Went for a second time for lunch since 2 years ago as my wife insisted to go there as the atmosphere is good, However the menu and the food stayed exactly the same as 2 years ago, Very bad food and ovepriced. Ordered fish(Trout) which was very bad and came with ever worse potatoes with white cheese on top and rice which you could not eat, my wife ordered porkchop which she did not eat and my mother in law ordered Salmon which came in a small plate and it was so small you could of have it for an apertiser. Frozen of course and with no taste, I could not believe that there were not many things to choose from on the menu as last time. For instance we wanted fish and they were only 2 choices, Trout and salmon, both horrible. Even worse is that the bill was overpriced for the quality of the food. My advise is if you want to stay there at the hotel, fine, but eat elsewhere as there are many taverns in the village. A mistake which I wont be doing again. 3 persons with 3 main course was 70 euro. Figure it out:)

We booked this on an impulse after being forced to change our itinerary. I remembered having seen the hotel in a brochure some years ago. The lady on the phone said that, as we were staying for a few nights, she could give us an upgrade to a suite. We arrived a few hours later after a lovely drive through the mountains.
Although we had been to Kakopetria before it was many years ago and we couldn’t find our way to the hotel, but a phonecall brought a golf buggy type vehicle out to lead us to the carpark. The hotel itself is on an old, narrow street closed to normal vehicles for most of day. If you can, pack light – unlike us!
The previous time we visited Kakopetria, this building was probably one of the ones requiring a lot of restoration. What has been done is amazing. The character of the old, wooden structure has been preserved while creating a very comfortable hotel. Our suite was lovely. Spacious, comfortable and with a very large balcony with comfortable armchairs and a table. We also had another, tiny, balcony. Apart from the spacious bedroom and modern bathroom, there was a very large room with 2 sofabeds and full kitchen. There was even a fireplace. I think it would be a nice, cosy place to stay in the winter.
The restaurant served superb food. I have never seen such an extensive list of mezes – 142 of them and lots of choice for us vegetarians. There was also a regular menu. On the Saturday night there was live music in their cellar. This was very popular with the Cypriot tourists and we were able to dine while watching them doing traditional dancing. We stayed late then, when the atmosphere got smoky, we sat on our balcony for a while and continued to listen to the music.
We were very glad we had been forced to change our itinerary. Next time we would include the Linos Inn in it from the start.

We stayed there last year in august and we really liked it but we looked again to stay this year and it was very expensive for what your getting. The food last year anyway wasn't very nice and was SOOOO expensive . We will use it again if the prices were reduced. Will not use the restaurant as it is a very poor menu and very pricey. The live entertainment very slow and boring , needs livening up or a change of musicians . But rooms old fashioned and traditional designed witch we loved , shame about the price .

Very unprofessional staff in the tavern. Not value for money.Expensive menu for traditional dining in a village. They did t serve us the main course! We were waiting for more than an hour for 3 pork chops and a chicken fillet so we cancelled the order! No explanations from the management. We left the tavern nervous and hungry...Never again and of course not recommended!

It is a nice place to stay however we found it very expensive for what you get. You can stay in kakopetria for a lot less and same quality! Not reccomended for low budget travellers and neither for luxury ones.

A romantic overnight was spent at the Linos to celebrate an anniversary. I would describe this venue as an Inn rather than a hotel as travellers looking for a upmarket hotel may be disappointed. The first room we were shown to did not match my booking description but the room was speedily changed by friendly staff to an upper room with a tiny balcony. The room was light airy and clean with large antique furniture. The bathroom was clean but a little worn but the water was hot, the shower pressure good and the towels fluffy and white. It was quiet and restful despite being quite busy in the public areas. The bed was firm, just as I like it, and we enjoyed a good night's sleep. Breakfast was served buffet style and was plentiful. It was difficult to distinguish what was on offer as the lighting over the hot buffet was poor. As I picked up this booking from a seasonal offer I would rate this Inn as very good value for money. Room for improvement? The hotel needs to smarten up the staff uniforms so that staff are easier to distinguish from guests. Jeans and t-shirts could be replaced by more suitable clothing. Traditional Cypriot clothing, perhaps, would provide the icing on the cake of what could be a really traditional experience for guests.
