Situated in the old town a good hotel for cost conscious people. Just across the road from the beach, with a variety of watersports. Nearer to the old town shops that the tourist area. Hotel is a good clean 4 star, staff accommodating, food good, pool area rather cramped better off going to the beach, although across a busy road there is an underpass for safe passage. The only downfall are the breakfast arrangements, everyone sits at a long table a bit like a school dorm. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel so not sure if the same arrangements apply then. We tried all the local restaurants for the variety. A car is useful to get about but the town buses are cheap although often crowded. Big Bens is nearby and they have excellent meals all day for all types of diet.
Michael is very accommodating and will anything to order if not on the menu. Have know him and his family for many years and although you might not want to eat there every night, it is only a short stroll from the hotel. You don't have to eat there if you just fancy a drink thats ok too.More
