Amani and the entire team of Four Seasons Hotel made our stay truly memorable......All of us are traveling a lot and we are staying at hotels for many nights per year - allover the world. But not always we are treated with such warmth and such attention.
We all really appreciated this very much and we do hope to come back one day.

The Four Seasons, Limassol just gets better and better. We have visited this hotel at least 10 times now and were overwhelmed by our most recent trip. The staff are exceptional - and I mean ALL staff. From management to the unsung heroes attending to chamber maid duties, they are so helpful and courteous, nothing is too much trouble. The facilities at the hotel are second to none and it is a complete pleasure to stay there. It is easy to lose track of time which is what a holiday is all about. I see that it has been commented on that Limassol is not so charming but I feel that it is only right to sing the praises of the Four Seasons in isolation.
We have stayed there when weddings & conferences are in session and have been completely unaware that such functions were taking place. There are separate facilities for these so as not to disturb other guests.
The bars at both Pool and Beach are staffed by the most attentive and caring people I have ever come across and, as a result, would be hard pushed to find their equal.Louis and George, Natasha & Anelia are stars.
The Vista Bar, presided over by George Michael ( no, not the Pop Star!), is a joy and staff like Mamas, Panos, Stalo, Natalie, Vladlena and the illustrious Ludmila make the welcome complete.
The restaurants are without doubt the best on the island. Mavromatis is, in Michelin terms, three star with Vivaldi not far behind. The recent closure whilst re-vamping menus has clearly been a triumph and we wish them every success - well done Amani !!
The Seasons Oriental remains the best Oriental food we have ever eaten and it needs mentioning that we have eaten in HK and Beijing! There is always a wonderful welcome from Sunny - she is well named.
The welcome reception on a Monday evening when almost all mangers are in attendance is worth going to. It is not stuffy but an opportunity where guests are listened to and constructive ideas are acted upon. Not to mention delicious canapes and drinks in abundance. in fact, that is a word which sums up the Four Seasons admirably.
We shall most certainly be back, the establishment is almost faultless.

We stayed at the hotel for two weeks in August. The food and service were excellent, but expensive. I did find that the number of elderly gentlemen with their young ladies was quite unsettling, especially as we were travelling with young teenage daughters. The hotel is not situated in a very picturesque location, and the journey to the old town takes you past some very seedy places.
The staff at the hotel are very helpful and friendly. Howeverwe had to complain one night when there was a wedding party at the hotel and the noise from the disco went on until the early hours of the morning. Staff on this occassion were neither helpful or apologetic.
I enjoyed the holiday but would not return to the hotel.

We have stayed at many 5* hotels over the world, and this is right up there with the best... but this is mainly due to the staff at the hotel, who are exceptional. A special mention has to go to Patrick who was the barman at the 'adults only' pool, he was brilliant and a real credit to the hotel.

Positives :

* We had a Sea View studio - the room was large and had everything in it you would need.
* Adults Only pool is a god send as it is so quiet and great to relax at. There are always plenty of beds available and the service you get poolside from the bar is excellent... you sometimes get free ice creams, slush drinks, cold towels, fruit all brought to you at some point in the day.
* Restaurants - all great quality and although expensive, the quality of the food is well worth the money.
* Breakfast - good selection and hot food seems to be replenished quite frequently so always hot and fresh.
* Staff - all so friendly and cannot do enough for you.

Negatives -

* Price of drinks - this is the only negative I can draw from this hotel but we did feel the cost of alcoholic drinks was excessive.

The other 'negative' I would mention is not really anything to do with the hotel but more to do with Limassol as a place. We found it not the cleanest place and there was not a lot of nice areas to go to. This is mainly due to the fact that the main road where all the bars/restaurants seem to be situated is so busy and there are A LOT of what I would deem as 'boy racers' driving about who seem to be in competition with each other over who can make the biggest noise from their exhaust and who can screech their tyres the loudest! This is so annoying and when you are trying to have a nice meal it kind of ruins it!

After 15 years of staying in this hotel, twice a year, there is no doubt that it is the best in Europe from all aspects, we have always enjoyed the constant changes in there, there is always something new for every member of the family, we are now the fourth generation. we were only teenagers when we started visiting the Four Seasons. My brother just had his wedding in their lovely chple and we all had a wonderful party.
The only two things that never changed are the excellent quality from all aspects and the amazingly friendly staff, and when one sees the same faces at the same hotel for so many years, they become like family and we are treatred as members of a family, even when my great grand father passed away last year, many of the management and some of the staff flew over to pay their respects. So honestly, when anyone of our big family reads any of those reviews of unhappy guests, it only makes us wonder, are they for real, 15 years and we never had one problem of such.
To all the Four Seasons staff, from our heart, we thank you for giving us a home away from home.

This is an exquisitely run hotel, and they take extraordinary pains to make thir service perfect. And when they do slip, they are horrified. Example: I was drinking tea in the lobby, and my husband made a haridressing appointment for me. I asked them to send my tea down to the salon, but it never arrived. When I complained upon check-out to the management, they apologized profusely, invited me to have the whole family partake of tea in the lobby as their guests, etc. They have the best mattresses I have ever slept on, to the point where I plan to buy from the same company; for the first time in years I woke up each morning without any stiffness, pain, or aches. The food is simply delectable, and the waiters are friendly, polite, and extremely attentive.
Every half normal hotel nowadays bills itself as five stars; this hotel is the real item. It makes the Berlin Ritz-Carlton seem like the Holiday Inn. In short, if you are looking for a hotel that truly provides the kind of courteousness and attentiveness rarely encountered nowadays, in a beautiful and relaxing setting, look no farther. My husband and I were so impressed that we immediately sought to book another vacation this weekend there (they were full, alas)

Some background first. My wife and I will not see 60 again, but we are young at heart. We are also well travelled and have stayed in some top quality hotels.

Firstly the hotel inside . It is simply fantastic. Top quality everything. We stayed in a studio apartment (slighly larger than a standard room with a sofa and sea view balcony ). Lovely room with high insulation from noise inside and outside the room. Only criticism is that there is no hair conditioner withe suppied toileteries which is odd for a 5 star hotel. The restaurants are elegant and ladies can where their best clothes and jewellery. The indoor pool ,sauna and steam facilities (free) are good and the gym has state of the art equipment. We did not use the spa.

At the back of the hotel is a huge pool with a separate, nice kids area with a slide. The separate adults only pool is a delight, with a book exchange facility (good idea). The attached Colors cafe has ice cream to die for and is very popular in the evenings as well.
Their is a lower grass terrace below the main pool with sun beds. Very quiet with its own bar. Then below that there is the private beach and watersports club. We cannot imagine that there would ever be too many people for the sun beds, as there are just so many.

Now to the not so good bits. If you walk out of the front of the hotel you are into a world of tacky mediocrity. Johny's pub is opposite the hotel and the Wembley pub with outdoor pool tables is about 100 metres to the left past Pizza Hut. Having said that , if you continue walking left you will come to some acceptable restaurants where we ate. Limassol is a modest port city with little to say about it.

And then there are the Russians. If we set to one side the Pepsi Russian offsite at the hotel (200 reps), then the hotel still had a high proportion of Russians. This should not be a problem, but they (like the Americans) are just so loud, wanting all to hear them.

Buuuuuuuuuut, if you do not mind a hotel holiday and can afford the high prices (3.75 euros for a small plastic cup of coca cola) then this is the place to go. We will certainly go again.
