the time we went (early Oct) there was no competition for them. Peaceful and relaxing pool area leading through trees down to the beach. Good group of local restaurants too.Overall would recommend.
