Stayed at Vuni Palace May 2014. Hotel ok but staff need to be more customer service friendly some front of house staff were quite rude and unhelpful and not at all welcoming. Breakfast buffet very good and the room cleaning girls were really good.
Wifi was virtually nonexistant and staff acted surprised when you told them. When in reality they had already had loads of complaints.
Think the clients of the casino are more important than the hotel guests .We had travelled from Istanbul and the comparison in the hotel we stayed in was unbelievable.

Recently returned from this hotel, definitely not a 5 star hotel, I would say 3 star at a maximum, for a 3 star hotel it would receive a high score but for a hotel masquerading as a 5 star I'm afraid it won't.

Restaurant - it's poor, the buffet or canteen is basic and the food cold. Any hotel can chop salad up and make it a starter.
Service - poor in general, reception staff appear like they don't really care, the restaurant staff attentive enough. We went into the Irish Bar (not very Irish at all) firstly we were hit with the smell of stale smoke in the room, then the staff member behind the bar walked past us so there was no one to serve us. Not a great problem we would have walked out anyway. Around the pool is quite nice, but you would expect some service to the sunbeds, no... the staff just stand behind their little bar and wait for you to come to them. Which is fair enough, but if you are a hotel which appears to be struggling you put out all stops to try and get people to part with their cash and one of those is asking people on the sun beds if they would like a drink.

WIFI is meant to work in the rooms, but it doesn't so don't hold out any hopes of that, you can get it in the reception okay, but everywhere else is poor.

The rooms were big, which is about the only positive point, they were cleaned daily, but 5 star hotels normally have proper shower curtains that stop water from flooding the bathroom and they definitely have baths without cigarette burns in them.

I very rarely leave reviews as I do work in the travel industry but in this case I felt that the hotel was not a 5 star hotel and it's unfair to hotels that work really hard in getting their 5 stars, providing a quality product to their customers to be associated with this kind of hotel.

In fact the guy who actually passed this as a 5 star needs to be held accountable.

Room Tip: don't go.

Hotel was clean and standard rooms very good size (two queen size beds) TV was old and there was not a good selection of english channels. The approach to the hotel is very shabby and run down but once through to the hotel entrance it is good.

Food is excellent with ample choice, the waiter service in hotel is excellent, both Ahmet Cerrah and Bulent Ibrahim delivered very attentive and excellent service with good humour.

Spa facilities were good but very expensive....don't bother.

There are plenty of restaurants/shops and bars near by but would highly recommend a hire car to explore further.

Overall good value for money and a decent hotel, but would not agree that it is 5 Star, more like a 3+

Room Tip: Try to get a room with an even number, then you should get sun on your balcony Get a high floor to...

I came here with friends and a friend's family in August 2013.

The hotel was lovely. A newly opened place. There were one or two slight teething problems. We had asked for a triple room but the bed wasn't set up on arrival. There weren't any quilts for my bed and I had asked a few times (and which I never got). The room was beautifully set out though. The gym was also not opened when I was there (I had actually brought gym clothes with meespecially).

We paid for all inclusive but please be aware, herbal teas are not included in the drinks. The food was different almost every day (for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was generally the same) and there was a vast selection of everything. It was well cooked and tasty. The waiters were friendly and on hand at every request.

The staff were brilliant overall. We had hired a car so did not need taxis but there were plenty waiting outside the hotel. The pool area needed a bit more space as it was constantly packed unless you got there early. However, there was a little beach area which also had sunbeds to relax.

Do not be decieved by the approach. It is slightly run down but the hotel is new and looked fresh. If you were to walk up the road, there are a strip of shops whcih had a supermarket.

All in all I would recomend this place. Friendly and a good atmosphere.

We found the hotel up to high standards. Stayed at the love boat section. The room was sea view and the furniture was comfortable and of high quality. Booked as bb but after seeing the dinner buffet we changed to hb. Fell in love with desserts but must add that main meals are well cooked and tasty. Hence, did not understand the intention of the bad reviews!! Also got the chance to visit Viva Casino. The atmosphere and the service were excellent. Luck was on my side, won the bingo session!!! The spa experience was also excellent. We got the chocolate massage package :)) was so romantic and interesting ;) a must try for couples!

Room Tip: Sea view room in any building
