We stayed for two weeks and had a fantastic time. The staff were friendly and did not hassle you. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels given. The facilities were excellent right next to the beach which you could take your sun loungers onto if you wished. The travel advisors did a excellent job to ensure your holiday went smoothly and was always on hand for help and advice. This hotel is good for couples but not for families with children who want to be active as no childrens club or pool games ( which we enjoyed as peaceful).Hotel restaurant food good and good value for money. The only critisism that we can make is that due to the heat the chlorine levels in the pool were high which ruined our swimwear and the air conditioning in the rooms could be updated also the reception needed some airconditioning as you could not sit in there in the evening as it as to hot. We are definately going back to the Souili next year. Overall if you want a peaceful, relaxing ,clean and tidy hotel with friendly staff the Souili is the one.

Returned after 3 years to find the hotel looking shabby. On my previous visit only a couple of jeep safari groups came each lunchtime, now they come in droves. The locals now appear to take over the hotel at weekends. The owners most certainly are far less friendly than last time and I feel money has become their god. Its a shame the hotel has lost the calm and relaxed feel that it had and I will not return.

We have just returned from a week stay at the Souli Hotel. We had a wonderful holiday - the location is brilliant right on the beach and the rooms though basic are adequate and cleaned daily. Enjoy the sunsets with a glass of wine, bliss. The hotel restaurantl serves a great variety of dishes and service is good and prices very reasonable. The staff at the hotel are friendly and really do want you to have a good time.. We would say that this hotel cannot be faulted for a couples holiday more suited to older rather than young singles. We hope to return some time. Sally and Mark

We stayed in Souli Beach Hotel early November and enjoyed our stay. Our room was neat and tidy, with a large bathroom, and was on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the beach. It was great waking up to the sounds of the waves outside. The family who ran the hotel were very friendly and approachable. The location was great, not too far from the Baths of Aphrodite and the shops. Breakfast was ample and the two meals we had there were lovely. I would definitely stay there again.

We read the reviews before we booked a week at the Souli, and even spoke to our local travel agent who used to rep in Latchi. When we arrived, the hotel was not at all what we expected. We have stayed in lots of 2 star hotels, mostly in Greece and all were superior to this. the Hotel is very tired, looks as if the owners have been resting on thier laurels for a few years. The whole place was in need of renovation. all the soft furnishings needed replacing. Pillows were disgraceful, so badly stained they were brown and the towels were hard and threadbare.it was the only Taverna in Latchi where the tablecloths were not replaced for days and were covered in stains sometimes. the only place we have stayed where breakfast was self service and you were expected to lay and clear your own tables! The grassed areas around the hotel did not exist as the sprinkler system had obviously been broken for months if not years, and broken sunbeds were left lying around the pool area, which was not even tidied up most nights. Having said that the Taverna next door was great, good value and really appreciated your patronage. The waiter with long hair was brilliant, and we enjoyed walking into Latchi harbour for drinks and meals most nights. To get around we hired bikes and cycled around and reallt enjoyed the camp site beach bet6ween Latchi and Polis. Would we go back? Probably latchi, but to the Souli, Never.

This is a very popular family run hotel, in fact we appeared to be the only 1st timers here. We booked late and were unable to get a sea view room. We found the noise from the road on the south side of the hotel disturbing partly due to the amount of construction traffic. The nearby village of Neo Chorio is undergoing huge development. Some of the locals have modified Subaru Imprezas and loud quad bikes and despite a 30kph limit and a speed hump right by the hotel both of these are ignored. Excellent maid service daily, the hotel is kept very clean and many guests spent their time in and around the hotel. The gardens are not well kept and looked sad. Good restaurant right on the seafront but we found this lacking atmosphere and the lighting at night was very drab. We did not try the new fine dining option which appeared to be somewhat expensive. The family appear to be very standoffish and you are not acknowledged unless you speak first however they are fine if you want to talk to them. This was our first time in Cyprus for 21 years and this area is still largely unspoilt at least for the time being. On the few occasions we encountered the jeep safari lunch stop it was no problem whatsoever. If we return to Cyprus we would consider this hotel again only in a seaview room. The option of a fridge in the rooms at 4.50e a day was very welcome and certainly paid for itself in our case. For a 2* hotel in this location you will not do better than this.

We stayed at the Souli for two weeks at the end of July, and actually felt sorry for the guests at the nearby 5* establishment who had probably paid more for one night than we did for our entire holiday. The location is simply lovely - the hotel is right by the sea and we lay in bed each night listening to the waves roll gently in.

Yes the jeep safaris called by every day for lunch, but they had a set menu which was served en-masse when they arrived, and they were allocated tables away from the seafront side of the restaurant. They never stayed long, it just seemed like it sometimes because another jeep would arrive as one left! We always got a table if we asked for one, and it was possible to reserve one anyway so it wasn't a problem. The waiters were excellent (if overworked) and nothing was too much trouble even at the busiest times.

We found the hotel management perfectly helpful if approached - if not, they left you to get on with your holiday and that suited us just fine. If we'd wanted to have attention danced on us we'd have chosen a higher star-rating (and probably paid a lot more)

The hotel is frequented by locals precisely because it is beautifully situated, serves good food and represents excellent value for money. The behaviour of some guests as described in other reviews is to be deplored, but is hardly the fault of the management or the staff. During our stay a Cypriot family were using the pool before 7am (it opens at 9) and woke us with their screaming and splashing, so I went down and spoke to the parents. The children were promptly ordered out of the pool and the parents apologised, saying they didn't realise the pool was closed. Common sense should have dictated that they prevent the children from making enough noise to wake the whole hotel, but they were on holiday too and I probably spoiled their fun......!

If you want a homogenised, European-style hotel then this isn't the place for you. However, if you want real value for money in a lovely location, and can tolerate other people and even locals coming into your holiday environment, you could do far worse than give the Souli a try. Just one final word of advice - pay the extra for a sea view room, leave the aircon alone, open your doors and listen to the sea..........
