“Great Hotel, Great Service.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2012

I had stayed in two hotels while in Limassol and this was by far the better of the two. I enjoyed everything about it. They were short on rooms so I ended up getting an upgrade to their jacuzzi suite, which was also very nice.

Most rooms have balconies, so you wake up to the sound of the ocean in the morning.

Housekeeping keeps things very clean, tidy, etc.

The beds are comfy and the wifi is fast (though not free).

This is not a mega sized hotel and it doesn't treat its guests that way.

Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay at Londa. First very nice surprise was that we were upgraded to a suite, and what a suite! The total surface was huge, with a bright living room, including sofas, very large wardrobe, desk, mirrors, access to a big balcony. The living room was connected to the bedroom with japanese style sliding doors and an ingenious rotating tv-bench. The bedroom was equally nice, with king-size bed and soft sheets. But the best was the 2 lovely bathrooms, one with shower and one with bathtub. Decoration was truly sleek, not just "wannabe design", I absolutely loved it. Everything looked quite expensive and well finished, to the smallest details.

They also had very nice attentions, like bottles of water and homemade cookies waiting for us every evening on our bedside table, much appreciated in the Cypriot heat. Air conditionning was efficient and quiet.

The hotel itself is of course as gorgeous as the rooms, and the bar is perfect to chill out in the evening. During week ends it is packed with local "beautiful people". My only critic is that cocktails and food at the bar are really not good enough, especially considering the prices (from 8,5€ for cocktails and around 15€ for a greek salad). The dinners at Caprice however were a good surprise. Fresh ingredients, good execution and generous portions; again it's not cheap but so much better than all the crapy tourist traps you'll find in town.

The pool is not exceptional but clean, and the sunbeds are comfy. Since we were travelling at low season, we didn't struggle to get a spot in the morning. Here service is also attentive, staff is installing parasols so you get the exact amount of shade/sun you wish, and they also bring complimentary mini-smoothies twice a day to cool you down.

One irritating detail: be warned that wifi in the rooms is not free. But other than that I loved my stay at Londa, it's fabulous for romantic getaways since the hotel is not offering specific facilities for children.

Londa’s new Caprice Menu is an irresistible temptation!
Innovative Italian gourmet choices complemented by selected wines, excellent service, pleasant restaurant ambience with beautiful Mediterranean sea view. A gastronomic experience not to be missed… the “dolci” are absolutely divine!

If you are going to this part of Cyprus you will need a good hotel, because the surrounding area does not have a lot to offer. Hotel Londa ticked all the boxes for us. Pleasant staff, excellent restaurant, and wonderful beachside pool.

Room Tip: Pay extra for the seaview, worth every penny !

The Londa is a very stylish and chic hotel for everyone who seeks relaxation by the pool in a comfortable environment - including warm temperatures and lovely sunshine while mainland Europe goes into Autumn. The hotel is small and you do not have to go far to explore the grounds. The breakfast/dinner and lounge areas were truly lovely and busy at times when other venues outside the hotel were doing less well, especially in the evenings. The pool bar area was the main meeting spot during the day, attracting quite a few business people too, including the hustle and bustle that goes with it. The dress code in the hotel is med casual, although the rich and beautiful frequenting the venue somewhat dominate the label variety.

The rooms are wonderful and really comfortable with all amenities you would expect. The hotel information on the desk was somewhat outdated though and would benefit from an update. The pictures provided on the website show the real deal - with the exception of the SPA. There are NO treatment rooms with a view of the med. All treatment rooms are free of windows altogether. But the poster at the SPA reception (which is what you see on the website) is nice and makes you want to go there. Once there, the beauticians are really nice and qualified - just what you need to spoil yourself a little while on vacation. Definitely recommended!

The outdoor area around the pool was lovely in itself, although small. If the hotel is full there appears to be a daily morning run for sunbeds in favorite places around the deck. The beach at the hotel is very small and shared with the apartment block next door it seems. So is the pool shower area which did not represent the class of the hotel. The water sports place at the small beach leaves room for improvement and, subsequently, did no business on any of the 10 days I was there.

The staff at the hotel is an international mix, some of which have been there for many years. All of them are attentive and friendly and speak English. The dominant language spoken among guests appears to have been Russian.

The hotel is a good choice for single travelers on a get-away. You can either launch around the pool or day, visit the SPA or have the reception staff organize a tour for you. Eating at the hotel can definitely be recommended. Everyone will treat you well and make you feel good - so good you will want to go there again.

Room Tip: A room with sideview is a room with sideview!

Dear Reviewer
It has been a pleasure receiving your review with your kind and constructive comments. Thank you very much for taking the time. We are very happy that your stay at the Londa was a memorable one and that you have enjoyed our hotel’s amenities. The spa image you mentioned is not one of our treatment rooms but of our massage tent outside and next to our pool-bar. This tent is put up occasionally when the climate allows it.
We are looking forward to having the opportunity to welcome you back in the very near future.
Best regards and greetings to Frankfurt

Londa is a small chic modern hotel based on the sea shore in Limassol about 3kms from the town. The surrounding area is unremarkable with evidence of the downturn in business but who cares when there is little need to leave the hotel.

Some of the staff have been working in the hotel for years and take much pride in the running of the hotel which is more homely than any we have stayed in previously. Newer staff have the same friendly casual approach while they deliver a service second to none. Staff dress is casual (the head waiter wears white linen trousers and shirt with deck shoes) which is all part of the ambiance.

A business customer for years, I had to move to another hotel while Londa was re furbished but coming back was like coming home.

Rooms are modern and clean but none seaview rooms, especially on the lower floors may have little view - not an issue if a business traveler and if on holiday the lure of the pool and deck area is such that there is little need to have a room with a view.

The covered outdoor bar area serving refreshments and food all day is comfortable and very popular with locals and the restaurant, with its Italian chef is good and not over priced.Unlike many hotels drinks and food are priced realistically so residents tend to stay on site rather than leave to seek cheaper options.

There is a very small beach but most guests opt for the pool and deck area where there is a comfortable poolside bar and restaurant.

If I had any complaint it could only be that the sun mattresses, which are laid directly on the deck, are low for elderly guests to use. Fortunately the ever attentive poolside staff are happy to oblige by laying one mattress on top of the other and they will put a towel on them for you every morning.

We will be back.

Room Tip: Sea view front of hotel rooms may not be worth paying for.
