We stayed here for a week in early October and despite mixed weather really enjoyed the food, pools and beach. Is is a few miles out from the typically laid back, harbour resort of Latchi but taxis are easily arranged. The staff are really good; attentive and very pleasant. There are several restaurants on site offering a choice of menu and it is a 5 star hotel so dint expect a bargain. You pay for what you get and whilst this is not a cheap place to stay you do get looked after.

Room Tip: Would recommend a garden suite with sea views.

Perfect for wedding Anniversary! Beautiful hotel and surrounding. Amazing view. Rather for couples than for families with kids. Expensive but worth it. Calm. Kind service. Will make the best memories last..

We booked a family holiday for the half term to the Anassa on the Sunday times recommendation of Giles Coren, who we will now be following very closely but only to avoid any other places her recommends! We paid the best part of 20k for our break but ended up staying only 4 days and ending our holiday over a week early. On the morning of our first day as we were preparing to go down to breakfast our 4 year old daughter pointed out a huge spider on the coving above our sons cot. This was not a normal house spider but a European Tarantula! We was absolutely horrified beyond belief. Admittedly I do have a spider phobia but I did not expect to see this type of spider in Cyprus. The spider was dealt with by a woman from housekeeping who arrived with a broom and attacked it and took it away. My husband has since told me that the lady told him it was the type that shoots its hairs and can stick in your skin. The hotel told me that they only sting like a bee, but it was above my 18 month old sons cot and I did not want my kids stung by this. The hotel was very accommodating and moved us to another room. We were told that it was rare for them to come inside and they had no other complaints from other guests. I still felt uneasy in the second room but to my horror another appeared from behind the tv cabinet in the middle of the night. The weather was wet and this may not have helped. We flew home ASAP the next day after offers from the hotel to transfer to the two sister hotels. Unfortunately we had a very mediocre meal at Helios restaurant that was extortionate. I found a piece of black plastic that could have broken my tooth and the staff passes this off as truffle! Rubbish. For lunch in the amphora restaurant we ordered pizza and it was a frozen base for 25 euro! On a good note the kids club was fantastic, the staff very knowledgable and friendly. Obviously we will not be returning to Anassa or Cyprus.

Just coming to the end of our 3rd visit and already planning the next. Seems surreal that for such a short flight we are basking in 28c sunshine while it's November next week at home!

As always Anassa has provided everything we need for a perfect family holiday- stunning location, fab food, activities for kids and it's a beautiful property with stunning decor and views to die for.

We have used the spa this week also and the facility is world class.

The staff have as always made us feel genuinely welcome but Dora at the Amphora restaurant deserves a special mention, her attention made us feel less like guests and more like old friends!

We've used the baby go lightly service this week. I feel that this is one of the things that singles Anassa out as being genuinely child friendly as opposed to just paying lip service as so many other hotels do.

However.....if you are the type who objects to children, their noise and paraphernalia, I would avoid school holiday like the plague. My sister visits outside of the holidays and assures me it's altogether more grown up and tranquil!

Ticks all the boxes and we will be back!

Our 3rd visit to this fabulous hotel. This time with our 3 month old daughter. Plenty to do for our 6 year old son, from watersports, great pools and beach and a kids club that allows you to dip in and out as you please.

The rooms are big and very well appointed, and the variety of restaurants and service are amazing. Mr Mavroutmatis, the General Manager is accessible and friendly, and he has assembled a first class team from the restaurant staff right through to the pool guys and the room service team.

Some special mentions must go to Dora, Marina, Andreas and Andrew in the main restaurant, and Dave, Laura, Joe and Chris at the watersports centre - our son can now waterski like a mini pro.

Quite simply this place is perfect if you are looking for child friendly yet sophisticated and luxurious. It really does exist here.

Already planning next year's trip.

We decided to spend our last evening in latchi eating at the anassa hotel. We had been in earlier in the week and asked to review the menu for the basilica restaurant and subsequently booked a table.
Having got to the restaurant and looked at the menu we realised that it was not the same menu we had been given to review previously. We were asked if we wanted to change to the menu for the Helios restaurant which we did.
My partner and I have spent several holidays in Barbados and have eaten at some top class restaurants including sandy lane and the cliffe both of which surpass the anassa on every level - the food and service is second to none. The waiting staff at anassa come across as unfriendly and stuck up! The menu was fussy and didn't meet with our expectations at all the cost was daylight robbery at €260 - no dessert and just a glass of cold red merlot! Wines by the glass were very limited in fact i could get more choice at my local!! Do not waste your money in the anassa!!

Set on a beautiful part of Cyprus. Lovely FAMILY resort, good service and food but very expensive.

Found the concierge people not helpful. Offered only private car tours of the island. Taxis anywhere were so expensive. We didn't get half board and didn't want to pay the high prices for the buffets and ala carte. What made our trip special was walking each evening to the nearby port where we had delicious Greek food at mom and pop restaurants enjoying the beautiful atmosphere. The service at these restaurants were top notch and it was a pleasure supporting the local community than the extortionate Anassa resort.

Would recommend this resort for families with children and not couples who are seeking solitude.
