Arrived very late at night. Buddha was there to welcome us with a friendly smile and made sure we were made comfortable in our room explaining everything we needed to know. Stayed on a B&B basis. Continental breakfast. Eggs cooked to order. Recommend the omelettes. Room was very clean with modern bathroom. Hairdryer and kettle to make tea etc., All the staff are friendly and helpful. Nice Pool area, clean and tidy. Walter looked after the pool area, served our drinks and lunches was very friend and nothing was to much trouble. Receptionist was also very helpful ordering taxi and booking restaurants.
10/15 minute walk into the shops/harbour. The Harbour is a beautiful setting With lots restaurants to choose from.
Spent the day on a boat trip with Blue Bird from the harbour great day out with a splendid Lunch of Meze, chicken, fish, salad and fruit. Recommend this trip. A visit to Kybele Abbey in the mountains is a must. The views over Kyrenia are amazing. Have a meal in the Abbey grounds or at Bella Pai restaurant. They will send a taxi for you and return you to your hotel. The receptionist will arrange this.
Will definitely return to Sammys Hotel.
Our only complaint and concern was the safe in the wardrobe was not secured and could easily be picked up and taken away.

Room tip: Rooms front of the Hotel with balconies look on to buildings and do not get the sun.

Great value stay in this small, family-run hotel. Very clean, mix of traditional and modern styles but nice shower room, excellent air con, room safe and added bonus of small room 'fridge. pool area is very spacious and well maintained with bar and lunch service. Enjoyed the continental breakfast and very tasty omelettes.

The 4 staff Turan, Budha, Kishan and Mert offer great friendly service and are a credit to their employers. The receptionist is also very helpful with bookings, advice and directions.

Thankyou Sammy and all the staff for a very pleasant 14 days at your Hotel.IT was our first visit to NORTHERN CYPRUS but it wont be our last and of course we will be staying at SAMMYS HOTEL without a doubt. Everyone of the staff worked very hard to ensure we were looked after and nothing was too much trouble for them. Looking forward to seeing you all next year, good luck and thank you again.

Room tip: all the rooms have something to their advantage but the higher rooms possibly have better views.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable holiday staying at Sammy's in Kyrenia on a B&B basis. We were offered a snack when we arrived at the hotel just after 10pm and were immediately impressed by the friendly manner of the staff. Our room was clean and comfortable and kept that way by the staff during our stay. It was a pleasant 15/20 minute stroll into town although if we felt lazy a taxi cost only 10 or 15 tl depending where in town you want to go. We went on a very interesting trip to Famagusta with the Cyprus Paradise rep Mehir and did our own thing on a trip to Nicosia via the local bus from the town, only 5 tl each way per person. We also went on a boat trip - there's plenty of choice - and there's also many other places to spend an enjoyable day out. Eating out in the evening was a pleasure, especially at Niazi's in the town. All in all, a great holiday - a friendly crowd to enjoy a drink with later in the evening and the staff, from reception to the waiters, Matt, Budda and Kissan and Touran who looked after you at the pool could not have been more friendly and helpful.

PS. Don't trust Matt's weather forecasting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since my last visit to this hotel last September 2014 there has been a marked improvement in the place. The bathrooms have had a massive revamp insomuch as the showers are now much larger in size allowing much more room inside them. They are also of a much improved type.
The floors in the bedrooms are now wooden with carpet mats and all stairwells are fully carpeted.
The outside of the hotel has had a fresh coat of paint giving it a much more appealing look.
The pool area is as always a very nice place to while away the time either lying around in the sun on the many sun beds or cooling down in the beautifully kept pool.

The food is still provide on either a B&B or half board basis and snacks served in the covered area along side the pool during the day.
If the half board menu is not to your taste there is a limited A LA Carte menu available which is not always suitable to everyone's liking. You then have to forfeit your in hotel meal and look for an alternative place to eat.
Having stated the above I can still recommend this hotel for a relaxing, cost effective holiday, run by a friendly family staff.

The hotel is situated within walking distance of Kyrenia or ( Girne, as the Turks prefer) with its very picturesque harbour overlooked by the very impressive castle, and bordered by the many Tavernas where you can get a variety of food and drink.

Overall a good place to holiday.

Room tip: Request a room with a balcony, this is on the cooler side of the hotel in the heat of the afternoon.
