“Fantastic”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

Please dont go in the middle of the day as there is no shelter and you will burn alive, even on a cloudy day in october it was boiling.
The ruins are spectacular and the area is vast , there is lots to see you park outside and walk in take plenty of water.
Make a day of it as there is a very nice beach next to the ruins.
If you love history you will enjoy it.

“Roman remains”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

Really good. You need a car to get there, and it's a huge site so make sure you have plenty of energy or can take your time. Park just before you enter the site. Cost about 9 Turkish Lira I think. Lots of helpful signposts. Look out for wildlife like butterflies and hares, and the beach near the basilica. There's also a loo near the exit, and a cafe/restaurant before the entrance.

“A must-see”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Salalmis is fantastic. It is hard to believe it is that old. Even mentioned in the bible. There is so much to see and the information maps at each part are really helpful. It is set out over a reasonable size area so you get a good walk too. Very cheap to get in and my children had an enjoyable history lesson. The especially like sitting on the Roman toilets!

“If you like history and the out doors”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

This is a big site, so wear comfy flat shoes and get ready to enjoy a few hours walking, in the sunshine, take the camera, fantastic scenery, nice romantic stroll, you can almost picture it back in the day, so to speak.

“Ruins”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

Not very well loved and not well managed. Covers a large area and it makes for a long walk depending on which route you take, enjoyable just a bit lost in vegetation.
